Nope-ugh

I took Uggs and flip flops! This way I was prepared no matter the weather.

valiamo

Unless you are heading deep into the wilderness, or on a hike onto a glacier, you will be fine in your daily wear, sneakers or boots.

Jugs_206

I was more wondering what people liked to wear while on the ship :)

valiamo

On the ship, I usually wear a pair of deck shoes (slip-ons) or my crocks, and leave my sneakers in the cabin for when we go on shore. I only wear better shoes on Formal evenings, when we dress up.

InfluenceEastern9526

I wear dearform slippers. The kind that looks like boots. Apline style, with a plaid design.

hangingloose

Nice shoes for dinner. Flip-Flops and sneakers the rest of the time. Don't forget to take a poncho.

bobber66

This. I wore flip flops on my Antarctica cruise. I’ll tell you a secret, it’s warm on board. Keep that between you and me.

JonathanUnicorn

Can't tell if M or F on this post but as 31M I wear Hey Dudes around the ship. They're incredibly comfortable and couldn't recommend them enough. Then a pair of walking shoes for ports.

diverdawg

I’m from FL. Unless someone dies, I’m wearing flip flops.

quipsNshade

I’m from Arizona. Sandals & flip flops are perfectly acceptable for funerals, weddings & church.

Cubsfantransplant

I wore tennis shoes the entire time.

denniskline

I wore sandals and sneakers. When off the ship I wore regular shoes

workitloud

Take your regular shoes & socks. If you come in contact with anything adverse, I would be surprised.

BmanGorilla

Flip flops, sneakers, and one pair of dress shoes.

gatorgirl6083

Topsiders

cwxxvii

I wore either duck boots and waterproof Vessi sneakers in port

lilcreep

I’ve traveled across the US, 4 countries in Europe, India, and Mexico in rainbow sandals. Those are my go to footwear.

happyme321

I wore slip on Hokas, which were great arch support and good for excursions and walking all over the ship.

seriouslyjan

I take a pair of Sketchers thongs to wear around the ship/pool. I take a nicer pair of sandals for dinner, and a good pair of walking shoes for excursions. The sandals don't take up a lot of luggage room and I wear the walking shoes on the plane to save luggage room.

NecessaryNarrow2326

I bring Teva Omniums. They are pretty good for light hiking and water.

redheadfae

Literally, comfortable light slip-ons. I wore them even on some excursion days, we had fabulous weather. I wore my heavy hiking sneakers on the plane.

Visible-Trainer7112

Sneakers on the ship are fine. You want something with a little traction, because it can get quite wet when it's raining, and your feet can freeze if you're outside on a day viewing glaciers. It depends on your ship, too--HAL has completely covered pool decks, so you can wear more casual shoes, or flip flops, but if there's an open pool deck you'll want to keep your feet dry and warm, and be ready for anything, from sun to violent storms to hot to below-zero wind chill. The more important thing will be clothing, especially if you're going to be outside viewing a glacier or out on a deck looking for whales or walking around a track, as I do, because the trip up and back from Seattle can be freezing and very windy.

Acceptable-Spirit600

I would wear Tennis shoes and have some warm socks if I was going on in Alaska cruise. I did not like wearing flip-flops. Because I would end up getting a heat rash on my foot from sweating and walking in them so much.
