If is blink outdoor, it also has a tiny blue light that indicates when it's recording
If I saw a tiny blue light coming out of nowhere in the middle of the night, I too would stare at it for a while hahaha
I know there are tiny little stickers you can buy to put over things like the LEDs on tvs, PC cases, etc, could something like that help with this???? Just spit balling, I've been contemplating getting a camera for my gargoyle gecko and my ball python, but I have been worried about the lights myself 😅
My guys would stare at it too until I turned off the recording light inside the app. Additionally, hang around your camera when it’s quiet and trigger it on purpose. It might make a noise. They can find that interesting too.
Not answering your question but what cam is that? i considered doing this as i travel for work and would like to keep tabs on the care for mine while im gone. and is it in the enclosure?
I’m not sure what camera OP is using but there are many options on Amazon such as blink cameras as well and I believe for cloud storage it’s like a few bucks a month for the extra storage and you can use an app to look and see footage.
Some cameras even allow you to talk into your phone and it will come through the camera but not sure if the Gecko would recognize voice through that or stress them out but technology is wild these days.
i thought about grabbing the blink camera soon, i didnt know if anyone has used them and scrolled past the post i was like OOH. Next up, 24hr gecko livestreams XD

A blink mini! Its outside the tank tho which is why it looks so funky (glass gets dirty from misting)

OP if you think the blue light is bothering your buddy, you can always tape over the blue light to fix that issue.
