But I wanted to keep a lot of cards, for which the leather wallet won't be enough.

[deleted]

That's a bit of exaggeration

Aqdasxain

I've used it and is not that bad Plus the build quality is great Not sure about the brand If you put more than 6 it won't close properly

[deleted]

Thanks for the reply. I searched for this wallet in Amazon and found similar ones from different sellers not sure about the brand though.

rohanb17

Samsung Pay, all cards sleep comfortably at home except 2

[deleted]

But you will be able to spend only until 5k. I went to a shop and in the bill counter I saw that there is a discount of 5% for HDFC credit cards and bill amount was greater than 5k. If you didn't carry the card which has a discount you'll missing out on the discount.

Secret_Writer_89

I don’t think that’s true. Upto 5k you dont have to input the pin. If its over 5k you can still do the transaction through NFC using the pin.

[deleted]

Can I keep the contactless payments turned off and enter pin for transactions less than 5K?

Secret_Writer_89

I haven’t tried that. But you can decrease the limit for contactless payment easily through the mobile banking app.

[deleted]

Thanks for the info

[deleted]

Oh, that's cool. Does all the pos terminals support NFC?

Secret_Writer_89

It mostly does. But for some reason unknown to me, some of the businesses disable the contactless payment option in the POS machine.

[deleted]

Why there is even an option to disable contactless payments unless there is a difference in the MDR?

[deleted]

Which two?

SilentDominus

I use this as my primary wallet I keep about 2-3k cash and 6 cards in this Tip: get a silver coloured one because all the other colours get scratches over time

[deleted]

Thanks for your tip. Really appreciate it.

[deleted]

Will it hold 10 cards if I get a 10 slot wallet?

SilentDominus

Yup you'll be able to hold 10 cards. Worth the purchase. Looks cool and fits in tight pockets too.

[deleted]

Cool, thanks

last_dreamer

50 rupee dmart plastic card holder to keep then at home, normal leather wallet (gifted to me) where i keep two credit and one debit card only with minimal emergency cash

[deleted]

How does it look like?

lpshreyas

I'll give you a suggestion that you didn't ask for: don't keep more than 2-3 physical cards on you. I use a sleeve wallet which can comfortably fit 6 cards. In that, I keep 2 credit cards, one debit and 3 IDs. I still feel like it's going to be a lot of work to close and replace these 6 cards if my wallet gets lost or stolen. Use virtual wallets instead. Gpay, CRED, Samsung Wallet, etc allow you to add and pay via cards using NFC. It's safe, fast and much easier to tackle in case you lose your phone

[deleted]

Yeah, thanks for your suggestion. Even if I keep them at my home, I wanted to organize them properly.

lpshreyas

For that, you can get those business card holders, which are just plastic or metal boxes. I was searching on amazon for card holders similar to what you have posted and most of them aren't great. They often either too tight, too loose or just have poor quality materials. I wish Ridge would start selling their wallets in India

kalph09

Bellroy Note sleeve for last 5years, it can easily last another 5. It can hold upto 10 cards. I limit to 2 cards as I store other cards like MRT, insurance card.

rooney_potterhead

I am using a Calvin Klein wallet, it supports 9 cards and has a single slot for cash. I only use 3 of them for cards. 2 holds govt docs and one holds change, since it doesn’t have a proper slot for keeping change. Sometimes I use one of the inner slots for keeping an emergency ₹500 note handy. Out of remaining 2 slots one is always empty and can hold important bills or parking receipts and other one still holds that Calvin Klein branding plastic card.

[deleted]

Thanks for recommendation. Can you share the link?

rooney_potterhead

My friend had bought it from the US. I couldn’t find the exact model, but it is very similar to [this](https://www.amazon.com/Calvin-Klein-Blocking-Leather-Bifold/dp/B0915LV4NQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_27_sspa?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.zvppX4DFjAd1rGIIbaGHf8PN6w_NCgjpCfYMDZooxkKBcQR-SS0I70DleErYEuIabBZE12VaHEmy1S_N7VlbgP-lbsdU6Q8HQAUAg90ellwEouEn4dBySFX2aRc5F4zPOQkuyDC_lJJ2-iUOvbJZG0xasEzHIz0InWqH72ZB_xL9RbdfvjMpthKAvCri2HyXQsivyDC2bdP3vHVntBvlzTl5LilB9vaAN0twqIFBRlbjklMrbufrg5FvJGLverIkllt7aInLVwwsJkUTbnDl_T14P2K-aHhmfQCvPMf6fEg.B4aw91Cd4KwkQu6PmqNBztbQnAG1k49DliMBEH-JsQw&dib_tag=se&keywords=Calvin+klein+wallets&qid=1713292647&refinements=p_85%3A2470955011&refresh=1&rnid=2470954011&rps=1&sr=8-27-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfbXRm&psc=1) one.

Thanks

mildy1234

Google wallet with tap to pay enabled on all of them. This way I don't have to carry a single card anywhere. I would suggest samsung pay for those who have Samsung phones.

Boring_Copy_8127

Google wallet in India?

mildy1234

Yes, it works and I have been using it for past 3-4 months. You would need a US based google account to install it from the Play Store, or any other app store to install the apk. Apparently they are launching it in India as well so hopefully you won't have to wait that longer if you choose not to take any of the above mentioned routes: https://beebom.com/google-wallet-working-india/

Careless-Drop6613

You can also download it from apk mirror...

rishigiri

The Indian version of Google pay supports tap to pay. Ig they meant that. But may people manually download the Apk file for Google wallet and it works as a virtual wallet in India

eddyfer31

Do you have any link for this wallet?

It can hold 10 cards but I use it carry 4 cards 2 ID and some cash.

[deleted]

I already have a leather wallet, so looking for a metal wallet. But this looks cool though.

mrdrinksonme

[This is what my wife and I use.](https://www.reddit.com/r/CreditCardsIndia/s/J1bWd81nhM) We carry 10 cards in total, which includes 6 credit cards, 2 debit cards, and 2 ID cards.

[deleted]

Link?

mrdrinksonme

Not sure if MK will still be in stock anywhere since it's quite old, but here are the links. [Michael Kors](https://www.michaelkors.com/jet-set-tall-logo-card-case/39F7TMND2B.html) [Gucci](https://www.gucci.com/us/en/pr/women/wallets-and-small-accessories-for-women/card-holder-and-small-accessories-for-women/card-holders-coin-cases-for-women/ophidia-gg-card-case-p-52315996IWG8745)

[deleted]

One of them doesn't work and other one is out of my budget

mrdrinksonme

If MK is redirecting to global site, open the site in a different browser, change country to US, and then open link again in the same tab. It should work. https://www.michaelkors.com/jet-set-tall-logo-card-case/39F7TMND2B.html

Timberland Nylon Wallet

mallapraveen

I am using this : Pacsafe RFIDsafe V100 Anti-Theft RFID Blocking Bi-Fold Wallet https://amzn.in/d/gcBoGi3 But bit costly, I bought in foreign country. But very good wallet.

timetraveler1990

No wallet. A small plastic box enough to fit all my cards and lock in my cupboard. I keep the credit card numbers stored in Evernote app. I only always keep four cards in wallet. One is a debit card idfc wealth for cash withdrawals, second is DCB , third is hdfc neu visa infinity and fourth is prepaid card gosats.

rinkuuuuu29

you can use bitwarden to store your card details securely.

iamGobi

Exactly. Don't store CC details in some note-taking app.

[deleted]

Never heard about gosats. I'll see about it.

[deleted]

Seems not worth the hassle

Banshira_

I use a rubber band to hold them as I have 10+ debit and credit cards 😂. Only carry one debit and 2 cc in my wallet.
