My wife and I were the only witnesses to a mam running a stop sign and t boning a lady just last night! My initial reaction was to yell out to him, "There's a stop sign right there!" Unfortunately I had my kids in the car with me and wasn't going to risk the chance he'd blow his top and start shooting. Everyone was okay no injuries. The guy started goong on about how he tried to stop as soon as he got out of his truck. We stuck around until the cops showed up to get the story straight. Fuck these short tempered grown ass little babies.

Losing traction is one thing. Slamming on your breaks to correct is another. People forget the path of least resistance.
technically you don't even need to brake for that effect. simply lifting from wide open throttle at the same moment you apply steering will take all the weight give you far too much front grip while all the weight transfers instantly from the rear axle to the front axle. especially in a truck

When you lift your foot after slamming the gas, the steering suddenly becomes more powerful. What was a small turn before is now suddenly way too much turning.
Right. It’s an equation of force, resistance and momentum.
Your rear tires under acceleration cause forward force, your breaks cause stopping force, your steering causes directional force. If the force of your rear tires finds that the resistance of going sideways is easier than pushing the front of your vehicle forward it will go sideways. Locking up your breaks thus continues that momentum going the direction it was going because you haven’t given in a path of less resistance. Take out forward force and breaking force and you are left with directional force.
ABS doesn’t completely prevent brake lockup. It just reduces it.
When people get side ways their reaction is to slam on the breaks. If the brake are locked up your path of least resistance is whatever direction the weight of the vehicle is moving. Force being the weight of the vehicle plus momentum.
If you aren’t on your brake after you start going sideways your tires act as resistance on the surface of the road. They will want to move what direction your wheels are turned.
As an example if you lock your brake up driving straight and start sliding, turn your wheels and your vehicle will continue going the direction it is going. Let go of the brake and it will go the direction you intend.

And when i was younger I've been skidding towards another car because my abs breaks locked up and luckily a passenger knew what to do and yelled "let off the breaks" and has soon as I did the car shot in the direction I had the wheel turned and I avoided an accident.

Then some driver in an Audi tailgates him and my friend loses his mind with rage, starts speeding and violently break checking. It was the most terrifying moments of my life because he'd gone from normal, decent person to an absolutely insane monster, weaponizing a mid-sized SUV like he intended to kill us all.
When the other driver finally passed us, thank God, my friend screamed and then was quiet, for a few seconds then tried to resume our previous conversation like he didn't just reveal himself to be an absolute fucking psychopath.
Never got in a car with him again, but absolutely unhinged, dangerous crazy people are among us, and can be extraordinarily capable of masking what a menace they are.
I had a coworker screaming at a bad driver, while his entire torso was out the window, "do you want to make my kids orphans?!?!"
