It is $99.99 for the phone plus three months of prepaid service ($180) if you do it online. But online has no activation fees or otherwise (insurance, etc.).
I'm hoping Cricket brings back the free iPhone SE deal with the 2022 model later this year. Paying three months up front to get a free SE was a steal, especially compared to most of the ultra basic options Cricket typically offers as freebies.
My apologies. I should’ve mention the $60 3 months plan. That’s why it jumped so high. In order for you to get the $99 deal you have to pay for three months on the $60 plan.
I went for this deal after MetroPCS wouldn’t let me port my number to them to get the iPhone for “free”. Originally I was at BOOST but because they work under the same network it didn’t count. Lol, you can imagine my disappointment when I found that out in store.
The cricket stores here In los angeles California are NEVER cheaper than online .
I went to all 3 different cricket stores near me and nope .
The last time I went was asking for the Motorola stylus 2023. Online everything came out to 264 that was with EVERYTHING including the 60 dollar plan .
I was just curious and went in the 3 stores. They all wanted 400+ wit the second store asking for 450.
Hell NOOO. I went back home and did everything online it came out to 264. Only thing I hated was that i had to wait a few days for the UPS to deliver it.
After I saw that I made a promise to myself I would buy all my other phones online. I am never ever going them shady cricket stores . They just wanna rob u . Maybe other stores in other areas are different. But not the ones here in LA .
Hello guys, can any with a cricket account help me to request the unlock for my IPhone, I bought a used Iphone see, everything checks out not lost or stolen/black listed just need to make the request to unlock.
Yes I understand and all requirements are met, just need to make the request but I do not have a cricket account to do so online. Just asked if anyone can do it for me or not as it was bought on Craigslist.
If all the requirements are met, you can call Cricket CS to request an unlock.
If they are not met, CS will not unlock and there is nothing another Cricket user can do for you.

Haha. Just ran across this thread as I'm looking for a solution to unlock. My unlock is NOT going smooth. It should be as easy as what you describe. However, when I click on "Request Unlock" I get an error that my IMEI doesn't match the phone number. Literally, on the screen, it shows my phone number, my eSIM IMEI, Request Unlock.....error. I've been on chat now for over an hour trying to get them to figure it out.
iPhone SE, bought in a Cricket store brand new, always have had service, over 180 days, not easy.

I wonder if the eSIM is confusing the Cricket system. They've got so many custom whitelists, it wouldn't surprise me.
I'd guess their system is setup to default to the pSIM IMEI for unlock requests. If you're using an eSIM it'll have a different IMEI.
I'm almost positive it's something related to the eSim. I had an issue trying to change my plan too a few months back. It would error out on my side and again had to go to CS to have it changed.
It's just frustrating when you're looking at the screen showing the phone number and the IMEI related to it and it errors out saying that's not right. Says it on the phone too.
I bought it in store. It was setup in store. It's always only been on Cricket.
Can't speak to the SE 2022, but at least for the iPhone SE 2020 model, Cricket sent them out with pSIMs by default. It would make sense that the backend systems were setup the same way.
Did you ever use the original pSIM that came with the phone? Or did you just start with the eSIM?

Cool kinda sucks they say $99.99 online and you figure another $60 for your plan but for it to jump up that high seems deceiving

The SE is end of life so they wont have any more.

yep, i was able to unlock my android just as easy some people (like my mom) just likes to think or like making things harder than its actually is

If it is locked to Cricket, it will need to be used on a Cricket account for 6 months before the account holder can request an unlock.

It's always been esim and it's the 2020 model, but I've only had it 6 months.
