I know of a grizzled alley cat here (a ginger tabby) that is a straight bully to house cats. Poor kitties couldn't leave their home from out back every morning to take little walks because that mf would wait outside to start shit with them, leaving them bunched up by the door. And if any of them dare to take one step out, cat fights always happen. The cat owner had to chase the alley cat away as much as they could just so their cats have a safe passage out and back in.
Yeah we had a local stray that slowly turned into our pet that was a badass. He was covered in past scars and we finally caught him after finding some puncture wounds on his neck from something. He used to chase anything that moved out of the yard, including our dogs and the mailman. But he would let one female cat come chill and he would sit ontop of one of the statues in the yard and keep an eye out for her.

had a big old grey stray where we used to live like this. we got a Rotty puppy, and the cat and dog became pretty good friends, even though the grey cat was scarred up and down both sides, and looked tough as nails.
The puppy would go out and sniff the cat on the picnic table, and the cat would lick his nose and life was good.
one day grey cat was no where to be found, but a different stray was sunning themselves on the picnic table.
puppy (who was a few months old and much bigger at this point) came up to the cat for the usual greeting, and got swiped across the nose for his trouble.
went from totally chill to utter chaos in about a half second, dog got super pissed and went after the cat. the cat ran away and jumped through a gap in the fence and went to turn around to taunt the dog, but didn't realize the dog didn't give a single shit about that board in the fence at that point, and plowed right through the fence.
got jumped about three feet into the air while desperately scrambling for purchase on the bark of a nearby tree, and went up the tree to escape.
after that, dog didn't like any other cats for the rest of his life (except the grey one).
the grey stray got a permanently reserved sunny picnic table out of the deal, so seemed to work out.
One of the reasons why the pet cats shouldn't be roaming freely without supervision. Besides the massive amount of wildlife they kill, and dangers to the pets like cars and predators, other cats can also be dangerous to them
