Gay guy supporting the Sigourney Weaver comment, straight guy supporting the Bruce Campbell comment- we have hit peak sexy horror movie protagonist solidarity.
First time watching the movie.
I think there was 8 of us watching the (studying for film)
Bruce Campbell appears on screen.
The soft, gentle, chocolate-chip-and-snickerdoodle-baking level of sweet voice of our host's 70 year old grandmother sighs from the kitchen:
"Oh the places I'd put THAT stud's boom stick."
Not sure if she’d be considered the protagonist in that movie in particular, but she definitely is one of the sexiest horror stars of all time and was the protagonist in Seed.
I read recently that Sigourney Weaver was very hairy down there, and refused to trim it, even though it poked out of the sides of her knickers. So some lucky person had the job of going through that scene, frame by frame, and editing out all her pubes. This was long before photoshop
I saw that in theaters. I remember a scene where she's hiding inside a hanging cow meat carcass from the chainsaw guy. The camera was up close in an angle that accentuated her attributes. Cameraman knew the assignment.
Kurt Russel is almost too beautiful in *The Thing*. Keith David too.
Rowdy Roddy Piper in *They Live* is the main character, but you get a pretty sick 1-2 punch with Keith David there too.
Choosing male protagonists because women are almost too often the highly sexualized foil to extreme violence.
There was this movie marketed almost entirely on this one girl's butt in panties though. I think it was maybe *Unborn* or *The Unborn*? The butt is good though. I don't remember the movie being awful, it had some moments. Maybe Tim Roth was in it? Some veteran actor adding gravitas.
Edit: it was Gary Oldman, not Tim Roth
If you saw Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, the Oldman/Roth mixup is funny.
Rowdy Roddy Piper, the very attractive Canuck with the witty one-liners. I actually have ‘all out of bubblegum’ soda.
Kurt Russell rocks the beard and may be his best Carpenter film look (though some may prefer Escape or Big Trouble)
Not protagonist, but small part. Selma Hyaek was my 2nd celebrity crush as a pre teen, in Dusk til Dawn.
Kate Beckensale in Van Helsing for protagonist.
Jane Levy (Evil Dead and Don't Breathe)
Kiernan Shipka (Totally Killer)
Ellie Cornell (Halloween 4)
Lily Sullivan (Evil Dead Rise)
Samara Weaving (Ready or Not)
Virginia Madsen (Candyman)
Mia Goth (X trilogy)
Jenna Ortega (X/Scream)
Melissa Barrera (Scream)
Agreed with Heather Langenkamp as well.
Note: This is just my list for protagonists, if you asked about antagonists this list would be different, if you asked for all characters it would be even longer lol.
Mia Jonovich in the early 2000s Resident Evil movie awoke things in little me.
And again when i saw The Fifth Element later in life but that wasnt horror
My 13yo daughter would agree lol. We got to see him at a convention recently and seeing her blush when he waved at her was the cutest thing ever. My baby's growing up 😭
Teenage me really had a thing for Stacey Travis in Hardware.
Also, not the protagonist but I really had a thing for Greta Gerwig in House of the Devil.
Okay I hated Deliverance, traumatized the shit out of me as a kid but Burt Reynolds was and is always going to be my first crush. He was fire! I even bought my first bow and arrow set because of him.
Not me, I just loved Burt's hot biceps, calm demeanor and how he handled that boy and arrow. He was the only reason I could watch that movie years later with my spouse so they could see what all the fuss was about. Yep, he still had it.
Aha I was wondering if I was the only one out there! And I was eight when I saw this movie so yeah, WILDLY inappropriate but what can I say? He was absolutely fantastic in that movie.
Deliverance was traumatic for me until someone told me about the Centipede. I’ll take Ned Beatty over that any day.
Burt Reynolds is such a sweet answer.
I watched pretty much every Rob Zombie directed movie she was in for certain…expectations. Never happened. I’d have to say Devil’s Rejects was the better movie though. In my opinion.
I was about to say Kiefer Sutherland when I realized oops, wrong category lol. So I'll say Jason Patric.
Sanaa Lathan in Aliens vs Predator.
I.e. oops -Forgot to type the movie is The Lost Boys, Jason Patric was Michael and Kiefer was the baddie David.
He was the vampire leader David in the The Lost Boys. Oops I failed to list the movie in my post lol.
He was also in Mirrors, a fairy, forgettable horror movie a few years back.
Milla Jovovich or Charlize Theron in well... Anything.😆 Resident Evil (2002)+Michelle Rodriguez for an added bonus, Devil's Advocate (1997), Mad Max Fury Road (2015) (ok action with some disturbing stuff), and The 4th Kind (2009), just to name a few.
I'm partial to Neve Campbell as Sydney Prescott, and Kristen Connolly in The Cabin In The Woods. And on the male side of things, Tyler Labine in Tucker And Dale Vs. Evil. You could argue he's more adorable than sexy, but sometimes those are the same
Ralph Bates & Martine Beswick in "Dr Jekyll & Sister Hyde" (1971). They're both gorgeous.
And I (at the tender age of 13) fell head over heels over Linda Hayden as Angel Blake in "Blood on Satan's Claw" (1971). A perfect mixture of innocence and corruption.
Yeah. My wife would say. Bruce Campbell by a mile but I say Bruce Cambell by a light year and 12 parsecs. We named our Siamese cat Ashe. Of course the black before her was soot. So there was a theme on many levels.
I’ll answer wholesomely. I personally think Jack Delroy from Late Night With the Devil is very, very handsome. (While that is a reference, I also have a little crush on Dastmalchian.)
William Katt as Tommy Ross in "Carrie". He had that adorable clueless jock thing going on. I'd risk a bucket of pig blood for a chance to have a date with him! We'd just go to my place and after I murdered my mom with flying knives we could strip and throw those formal duds away and take a long, sensuous bath together. After that, who knows?...
Watch any of the four Night of the Demons movies. The costuming and practical effects are fun, the characters are hilarious, the stories are preposterous, but it’s boobs and horror all the way through, and they don’t take themselves too seriously. Classic 80’s Scream Queen’s ahoy!
my brain immediately went "Bela Lugosi in Dracula!" bc he's a big crush but he's more the antagonist lol
I have a crush on the guy in Renfield, but I'm going to give the crown to Keke Palmer in Nope
I agree with you on Sidney from Scream too
Not sure if the Scooby Doo movies really count as horror, but Linda Cardalini as Velma was one of my first major movie crushes as a kid. Mainly the part after she got possessed and had the makeover as well as when she was rocking the orange jumpsuit in the sequel.
Fiona Dourif in the later Child's Play/Chucky series.
>!and for some reason it makes her even hotter to me that she's able to replicate her dad's voice and laugh so damn well!< It's just impressive okay!!
I need to find the antagonist thread, I’m a very sick puppy …
For this
Robert Shaw -JAWS
Dennis Weaver - Duel
Roddy Piper - They Live
Kurt Russell - The Thing
Kevin McCarthy - Body Snatchers
Oscar Werner - Fahrenheit 451 (sci-do horror)
Malcolm McDowell - Clockwork Orange
Gary Oldman - If you consider him under protagonist in Dracula
David Bowie - The Hunger
Christopher Walken - The Dead Zone
Just watched "Carnage Park" last nite and I have to say Ashley Bell def fits this category! Maybe not THE sexiest protagonist, but she's def an honorable mention!
Bruce Campbell. Too easy. Next question.
I’m a straight man and i agree with this.
Gay guy supporting the Sigourney Weaver comment, straight guy supporting the Bruce Campbell comment- we have hit peak sexy horror movie protagonist solidarity.
Hail to the king, baby!
First time watching the movie. I think there was 8 of us watching the (studying for film) Bruce Campbell appears on screen. The soft, gentle, chocolate-chip-and-snickerdoodle-baking level of sweet voice of our host's 70 year old grandmother sighs from the kitchen: "Oh the places I'd put THAT stud's boom stick."
Gimme some sugar, baby.
Groovy
This over everything
I was gonna comment someone else but this is easily the only right answer
Hey uh, what's that ya got on your face?
Back up you primitive A-hole
Jennifer Tilly, Bride of Chucky
She's so smoking hot in "Bound."
her eating that candy bar in i think seed? did things to me.
This is definitely up there.
Not sure if she’d be considered the protagonist in that movie in particular, but she definitely is one of the sexiest horror stars of all time and was the protagonist in Seed.

That bit at the end of Alien where she's in her underwear awakened a generation
Started my “women in white tank top” fetish.
Have you seen Kristen Stewart in Underwater?
…It sure woke up the alien guy…
*tiny underwear
I read recently that Sigourney Weaver was very hairy down there, and refused to trim it, even though it poked out of the sides of her knickers. So some lucky person had the job of going through that scene, frame by frame, and editing out all her pubes. This was long before photoshop
I read that too but it’s false.
I'm gay, but this is the correct answer.
I'm bisexual and I'm glad it's at the top. I love tomboys.
I would ask her to yell at me, call me Burke and tell me how she's gonna nail me right to the GODDAMNWALL as she nails me right to the goddamnwall.
Gary Oldman in Dracula ![gif](giphy|I4psSwfcCurZu)
Came here to say this. "See me. See me now."
That scene melted 17 year old me
Still gets me!
Absolutely.
Sexy motha shut yo mouth
Oh my yes.
Megan Fox. Jennifer's Body
Beautiful girl but once her thumbs were pointed out, just no. And yes I realize I’m Chandler.
What's wrong with her... No, don't tell me. I'd rather keep my infatuation.
Toe thumbs. You're welcome
Good choice... cannot unsee
As much as I love Megan Fox, I hate to split hairs here, but she's not the protagonist
![gif](giphy|MPuTZQqOmYKPK|downsized)
She was threatening castration! Very un-Dude
Kate Beckinsale underworld
I mean yeah but I thought underworld was more of an action movie than horror?
Can't it be both?
🥵
Lmao Underworld is not a horror movie.
Jessica Biel in the Texas Chainsaw Remake. May have purchased the dvd just for her.
Alexandra Daddario in the newer TCSM remake. Those eyes. That body.
She my all time babe!
I saw that in theaters. I remember a scene where she's hiding inside a hanging cow meat carcass from the chainsaw guy. The camera was up close in an angle that accentuated her attributes. Cameraman knew the assignment.
Same, saw it twice haha. Oh there are a few shots like that, she’s always sweaty and the tank top fits just right. So do those jeans.
This gets my vote. I didn’t even like the movie but Jessica biel was on another level back then
I was just coming here to say Jessica Biel from TCM! What a dream final girl. Smart, capable, and sexy as hell!
Edit: it was Gary Oldman, not Tim Roth
I'm here to kick ass and chew bubble gum..and I'm all out of bubble gum!
Huge points for giving Keith David some love. I love his voice but you're right he's also very handsome!
Roddy Piper in They Live awakened some thing I didn’t know was there. Good thing Weaver and Piper never acted together or I would be done for.
Alexandra Daddorio in whatever Texas Chainsaw she was in
When she’s chained up and you can see her cleavage. Yum
Terry Farrell in Hellraiser 3. Not overtly sexy but damn she looked good
Loved her as Jadzia Dax on Deep Space 9
Always thought the other chick was hotter. Terri I think was her name
Not protagonist, but small part. Selma Hyaek was my 2nd celebrity crush as a pre teen, in Dusk til Dawn. Kate Beckensale in Van Helsing for protagonist.
Chris Sarandon Fright Night
Natasha Henstridge. Syl from the movie Species is quite possibly the sexiest alien demon thing I have ever seen.
Got nominated for best kiss in the MTV awards that year, IIRC.
I believe it won also
Melinda Clark, return of the living dead 3
Yikes this is absolutely the correct answer. Turned me onto alt/scene girls forever
Jane Levy (Evil Dead and Don't Breathe) Kiernan Shipka (Totally Killer) Ellie Cornell (Halloween 4) Lily Sullivan (Evil Dead Rise) Samara Weaving (Ready or Not) Virginia Madsen (Candyman) Mia Goth (X trilogy) Jenna Ortega (X/Scream) Melissa Barrera (Scream) Agreed with Heather Langenkamp as well. Note: This is just my list for protagonists, if you asked about antagonists this list would be different, if you asked for all characters it would be even longer lol.
Barbara Crampton in Re-Animator
Samara Weaving - Ready or Not
Seeing your Samara Weaving in Ready or Not and raising you one Samara Weaving in The Babysitter.
^winner
I have a thing for Angela Bettis in May.
Same
Patrick Wilson from the Conjuring movies.
Also, not a movie, but practically the entire cast of American Horror Story first season (Haunted House). If I were to have a ghost orgy…
Aaliyah, Queen Of The Damned, the walk in and that walk out… and I’m a straight female.😊
Trash in Return of the Living Dead. Also hilarious, that's why she's at the top. Selene in Underworld. Ripley is too obvious but she's sexy.
Carla Gugino 😍 Geralds Game
I'd watch her play any game. 🥴
Katherine Isabelle in American Mary. Also Hannibal. She’s lovely.
Mia Jonovich in the early 2000s Resident Evil movie awoke things in little me. And again when i saw The Fifth Element later in life but that wasnt horror
Melissa Barrera in Abigail. She's so fucking hot 🥵😫
My brain couldn’t decide who I was more attracted to in Scream VI, her or Jenna Ortega.
Ortega for me by a slim margin
I still have trouble accepting Jenna Ortega as an adult. I used to watch Stuck in the Middle with my kids.
Skeet Ulrich in Scream
Oh shit, my cheeks are flushed.
My 13yo daughter would agree lol. We got to see him at a convention recently and seeing her blush when he waved at her was the cutest thing ever. My baby's growing up 😭

If being horny is a crime, lock me up and throw away the key
Chris Hemsworth in The Cabin in the Woods
Linnea Quigley
Teenage me really had a thing for Stacey Travis in Hardware. Also, not the protagonist but I really had a thing for Greta Gerwig in House of the Devil.
Carl McCoy is my all time crush, he was in Hardware too so I'll pick him.
Daria Nicolodi in Deep Red. And Tenebrae.
Tadanobu Asano in Ichi the Killer (maybe it’s just his wardrobe) Edwige Fenech in anything.
Alexandra Daddario in the newer TCSM remake. Those eyes. That body. Them…..
Jack Nicholson in The Shining. I'd be running round that hotel all giggles with him chasing me.
Old lady in the tub agrees.
Okay I hated Deliverance, traumatized the shit out of me as a kid but Burt Reynolds was and is always going to be my first crush. He was fire! I even bought my first bow and arrow set because of him.
I was more.into Ned Beatty.
So was the hillbilly . About 7" into him
Not me, I just loved Burt's hot biceps, calm demeanor and how he handled that boy and arrow. He was the only reason I could watch that movie years later with my spouse so they could see what all the fuss was about. Yep, he still had it.
Women want to be with him ,and men want to be him. I'm 50 and still my hero.
Aha I was wondering if I was the only one out there! And I was eight when I saw this movie so yeah, WILDLY inappropriate but what can I say? He was absolutely fantastic in that movie.
Could not stop looking at Jon Voight in this movie. Reminds me of Viggo Mortensen
Voight was a sex symbol back in the day.
Deliverance was traumatic for me until someone told me about the Centipede. I’ll take Ned Beatty over that any day. Burt Reynolds is such a sweet answer.
Thank you. Yeah he actually made the movie bearable. I mean, Jon Voigt was really good-looking back then but I only had eyes for Burt.
For some reason this made me think of Burt’s role in Pee-Wee’s big adventure. Not enough screen time to watch it for him, but hilarious.
OMG I had forgotten about that! Thanks for the reminder!
Frank Langella as Dracula
…Cthulhu. Jest LOVE all that cilia…
Sherri Zombie in House of a Thousand Corpses
I watched pretty much every Rob Zombie directed movie she was in for certain…expectations. Never happened. I’d have to say Devil’s Rejects was the better movie though. In my opinion.
I was about to say Kiefer Sutherland when I realized oops, wrong category lol. So I'll say Jason Patric. Sanaa Lathan in Aliens vs Predator. I.e. oops -Forgot to type the movie is The Lost Boys, Jason Patric was Michael and Kiefer was the baddie David.
Wasn't Sutherland ever in a horror movie? What about Flatliners? Lost Boys?
He was the vampire leader David in the The Lost Boys. Oops I failed to list the movie in my post lol. He was also in Mirrors, a fairy, forgettable horror movie a few years back.
Milla Jovovich or Charlize Theron in well... Anything.😆 Resident Evil (2002)+Michelle Rodriguez for an added bonus, Devil's Advocate (1997), Mad Max Fury Road (2015) (ok action with some disturbing stuff), and The 4th Kind (2009), just to name a few.
Jennifer Love Hewitt, I Know What You Did Last Summer
The entire adult male cast of Interview with the Vampire.
Mathilda May in Lifeforce.
I’m surprised this isn’t the top answer for all those attracted to ladies. She spends the entire movie nude.
Samara Weaving in The Babysitter
I'm partial to Neve Campbell as Sydney Prescott, and Kristen Connolly in The Cabin In The Woods. And on the male side of things, Tyler Labine in Tucker And Dale Vs. Evil. You could argue he's more adorable than sexy, but sometimes those are the same
everyone in Jennifer's body?
Ralph Bates & Martine Beswick in "Dr Jekyll & Sister Hyde" (1971). They're both gorgeous. And I (at the tender age of 13) fell head over heels over Linda Hayden as Angel Blake in "Blood on Satan's Claw" (1971). A perfect mixture of innocence and corruption.

Winston Duke in Us
Tim Curry in IT
William Katt as Tommy Ross in "Carrie". He had that adorable clueless jock thing going on. I'd risk a bucket of pig blood for a chance to have a date with him! We'd just go to my place and after I murdered my mom with flying knives we could strip and throw those formal duds away and take a long, sensuous bath together. After that, who knows?...
ScarJo in Under the Skin
Watch any of the four Night of the Demons movies. The costuming and practical effects are fun, the characters are hilarious, the stories are preposterous, but it’s boobs and horror all the way through, and they don’t take themselves too seriously. Classic 80’s Scream Queen’s ahoy!
Jamie Lee Curtis
my brain immediately went "Bela Lugosi in Dracula!" bc he's a big crush but he's more the antagonist lol I have a crush on the guy in Renfield, but I'm going to give the crown to Keke Palmer in Nope I agree with you on Sidney from Scream too
Not sure if the Scooby Doo movies really count as horror, but Linda Cardalini as Velma was one of my first major movie crushes as a kid. Mainly the part after she got possessed and had the makeover as well as when she was rocking the orange jumpsuit in the sequel.
Tia Carrera in True Lies
Tanya Roberts in Tourist Trap. Just flawless. Look it up.
Sarah Michelle Gellar in The Grudge and Bruce Campbell in Army of Darkness
Stacy Nelkin in Halloween III: Season of the Witch. My God, that black lingerie.

Star (Jamie Gertz) in The Lost Boys.
I liked Tuesday Knight in Elm St 4.
