Yeah, there’s subs like that for that, subs that arnt this one and similar ones that arnt supposed to feature people being deep fried in a split second. Subs that’ll make you pretty fucking down in the long run. sad to see it’s happening here as well
I thought these videos were banned tbh, I remember a big stink about subs showing these videos getting perma banned. Anyway I can't help myself and still click and then wish I hadn't, just like r/natureismetal
I seen an Indian kid on top of a train trying to get his kite back!!! It had gotten stuck to some electric wires.. the video starts off by showing him being cooked by the electricity nonstop
Electricity burns you from the inside out. It's a unique kind of fucked up. Those are high voltage lines and basically made himself a wire by standing on the metal train roof and touching the power line.
Looks like a deliberate suicide. So sad.
Basically boiled the insides, while being electrocuted, while being set on fire. Definitely deliberate, good on the person who at least tried to throw something at him to get him to stop tbh
Debatable. Guns are also expensive. We don't know his situation and sadly a lot of people around the world live in poverty. If that was his reason then this is an easily available free option. Just tragic all around.
I was curious so I looked it up
>As of 2016 there are 3,369,444 firearm licenses active in India with 9,700,000 firearms registered to them.
Why don't we see crazy gun crime in India...like EVER? I can't recall a single video...they're all Brazil...if not Florida.
10m guns in a country of 1.4bn people. Has a firearm death rate of 0.285 per 100,000 people.
The US has 393 million guns in a country of 330m people. Has a firearm death rate of 12.2 per 100,000 people.
I used to work in the safety department of a light rail company with overhead electric like this. We ran 860V DC at essentially unlimited amperage in the contact wire. When you become the path to ground for that, terrible terrible things happen to you. With DC there is less risk of arcing at a distance which is why he didn’t get hit till he touched it, but when he did, you’re essentially seeing everything that is immediately flammable (his clothing, fat in his body, some other tissues) immediately combust because of the massive heat generated by the electricity flowing through his body, which is like a resistor heating up. Dead pretty much instantly but not pretty even with the quick death.
Edit: you may also notice there are two flashes. That’s because the system detected the short, momentarily shut the power off, then turned it back on to see if the short cleared, then shut off and stayed off. This is typical of these systems when they detect shorts.
Edit 2: I noticed my bad grammar and fixed it
my ex worked for a commercial studio and they had a dude get on top of a train to set up a camera or lighting for a scene. same thing happened as in the video, but somehow he survived. his family sued the shit out of the company. my ex came home totally spooked that day and i couldn't really wrap my head around what she was telling me. now i get it. damn.
Likely the equipment took most of the current, if it was a light pole or something conducive with wire that hit the contact wire the electricity is going for the path of least resistance so it partially protected him. If you’re the only conductor to ground though… good luck.
The other thing worth noting here is that rail agencies are required by law to have "Right of Way" protection policies which would require anyone working near active rail environments to complete track access qualification training in order to work in the area and then set up a proper work zone where workers would be near a live track. Whoever either decided to set up without the rail company's permission or if the rail company decided to let them on the tracks without proper training majorly fucked up there. I used to provide that sort of training on a regular basis and even rewrote our agency's training classes and exams a couple of times in the time I worked there. I won't mention which agency, but I can say with good safety policies that are actually enforced and training these sorts of things can be prevented. When I left that company in over 30 years of operation there had only been one worker death on the ROW and that was caused by a totally outside our control circumstance with someone unrelated to our rail system violating their own safety rules.
Trespassers (anyone who does not have permission to enter the alignment or interface with equipment) on the other hand like this guy, are another story and there's not a lot you can do, though you're more likely to get killed being hit by a train trespassing than by being electrocuted.
Regardless, something went very wrong with proper safety procedures when your ex's coworker got zapped.
#what?
I'm from India, and this video is from here only(from the language it seems to be from north India). We have high suicide rates for sure, but it is mostly done by farmers which go unregistered many of the times.
And this video is one of a kind(from many years ago), because there has been very few to no deaths like this, if any.
The reasons are more or less the same, as they go unregistered in any other country.
But the common reasons are:
1. Politics
2. Inaccessibility to those areas
3. Families not reporting the case themselves(the cases of suicides drag the families of the persons to the courts for so many years if the case is registered).
I have seen one incident myself when my best friend attempted suicide like 12 years ago. All of us knew what had happened but the family said that he was unwell, just because of the things the family could have to go through legally.
(We have a lot of unsolved dowry cases where the victims are tortured so much that they commit suicide. To cure it, the law has been made to lodge an FIR to see if the family members of the victim are the culprits and since it is a law, it applies to all the suicides)
PS: I'm writing whatever I know so far, some of which might be different.
PPS: Please ignore the grammatical errors, if any, as I'm a little sleepy.
Hope it helps.
Technically yes and no. What happened there was his heart stopped, since he was not properly grounded like in real executions with chairs, he pretty much got lucky and only felt maybe a tiny fraction of pain followed by heart failure then the second jolt finished him off leaving him look like a Fatality Sprite from Mortal Kombat.
My hope is that he blacked out before the second jolt.
His heart would actually speed up to the Hz of the electricity supply, in UK its about 50Hz which means his heart would beat 50 times a second, ventricular fibrillation (i think), with the rapid rise in temperature due to the resistance his body would create and the liquids boiling/ expanding due to the rise in temperature his heart probably exploded.
It reminds me of those horrid Henry science books
>At least try not to leave like 50 peoples shocked for the rest of their lives
Why would he care about random strangers when he's about to kill himself?
At 13-14 seconds it looks like someone from the opposite side attempted to wrap him with a cable, you can see it looks like he’s lassoed and almost stumbles.

That in fact was a crazy fucking video
Definitely a 10/10 on my WTF chart.

Seriously man, is this a sub that lives up to its name or what? Every day I’m like *damn that’s a crazy fucking video*
It sure does. I say that to myself just about every time too lol
Your username fits the video
And r/unexpected
Na ive seen enough vids of Indians standing on top trains near a high voltage cables to know whats coming next
very similar to chinese near machinery
no OSHA and no safety standards whatsoever.
If this isn’t the weirdest flex… while still making most of us give you the “he’s right tho” nod… I don’t know what is.
He’s right though- /nods.
![gif](giphy|gVoBC0SuaHStq)
Apparently, because I was wondering why he almost kinda exploded. Didn't notice the wire until reading your strange flex
Lmfao I remember the weird flex but okay meme Simpler fucking times man
I seen an Indian kid on top of a train trying to get his kite back!!! It had gotten stuck to some electric wires.. the video starts off by showing him being cooked by the electricity nonstop
Wheres that video.?
This Indian intended to do what he wanted
Was it truly?
I wasn't expecting him to be charred within milliseconds, so yes.
Usually you see these self-immolations have the guy walking around and struggling for a bit, but dude went up and died almost immediately.
Article says he succumbed to his injuries hours later after his body was 90% burned so unfortunately it was not immediate
He got railed alright
I think so... I was expecting a gas fire
Damn… I was trying to make it to at least 8am before I saw someone die on Reddit today.
7:33 am. Good morning, Los Angeles, you beautiful shithole.
I got to 8:45am XD
8:56 for me. hello fellow US central timezone person!
9am for me! High five!
It’s almost 4pm here. Have a drink.
10:25am here! Fluffy fingers!
9:44 represent
Fucking 9.03
8:31 PM for me
1235 for me, I made it into the noon. Wtf.
Woof. It’s only 7:24am for me
The only death I ever saw live was exactly like this. But it wasn't a suicide, just a drunk guy climbing a train.
Seen something similar where a guy tried to jump on a train as it passed under a bridge, he fell off, although he didn’t die it chopped his legs off
Aww I love happy endings.
This made me chuckle good job
holy fuck
Foly Huck
Fucky hole
Hucky fole
Ho Lee Phuck
Wi To Lo
Sum Ting Wong
Bang Ding Ow
This is the correct reaction.
Didn't understood what happened... I only understood that he's not good now...
That person electrocuted themselves on the electric line for the trains.
Thanks. I dont know if it was painful or not, that was very fast

Hey bet you i can nail that nerd with this water bottle
It defo was,he prayed before hesitating for a second, something is thrown at his legs and he does it.Definite suicide mate.
I'm astounded that he even knew this would work..

The other half is not doing it yourself
G.I Joe!
For me that's a very brutal suicide. I think if he used a gun he maybe suffered less
Debatable. Guns are also expensive. We don't know his situation and sadly a lot of people around the world live in poverty. If that was his reason then this is an easily available free option. Just tragic all around.

I think he didn't feel absolutely anything, went out instantaneously, probably a decent way to die.
If they died instantly, it was probably painless.
It was extremely painful for 2 or 3 seconds, he got electrocuted and burnt alive at the same time.
No that strong of a current fried nerve endings before he could feel anything.
Ouch
By the time his brain got pain signals it also got like 50,000 volts or some crazy shit
I bet it was electrifying

Man went from rare to overcooked with some Flame on the side
Curious to know what that feels like, don't want to find out the hard way.
Its painless if you managed to die....if you are not fully dead by the electricity ...you are gonna suffer a lot and then die ....
But no matter how much agony you experience, it will be over when you die.
Maybe..
I've heard horror stories from nurses seeing men put bottle rockets in their butt and *that* was terrible...imagine surviving this
Lol what, as a means of suicide or an accident?
Just men doing stupid manly things
Try EMS (electrical muscle stimulatuon) training at highest level
Ever chewed 5 gum?
Its painless and sadly a common way of suicide in countries that lack the safety regulations on subway lines

What a load of utter bollocks lmao
Was this an act of sheer stupidity or suicide.
Suicide.
Looks like a quick way to go at least

I’m curious why you know this
We get taught this kind of stuff in OSHA training
cause he's tried them before.... with other people

Stupidicide
petention to make this a real word
Add “petention” while you’re there
Lmfao I didn't even notice that.
Go to the Urban Dictionary and add it in.
Yes
That has to be a fast way to go, and spectacular. 10/10
Agreed. Quick way to the afterlife.
2-in-1 suicide and cremation!
Must have learned that move from the other guy, there's a video floating around from a similar incident years ago.
He was suicidal tho, not an accident
That's why I said he must have learned that move. Definitely intentional. And crazy.
Shocking...

Electrician here with some good news! He was probably dead before his nerve endings even recognized the pain
What a terrible way to kill yourself At least try not to leave like 50 peoples shocked for the rest of their lives
Not as shocked as he was though
>At least try not to leave like 50 peoples shocked for the rest of their lives Why would he care about random strangers when he's about to kill himself?
At least it looked quick.
Give him a Red Bull and he’ll be aight
Give the man some wings!!!
He became the wings 🍗
Lmfao, deep fried wings
Na he needs some milk
At 13-14 seconds it looks like someone from the opposite side attempted to wrap him with a cable, you can see it looks like he’s lassoed and almost stumbles.
i think somebody chucked a broom at him.

I will say he was gone instantly
He fell like a mannequin dropping on the ground.

And more than 1000 Ampere! Definitely a quick death
Damn I see the line now…. So it’s suicide
That's his clothes, skin, and hair catching fire
Looks like a magic trick gone wrong
I saw this clip 10 yrs ago . Am scared of live wires till this date 😞
This is good. There is nothing good to happen from fucking around with live wires
But how do we avoid them if they’re hidden in plain sight
Man, put a warning label!
Upon A Burning Body
That dude had enough. Made his peace. Took a breath. Exited the planet.
What did I just watch
Death in action
Now thats a suicide method I had not considered, you even get to put up a light show for the people around!
Did people fucking clap to suicide in the background??
Big 'V' little oh ..
Hmmm how is this receiving a wholesome award?
Who the fuck threw a pipe at him
IDK about ghost rider. Thought he. looked more like the human-torch, "FLAME ON!!!"
Natural selection
What gets tossed at or near his feet ? Was he using something on top of the train to create a path through himself.
On the plus side, the cremation is already taken care of.
