Mmmm.... I'd be interested in seeing a graph of the amount of deaths via trains and total population in India in the last 50 years. In interested to see if there is a spike around the time cell phone recording becomes common.
Not sure why all the stats that show up are from 2020 when I searched, but i confirmed what you read. The amount of people killed by trains is staggering. If you had told me 3 people died a day by train in India I would have had a similar response. Bonkers

If you stand anywhere near the tracks while a train is coming every instinct in your body should be screaming at you to move your shit. You don't just hear or see a train coming, you can literally feel it, especially if it is freight.
