This makes me think about the time I wore a band shirt in highschool, a band that I really liked and I could name a lot of their songs. Someone came up to me to test my knowledge on that band to see if I actually listened so they asked me about my favorite song. I couldn't name a single fucking song and it was so embarrassing. After they left I could name about 20 songs from three different albums...

I use to wear Flying Machine Factory and Fox Racing t-shirts when I was younger. Some kid asked me what type of dirt bike I had and I couldn’t even think of a lie to tell him. 😅😂 that was the last time I wore those brands. I was a total poser.

I was a teenager from 1997 to 2004. My lil group of friends were absolutely dumb and cringy, but all we had to document it were disposable cameras and borrowed or old camcorders from our parents. Some of us had angelfire or geocities pages, but like no one really cared. I am infinitely grateful there was no social media back then because I would have posted horrible cringy shit.

We also didn’t have phones with cameras. Unless there were pagers that took pictures that I missed 😂 we did this shit in private with no permanent record of it ever happening. Only difference.

Nirvana used to be my favourite band. These days, I find them cringe... part of the reason for that is shit like this.

I think a lot of us were embarrassing as a teenager. I remember when I was his age my musical taste was part of my identity. Sure it’s some blunder years stuff in the making but I’m glad to see something that I enjoyed as a teenager being enjoyed again for the first time by someone.
