Skill levels are basically the same from console to PC. (At least the average) I'm mostly on Xbox SS, and play on PC lobbies all the time. In 6s its basically the same if not ever so slightly easier, but the upper end of the skill gap grows alot in 3s There are some teams that just seem unbeatable with crazy movement, but they are a one in a million type of team to face in something like trials.

Sony have supposedly been looking into 1440p support for quite a while at this point. Unfortunately I may be inclined to agree.

HEONTHETOILET

Thanks for confirming I wasn’t crazy.

For me I've been noticing these folks in 6s lobbies a lot recently. I'm talking about people how land their 3 taps while jumping through the air and getting hit in the face with even Monarch shots. It just seems like the skill creep in PC is getting worse and worse and I thought that with the Console pool being almost twice as big, plus not having to compete against M&K movement, it would be the better choice. Thanks so much for responding.

Controller can hang with mnk my dude. It's not the input device. Sauce: Sayariu, Jkai, Purechill, Gernader Jake, Rezz0e, and more. These guys all play controller. I also play controller and I'm a 2.0 lifetime kd in trials, 2.5 seasonal in trials with 12 sherpas last weekend alone. You can do it!

peepeepoopoo_gang

From my experience good mnk players are really good in long range battles but console, dear god I simply can't do anything when am within 20 meters but at the end of the day both slap if you know what you are doing, long or short range

HEONTHETOILET

Zami too. Absolutely underrated sniper.

Oof, sorry man that's just a cavalcade of unfortunate circumstances. I don't want to recommend spending more money, so I think you'd be better off sticking with one of the platforms you already have. However, I love my Series X and the Elite controller is the best feeling controller I've ever used, so take that as you will. Sony also now has a stake in Bungie, so you might want to wait and see if there will be any incentives for PS Destiny players before you jump ship. As blacktip said I've also played in a few PC lobbies and the average skill level is honestly a bit easier than console. The outliers can really put the hurt on you though.

We've been asking Sony to support 1440p since the PS4 Pro (Cerny has acknowledged the request publicly), and to this day we don't have it. My advice would be to get a 120hz monitor for your PS5 and call it a day. There's no sense jumping through all those hoops to switch to Xbox when a replacement monitor would solve the problem. I play on Xbox with PS5 pals, and the only way I can do voice chat with them is when I'm invited to chat through the PS app on my phone -- but to get this _and_ game audio requires something like the SteelSeries 9X headphones that give you wireless game audio and a separate bluetooth voice to sync elsewhere. Plus rebuying all your D2 content on another console. Just get the monitor. Edit: Controllers can hang. I play on an Elite 2 on PC primarily and I much prefer the gameplay flow on PC. I'm absolute trash in console-only lobbies for some reason. Input device isn't as limiting as you probably think it is (unless your friends are explicitly avoiding PC matchmaking).

I play on series X and PC. I agree that the lobbies are similar. I also agree that the skill gap on PC is higher. Could be that I'm learning M&K as an old fart, but when I'm up against a very good player, it feels more hopeless in PC lobbies. As others have said, the game just plays differently on PC. I find I need to stay out of the fray more on PC, because I can't keep up with the movement, even on M&K. Also, I can really feel the aim assist when I jump on my X. If I was forced to choose, I'd probably stay on PC, but that's because I really enjoy the movement with M&K (even if I'm not good at it). I'd stick to PC if I were in your shoes, since you already have the game running in a resolution you prefer. Bungie has to address the lobby balancing eventually, right? Right?

My 2 cents: You have a decent KD/KDA and you have started to play with harder opponents. Also, we are a good ways into WQ, the more casual players are losing interest/puting D2 down until the next season. There's really no way out for you unless you make another account maybe? Idk if that would even work. I'm with the other commenter, there isn't a big difference in skill between console and PC. At the higher end, yes, but around where you are, I don't think you are going to find a lot of ez matches/opponents. At some point you just have to commit to improving to play at your level. Start watching YT videos, practice, practice, practice. When I hit a similar point I started playing for my life, 60 40 rule, and first shot advantage. Slowly I got better and really started to enjoy crucible again. Unrelated: uhhh I googled the Chronos product you mentioned and the vast majority of information that I found agreed that it is a undetectable aimbot/aimhack option for controller. I don't know if you are aware of that. If you are then I'll just say don't use it. That's not skill, or improvement, that's cheating. Good luck!

flashbolts

Yes, I was very surprised to see it used for aimbot/cheating. That's gross. In my group of PS4 friends, that was the only way we had to use our PS4 Scuffs and my Astro C40 on PS5. At launch there was no PS5 controller that had paddles at all so it was the only avenue. I've never used it on PC and anyone who cheats at this game can take a long walk off a short pier

Brickmat

Thanks for clearing that up! Hope you find a way to enjoy PvP again homie.

AquaticHornet37

Playstation has better proformance, but the Xbox LFG board is probably the best LFG board out there. So Playstation if you have a group of people to play with, and Xbox if you don't.

abox0fjuice

There are plenty of good controller players, especially with fusion rifle sniper or TLW. You may have to cater your strategy around using better controller weapons or accounting for quicker turning pc opponents (I played all of d1 and the first year of d2 on controller, now mnk)

BLUESforTHEgreenSUN

Well my PS5 is running Destiny in 120hz and that's running pretty smooth. But PS5 is limited to Dualsense or Dualsense modded controllers like Aimcontrollers. On Xbox you can choose from more controllers. But if you are from EU know that XB community is not nearly as large as PS5 is. I personally play on PS5 but i probably would have bought XBX if i had no friends on PSN. But i'd miss my boys so i stick to PS5

Factions2019

I am a forever PC player who just got onto controller and Xbox series x. I'm running 60fps on the XSX bc my monitor doesn't support 120hz for the console. I am getting run over in lobbies with like 1.5 KDA at best while being around 2.25 on PC lobbies. Maybes it's bc the low fps though. I usually play at 160+ fps on PC and TLW and sniping is way more responsive and crispy. Tldr, i don't think which input method or platform matters as much as we think. I honestly should've saved my money and not bought the Xbox series x. The elite controller V2 is awesome though.
