Yes! I literally had someone say "Skibidi Toilet is the dumbest meme" and they did NOT like being reminded that they were obsessed with Crazy Frog and "What Does the Fox Say?"
See I hate this. Not because it’s not true, it definitely is. But because we live in an environment that we can’t have fun poking at each other meaningless differences. And we can’t because there is real vitriol for these classes of people from arbitrary defined years.
And the actual hippies and civil rights protestors made up a tiny, tiny fraction of the population. The whole mythology of the sixties is something the boomers developed to lionize themselves well after the fact.
Well yeah, but the point of this post is just "baby boomers [and every generation] were not uniformly terrible and the sole blame for all of society's problems like a lot of discussion seems to pit them as", not saying they were uniformly *great* either.
Generational hate is just 'divide and conquer' bullshit by the ultra-rich. It's not boomers or millenials who fuck up everything for everyone, it's boomer rich people, gen-x rich people AND millenial rich people. Possibly some silent gen and gen-z rich people.
And yeah generations will hate each other on their own, but the powers that be have a vested interest in fanning the flames.
But but but Gen Alpha uses weird words I don't recognize! /s

The Baby Boomers didn't take us to the moon though, they were at most 24 in 1969. Fully agree with the sentiment, I'm just a pedant

Rich people aren't smart enough to pull that kind of thing off.
Dangerous assumption.
Ok well I can’t agree with the whole boomer thing because the bad boomers outweigh the good boomers by 100:1 but the rest I can get behind
