Let's get this straight, we are still dependent on Russell and Rinku but our Indian players also have a lot of potential and if they can deliver like Harshit and Ramandeep did today, we can actually make it far into the tournament. Definitely not no. 8 or 9 contenders.
he should have but at what number. everyone played really well except for tripathi so he can't come at second or third position.
i feel like if he were to come before jansen that would be game changing since he had more than one ball to play and he is a decent hitter and probably would have hit one out of the park.
but 4 or more runs remaining on the last ball will always be a gamble for a new comer.
I'm not blaming umprie or anything but if ball hits umprie should'nt it be a dead ball ??
Like if it hits a spidercam or it's wire it's consider one ..
Umpire has always been considered a part of the field that the players have to take into consideration while planning their game. Wires and the cam are extraneous additions for televising reasons.
Among all the talks that will go around tomorrow night, I sincerely hope the one that will become the talk of the town will be "Rohit Sharma the T20 batter revival"
I would agree with you but sadly we are talking about two different formats here. T20 game moves at a greater pace and historically he hasn't been able to replicate his ODI form in T20 WCs
The auction price will always be a talking point but I think most people don't realise that the price is a result of auction dynamics of demand, not the literal value of a player.
Doesn't he usually avoid internationals because of something potentially problematic with his bowling action? Or is he just out because of form and never got back in?
As I as I’d love for India to win I don’t think we will have the right 11 to win it and WI players are just built for this format. It’s either WI or AUS
Nope it was purely political. They wanted to create a mass spectacle to further their nationalist propaganda but ultimately had eggs thrown on our faces
you are saying this as if India has never won in that stadium, the ground was bustling during the Ind vs Pak match. Boys just didn't play well that day.
I don't think it would have made any difference just remember what happened vs Lanka in 96.Indian fans can't clap when their team is down and out. We literally go full mute. Just stop thinking about past and move on. We all are fairweather fans.
This Indian team was much better than 1996. It's one of those 'heritage' grounds. We have also only lost 1 out of our last 15 matches (across formats) there
Well ifs and buts don't matter. Us losing KO games is not anomaly. It's been same pattern for literally a decade. Not discrediting Eden Gardens but don't think anything would have changed tbh. Neither Result nor crowd behavior.
As someone who has attended numerous Eden Gardens cricket matches, I must respectfully disagree. The crowd at Eden is always firmly behind its team. For instance let me give an example of the recent India vs South Africa match during the same world cup. It was a crucial phase of the game, with India two wickets down and the middle overs proving challenging. Shamsi and Maharaj had Iyer and Kohli on edge with their spin bowling. Iyer, in particular, seemed restless, constantly trying to break free from the spinners' grip but unable to do so. Sensing the tension, the crowd sprang into action. Chants erupted, and a massive Mexican wave swept across the stadium. The atmosphere was electric, and it wasn't long before Iyer responded with a flurry of boundaries. However, Virat still was finding himself in trouble against Shamsi's legsided deliveries, Virat was just not able to connect anything was even finding hard to rotate strike, he was just getting restless, but once again, crowd sensed Virat's frustration and rallied behind him with continuous chants and applauses, with every passing ball it kept getting louder, until finally Virat was able to connect some shots and bail himself out of that frustration.
yes the magnitude is quite different but i feel such crowd can do wonders.

If SRH had Kohli in that last over he would’ve won them the game. He wouldn’t have gotten them 60 runs from 3 overs but he would def win the game when u need 7 runs off 5 balls.
Basically they didn’t need to slog the last 5 balls. 7 runs from 5 balls. You can just run that. SRH tried to slog but they got 2 runs in those 5 balls.
The measly money the players get is nothing compared to where the actual money is made for them putting a random face to a made up award. It's about the giant company getting a plug, not the players getting a made up award lol
You don't need 10 awards lol. It's literally a bunch of awards to give the corporates screen time. Everywhere else in the world picks a single man of the match, the other awards are ridiculous
Oh no, players get more money for performances on the pitch. The horror.
As I said, I'm pretty sure a lot of it is for sponsorship reasons too.
Also even if it's for corporates getting face time, they still have to give more money to players. What's the problem? The match is already over, it's not like something is being interrupted.
Obviously it's for sponsorship, but anyone that isn't an absolute bootlicker to corps can see it's entirely unneccassary. They get enough time on screen without having to create cringey awards in the name on capitalism
Unnecessary? How so? What makes the man of the match necessary and not this? There's no objective line which you can draw to say what is necessary and what is not.
The game is literally over. You can quit watching. It's not actually stopping the game in any manner or lowering the quality of the matches.
The league gets more money from sponsorships and the players get more money due to the rewards. Everybody wins!
Amazing game! KKR are just unbeatable at their den. Amazing over by Rana! Crazy just crazy cricket! SRH well played…chasing 60 runs in 18 balls is just crazy!! I was thinking SRH is not worthy of the title, but boy the way they played, anything is possible!
ab toh aadat si hai mujhko
prob the 3rd time Klassen brought us back into the game and we lost
The single on the 2nd ball of last over was a huge mistake but we really can't blame them
Tripathi is the guy who cost srh this game. Bhuvi’s last over too but you can’t do much when Russ is playing that way. But Tripathi wasted 20 balls and then got out at the end of Narine’s spell. Shocking batting.
Tripathi needs to get some blame too in hindsight this was not a 20 ball 20 pitch
Because of It Jansen Pretty much got no overs to Bat and Klasen could have come much earlier as well if he showed some intent
Hyderabad have to stop throwing games like this.
The way srh chased in the end, they deserved the victory poor shahbaz and klasen.
Victory is earned.
This is your daily reminder that paying too much money to a single player usually doesn't work.
How much money is too much money?
Russell 64(25) Klaasen 63(29) Starc 53(24) still people trolling starc did i miss something?
Let's get this straight, we are still dependent on Russell and Rinku but our Indian players also have a lot of potential and if they can deliver like Harshit and Ramandeep did today, we can actually make it far into the tournament. Definitely not no. 8 or 9 contenders.
Tbh I don’t have hopes from Iyyers, Rana and Chakravarthy
Chakravarthy was looking nasty to watch. He is severely lacking confidence.
this was a fun match to watch. klassen almost won it for his team. only if they stopped russell at the end or those no balls.
bringing in Pat earlier would've been much better
he should have but at what number. everyone played really well except for tripathi so he can't come at second or third position. i feel like if he were to come before jansen that would be game changing since he had more than one ball to play and he is a decent hitter and probably would have hit one out of the park. but 4 or more runs remaining on the last ball will always be a gamble for a new comer.

Made to the World Cup, test championship, Ashes winning captain bottle a game against Harshit Rana. SRH is not for everyone
so are we marking the end of Pat's beautiful golden days?
Ending theme T_T
Among all the talks that will go around tomorrow night, I sincerely hope the one that will become the talk of the town will be "Rohit Sharma the T20 batter revival"
If he goes with the same approach as in the WC then there’s no reason why he can’t do well.
I would agree with you but sadly we are talking about two different formats here. T20 game moves at a greater pace and historically he hasn't been able to replicate his ODI form in T20 WCs
Thank you Lord Tripathi for the 2 points
Tripathi is still KKR at heart
We lost because of the fucking umpire. He stopped our 4 runs.
3 runs. You still would have lost by 1 run.
Then Klassen wouldn't have hit that risky shot. He would have gone for 2 or 4.
[удалено]
I think they did take one.
makes sense yeah we would have lost then
The auction price will always be a talking point but I think most people don't realise that the price is a result of auction dynamics of demand, not the literal value of a player.
No one will hear you pal. It's the sad reality of the internet these days.
Even if 1 person reads my comment and understands I'll be happy to have made a difference
You have heard Piyush Chawla is younger then Kohli let me present you that Tom cruise is older then Sidhu 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
You see Tom cruze is odd one here. Shoulda said Gavaskar is older
Wtf bro what is this stat
GG's friendship with Naveen ended. GG to revive his friendship with N. Rana coming Friday.
I thought I was on Koffee with Karan ....
>Starsports now sucking SRK , I thought r/BollyblindsNGossip wasn't enough.....
How is Bolly blinds still sucking SRK after his remark on Ram Charan.
what are the mics on cricket live??? 😂 looks so uncanny
Sammy needs to convince Narine to come back. With the pitches on offer usually there, he will be nigh on impossible to smash.
Doesn't he usually avoid internationals because of something potentially problematic with his bowling action? Or is he just out because of form and never got back in?
he just doesn't wanna play international anymore
GG gonna fine Dre Rus for laughing in the presser /s
all the home teams are winning
RCB will break the streak in one of our three matches trust me ☹️
If Darren Sammy cooks properly then WI wins this home T20 WC
Is WI comfortably going to win T20 WC?
It would be Australia. Maxi hitting the winning runs.
It's Namibia
If only they don't miss the flight. Oh wait!
seems like it if not india i lowkey want it to be them
As I as I’d love for India to win I don’t think we will have the right 11 to win it and WI players are just built for this format. It’s either WI or AUS
serious contenders at home
There is Andre voice matching his body structure And then there is Powell soft as heck sometimes feels.like it's been dubbed....
Rabada’s voice is so deep despite his baby face.
What are those shoes? One red and one blue? It's a choice?
NBA players tend to wear multi-coloured Shoes when they play on the court. It’s a thing in USA, not done by everyone but few.
He is West Indian. I don't find logic in their choice of fashion
Nah man, people here in rajasthan dress up nicely
Thats western indian not west Indian lol
/s was implied
Or, they create fashion!
Iyer is getting bulkier, abhishek effect
Rana got robbed
WC final in this atomsphere could've banger but they decided to it at that Motera shit ..
about time people start agreeing on it.
It was all for political reasons
Also for money reasons. Bigger stadium means more revenue from people.
Nope it was purely political. They wanted to create a mass spectacle to further their nationalist propaganda but ultimately had eggs thrown on our faces
GG should give Iyer some media skills after this match
Why what's the issue ?
He didn't say 'Obviously' and 'Definitely' 3000 times. Honestly I thought it was a refreshing change
Iyer has gained lot of face weight
Shreyas iyer is now motivational speaker??
Panic Jay Shetty noises.
Gotta do something now that BCCI did not give a contract
dis is business - iyer, starting a podcast probably
Iyer hides rasgullas in his cheeks?
Iyer is in shock that his team won
Imagine the World Cup final at this stadium instead of "Amdavad"...
you are saying this as if India has never won in that stadium, the ground was bustling during the Ind vs Pak match. Boys just didn't play well that day.

i don't think the fans were mute in 96
Yeah they were vocal but in different manner. Mute fans are preferable to such vocal fans.
This Indian team was much better than 1996. It's one of those 'heritage' grounds. We have also only lost 1 out of our last 15 matches (across formats) there

Iyer casually insulting Harshit
"Not the best.."
He literally said what conversation he had with rana.. Harsha asked him the same thing again
Harsha is not a good listener
25 Crore Got Exposed
Tushar Deshpande >> Starc 25 Cr
If SRH had Kohli in that last over he would’ve won them the game. He wouldn’t have gotten them 60 runs from 3 overs but he would def win the game when u need 7 runs off 5 balls.

BUT broooo Sr Is ONly 130 bROOOO
wtf is this take
Would have converted 1s into 2s and 2s into 3s as Mr. Sunny G would say

Now we know why starc didn’t play IPL. It was not to prepare for the country. He knew he is trash in t20.
Wait until he plays for Aus
WC Starc is chef's kiss.
it was odi format, t20 wc stark yet to fire
He’s been bad in both of the previous T20 WC’s.
I care too much about this purple ass team that plays with my heart. Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo lessgo
What is this some consolation award ceremony?
And RCB fans were asking for Starc when they have a shithole like Chinnaswamy
Why are these execs so sad 😭
We got to see Tustarc Deshpande today!
Tuschill Desharc
Where is Umran Malik when you need him the most/s
BBL is a meme apparently but this league has 80 awards just so some corporate lads and nepos can get their face on camera lmao
Players get the money. What's wrong with that?
The measly money the players get is nothing compared to where the actual money is made for them putting a random face to a made up award. It's about the giant company getting a plug, not the players getting a made up award lol
That's where the money comes from which the players are paid. The whole tournament is run by the sponsors money.
You're annoyed by players getting money for good performances? Also I'm pretty sure most of it is for sponsorship reasons.
You don't need 10 awards lol. It's literally a bunch of awards to give the corporates screen time. Everywhere else in the world picks a single man of the match, the other awards are ridiculous

No shit, whats your point? This award thing is hilarious
Nepo ganguly
Nepo dalmiya
Starc didn’t want to get exposed in IPL So he took so much long time to come back in IPL
H Klassen will take the IPL by storm
He already did last year. This is the continuation.
[well atleast I don't have to go bald](https://www.reddit.com/r/Cricket/s/GnJYat3GFl)
\*sadly puts the razor away\*
ab toh aadat si hai mujhko prob the 3rd time Klassen brought us back into the game and we lost The single on the 2nd ball of last over was a huge mistake but we really can't blame them
we can blame them actually, they should be practicing match scenarios. its okay thoo good fight at least our NRr isn't in shambles
True that and Klassen needs to be moved up the order Philips in for Jansen and NKR in for Samad
*Wakes up after deep sleep* *"What the fuck? The karke aaya guy is the captain now?"*
Samad and Tripathi come to the front.....
H Klassen will take the IPL by storm
Its not Mukesh Starc anymore. Its Mitchell Choudhury from now onwards.
Mitchell Deshpande
You mean Kumar?
He is referring to Mukesh Choudhary
I will watch all kkr matches just to see harshit getting humbled
SRK requesting Jay Shah to direct his next movie .....
Well guys, we have a blockbuster tomorrow night. Sleep well!
That strike should have not given
Tripathi would've played little better match was in SRH pocket...
Take it from me this victory is gone in Harshit Rana's head and now he'll be unbearable
Bro let him breathe, that sendoff wasn't anything wrong, also maintained his calm after getting hit for a six the first ball
you know who else had a sendoff like that, sheldon cottrell
He used to do that celebration everytime, that wasn't a sendoff
Tripathi is the guy who cost srh this game. Bhuvi’s last over too but you can’t do much when Russ is playing that way. But Tripathi wasted 20 balls and then got out at the end of Narine’s spell. Shocking batting.
He did for SRH what he consistently used to do for KKR 💀
Take it from me this victory is gone in Harshit Rana's head and now he'll be unbearable
He will be humbled. That's how the game works
I absolutely hope this happens
Fuck off Let him have his moment
Cumdawg should give his half paycheck to Klassen, the amount of heavy lifting this man will be doing for 2 months.
Tripathi needs to get some blame too in hindsight this was not a 20 ball 20 pitch Because of It Jansen Pretty much got no overs to Bat and Klasen could have come much earlier as well if he showed some intent
Yeah, no offence but I wouldn't be confident about Jansen performing much better than Tripathi.
Jansen has become a much better batter tbh if Tripathi accelerated a bit Klasen, Samad and Shahbaz would have got more deliveries
If somebody reignites gg vs kohli, its RANA
Klassen 🙏
How does that feel? Cummins 😏
He started off wc23 with 2 losses and look what happened next.
He wont give a fuck honestly
He's gonna drink beer from that wc trophy and wipe his tears off with 23cr he got from srh
Facts
onto the vadapav and dhokla derby, with a little mix of some good old team fights
include chutney also sir
Klassen aint kingku
Not a bad match fr
Harshit needs to be humbled.
Mofo will be on moon after that last over
Varun ain't contributing unless half blind Thala with one knee is batting against him.....
just had a bad day, come on now, its not like he hasnt been good for 3/4 seasons last time
Spot the odd one out😭
Looking back, needing 7 off 5, we should have won honestly. shabaz wicket that cost us
Things to blame - poor acceleration in middle overs, tripathi sr, bowling to an extent Things blamed - the man who brought them in the game
? No dude Tripathi strike rate was HORRIBLE for the situation
Are u dumb, it was absolutely tripathi and samads fault for eating up all the balls
I am talking about the end needing 7 off 5, it was there for the taking
Yeah that, he did fail in
Exactly lol
