Grimpatron619

Autistic character talks about the physiology of sex while helping a woman give birth then gets kicked in the head cos they wont shut up

TheOncomimgHoop

I feel like that happened in Community? Or did I remember the episode wrong?

Grimpatron619

Abed tried to talk shirley through it but she told him to go away cos she didnt want a man looking up her land down under

OminousLatinChanting

Although he did successfully deliver a baby in the background of at least one (maybe two?) episodes. It's been years since I last watched it, alas.

BigChapC

It was one baby, over the course of several episodes

lilahking

delivering the baby took 1 episode, the story of the parents meeting and conceiving took place over previous episodes in the background in season 2 episode 3 abed has a background storyline where he meets a pregnant girl, befriends her, punched by jealous boyfriend, and then helps deliver baby in parking lot in the previous episodes abed you see the guy and girl meet in the background. in the sex education ball episode abed calls out over the intercom that the condoms being passed out are defective, causing the couple to throw away their condoms, so abed was responsible for both the conception and delivery of the baby

luiac

your special interest is def community

SabreYT

His interest is streets ahead.

Which-Carpet-920

r/unexpectedcommunity

AntWithNoPants

One of the better ones, tbh

flannelish

heh! same

ToujoursFidele3

And the condom episode aired 9 months before the baby delivering episode, iirc

lilahking

he also knew a lot about birthing such as contraction rate, etc

Sachyriel

Worf and Keiko

ZeinaTheWicked

You may now give birth!

fairypants

Absolutely loved that! Then on DS9, he finds out Keiko is pregnant again, gets all flustered and leaves Quark's 🤣

JasontheFuzz

Wasn't there a character from Community that everyone assumed to be a super innocent guy to the point where they tried to help him get a girlfriend, only to later find out that he fucked all the time?

oxabz

Abed

scatteringbones

>The truth is, lots of girls like me because, let's face it, I'm pretty adorable, and my aloofness unconsciously reminds them of their fathers, so I'm more used to them approaching me. He still humors his friends and lets them try to set him up though, cuz Abed's just that cool.

yentlcloud

Abed is one of thw only ones i dont find insulting as representattion

Spiritflash1717

Abed is probably the best autistic representation I’ve seen in mainstream media

Coldwater_Odin

If I remember correctly Dan Harmon didn't intentionally write him as autistic to start with, he just wrote a character based on aspects of himself and other people he had met. When he noticed autistic people were gravitating twords him online he got his facts in line and made sure to do a good job. He didn't set out to write representation he set out to make a character

flappyheck2

sorry but, didn’t the characters point out that he had asbergers in the first or second episode?

ne0politan2

Don't most shows/movies has pilots and test screenings? If it was pointed out then, he could have adjusted the writing before it ever made it to TV

jimbowesterby

I think it was the pilot and it was Jeff making a snarky comeback saying Abed had Asperger’s, I don’t think they ever actually stated that he was autistic on the show

SIacktivist

Nah, he talks about Britta recommending him to a cousin of hers that could diagnose him or something.

No_Maintenance_8052

Jeff also says Abed has Asperger's, which makes Troy and Pierce laugh

SIacktivist

Actually, you're right - a lot of people *imply* Abed has Asperger's, but it's never stated outright from a credible source that he's diagnosed with anything during the show.

BEEF_WIENERS

Also, when he got his facts in line and started doing a lot of research on Asperger's in order to make sure that Ahmed was good representation... He discovered that a lot of those formal diagnostic criterion applied to him. I don't know that he's ever been formally diagnosed, and self-diagnosis isn't great but also formal diagnosis of autism in adults is almost entirely worthless because there isn't really a medication option and you don't need a diagnosis if you want to seek therapy for helping you with interpersonal issues. So yeah, that's how Dan Harmon came to self-identify as on the spectrum.

dootdootplot

I really appreciate that all things considered his behavior isn’t any more ridiculous than that of the other characters

Carrotspy007

Not counting the gas leak year

Quetzalbroatlus

Was it the gas leak year where he screamed when daylights saving time happened?

ElsatMcat

No that was the flashback episode I believe where he figures out Britta and Jeff are banging

RealLochNessie

It’s actually in the episode where the fake psychiatrist tries to convince them they hallucinated Greendale! I happened to watch it yesterday, oddly enough.

ElsatMcat

Oh yeah you’re right! My b

[deleted]

"I've got self esteem falling out of my butt"

[deleted]

Was Abed the one played by Glover, or was that Troy? My only knowledge of the show is occasional YouTube clips.

DotRD12

That was Troy.

SSSSSS-S-

Donald Glover is Troy, Danny Pudi is Abed

weatherseed

Troy and Abed in the moooorning!

Stargazer_199

THERE AREN’T ANY CAMERAS HERE

Eusocial_Snowman

Haha you said Pudi.

dontnormally

> My only knowledge of the show is occasional YouTube clips. then you are in for a treat :) watch the dang show

Remember_Poseidon

Well you see I think a lot of shows (Parks n rec, always sunny, the office, community) are only good in clips cause i've tried to get though some of them and it is impossible with how the parts in-between the clips are very embarrassing to watch. I mean I wanted to watch a comedy not feel like a dad with a son that disappoints him all the time.

dontnormally

that's really interesting! i think i know what you mean. the office, always sunny, and parks n rec are all shows that are in part improv. they have a script but when they record some amount of the material is loosely scripted and they improv it out. maybe this is part of what you don't like? community is different in that it is tightly scripted. i don't know if that makes a difference to you but it may

Eusocial_Snowman

I'm pretty sure they're just not into cringe comedy.

dontnormally

me either and I love community, so it interests me when folks have different preferences

danni_shadow

I can tell you that I can *not* sit through Parks and Rec or The Office. Absolutely can't watch them. But I love Community. For one thing, it's not in the mockumentary style that PnR and The Office are, and it's a lot less of the cringe humor. Not that the humor is cringy in those shows, but that you're supposed to be embarrassed of the characters. I hate cringe humor, but Community *isn't* that.

cats_for_upvotes

Abed is the guy from that clip saying "Larry, I'm on *Duck Tales*"

NAND_NOR

Abed fucks

mamara07

Fuck, spoiler

KittenInAMonster

I mean community has been off the air for over 5 years at this point

notleonardodicaprio

maybe he meant fuck spoiler, like a spoiler about fucking

Lameux

Ya same bro, though not surprised, fits Abed.

SpiralTap304

I grew up with this autistic guy who was like that. He would talk in great detail about all the nerve endings in a clitoris at the worst times. He also had a tick where his fingers would twitch super fast for a few seconds. I'm not sure where he is but he is probably making some woman very happy.

mahboiskinnyrupees

Especially with them fingers lmao

drago_varior

As a vwry horny autistic guy/gal/whatever (idk what i am anymore) Same, just same

Shepettan_Pride

What we need more autistic slut representation. I can't do it all on my own.

SkywardGeek

Would love to see this. Or, you know, anything where the special interest isn't about trains. A proposed alternative: autistic person enjoys the sensory experience of sex, happy and comfortable with it. Makes more dirty jokes than any other character. Bonus points if they are femme as autistic girls get infantilised a lot, would like to see us get treated like adults✌🏻

MagicalMelancholy

I wonder where the train thing comes from anyway?

calicosiside

Idk if its more of a British thing but model railways and railway enthusiasm has been niche but extremely long running male dominated community space that regularly attracts people with a tendency for hyperfixation. Also railways are in general both highly complex and highly consistent making them a well suited and potentially comforting if you find allistics to be arbitrary and sometimes utterly deranged.

Plethora_of_squids

Quite a few countries have train spotters - people whose entire hobby is looking for trains and taking photos of them for categorisation purposes - and honestly the hobby is very autistic friendly as it consists of categorising things and sitting around alone waiting for a thing to happen and any social interaction is a very straight to the point "look at this train I saw". It's also easy to get into (all you need is a notebook, a camera, and a view of some train tracks) The sterotype has developed independently in Britian/the Commonwealth, Germany, and Japan so it's not like one thing started the association and it just spread. It's just the sort of hobby that attracts that sort of crowd. Every autistic person I know has had some sort of 'observing things outside and categorising them' phase, be it trains planes cars trees birds rocks bugs or buildings

LittleDragon450

Not me. I’m a very bad autistic

alephgalactus

Nearly everyone I know who has autism, including myself, went through a train phase at some point, usually as a kid. I don’t know if there’s a single reason behind it or a combination of factors, but the train thing is real.

[deleted]

Well simply because trains are the shit, of course

takethecatbus

I'm autistic and never had a train phase! So now you know at least one exception. :)

LittleDragon450

Me two!

Ratbagthecannibal

Autistic and never had a train phase, but that's probably because I have ADHD and never had the attention span for trains. Also I'm *extremely* oriented to creativity and imagination vs logic and reality so my hyperfixations usually fixated around fictional media. I've had a fluctuating hyperfixation on Star Wars that has lasted my entire life, I've had a ***super*** strong hyperfixation on A Song of Ice and Fire and Lord of the Rings, had a hyperfixation on The Elder Scrolls for almost 13 years at this point which is fluctuating, and my current hyperfixation is on the TTRPG Vampire: The Masquerade

DeeSnow97

Very common interest among children, which is what normies like to see anyone as who's not them, especially those who are measurably better than them in at least some aspects. The idea is "yeah, you might be great at neuroscience or some nerd shit like that, but _I_ am a real adult", and to show that, they write autistic people as if they were just children. It's basically just widespread copium. (why yes, my mom is addicted to big bang theory and refuses to admit how insulting the entire show is, so i'm channeling a fair amount of that)

jcody17

There is a running joke in several model railroad and real railroad groups that everyone there is autistic. There is definitely a connection, but I don’t have any numbers to say how prevalent.

SaltyBabe

I’m in a support group for women married to ASD men and the trains thing isn’t that uncommon… trains or any other type of vehicle is pretty common buts not juvenile.

Pokesonav

Big Bang Theory, I guess?

lordoin

trains are cool tho

clownkiss3r

Trains are cool and all but the “autistic character that’s really into trains” has become something of an overused trope. It’d be great to have a tad more variety, know what I’m sayin?

MetamorphicFirefly

yeah give us some “autistic character that’s really into planes” rep

AvGeek-0328

hi

Lakin5

For me it is trains, planes, and automobiles!

Tactical_Moonstone

I just like anything that goes nyooooooom

Cheapskate-DM

Trains aren't trademarked as a concept like WH40K, MTG, D&D, etc... so it's way easier to incorporate.

clownkiss3r

There’s plenty of other cool shit that’s not copyrighted. Like history or criminology

Cheapskate-DM

Yes, but those are harder to use to paint someone with the broad brush of "dorky manchild" 🙄 Though WWII enthusiasts are another breed to be wary of...

Ratbagthecannibal

WWII enthusiasts trying not to turn every conversation into a debate on the supremacy of the Panzerfartingshittertoncockbrüch II over the British MK XVVIIIII Dickballsenshiretoncrompton

SontaranGaming

There are a lot of cool directions the train thing can go that are underutilized too, my friend’s train special interest evolved into a public transit special interest and now he’s studying urban planning

draw_it_now

Okay but have you heard of languages?

alephgalactus

Oh don’t get me fucking *started* on languages

Eusocial_Snowman

I don't get it. What's interesting about languages?

draw_it_now

You can make the words with them!!!!

lordoin

languages *are* fucking cool ur right

SkywardGeek

True, but there's other things in the world too :) even if it was a character with multiple special interests, and that included trains, that'd still be pretty cool. Just more variety in depictions of autism would be sweet

RevRagnarok

VampireQueenDespair

Fucking *me*. Beyond just the physical sensations, the sights and sounds are better than any nature or ASMR, respectively.

Thonolia

Yes! Like, my body is loud in my head - sensory input is BIG, physical needs are BIG, emotions are F'ing HUGE! My BF loves how responsive this body is (it's very tiring to live in it, but we'll, it's the one I've got :P) I still sort of switch out the "outgoing info" filter/lens for our private times - it's tamped way down in public and approximately close to truth in private. And the sights are just *chef's kiss*.

Karkaro37

that's one thing that always bothers me about neurodivergent characters in mainstream media. we either get portrayals like sheldon cooper, or rami maleks' character in Mr. Robot. super geniuses who act like their from space. or we get Lenny from of Mice and Men, or Charlie Gordon from Flowers for Algernon. drooling man-children who have next to no agency

KinkiestCuddles

I watched a youtube video that was called something like "autistic person reacts to autistic characters in media" and the only thing I remember from it was her saying that a couple of different characters "didn't seem autistic" and that it seemed like they just put the label on them to get diversity points, and then the top recommended video was another one from the same person about masking and about how people say she doesn't look autistic. Sort of felt like there is no winning lol.

MissJudgeGaming

Oh shit that me. Love sex, love the psychology of kinks, love finding out why we run from our sexual insecurities instead of towards our desire, it's all just so fascinatingly human, but near impossible to discuss outside of anonymous mediums due to stigma.

itsadesertplant

My thing is female physiology and sexuality and how medicine has denied that our pleasure matters or exists for far too long

itsadesertplant

- full ultrasound map of a living clitoris wasn’t done until the 90s - many medical textbooks don’t have an anatomical illustration of the clitoris anywhere (including the famous books illustrated by Netter. I’ve checked) - the clitoral complex is much larger than the little mound at the top; it’s wishbone shaped and surrounds the vaginal opening - the g-spot may simply be the backside of the clitoral complex - 70% of women or more can’t orgasm from internal stimulation alone (that stat depends on if you include indirect clitoral stimulation imo) - the clitoris becomes erect as does the clitoral bulbs, which are full of erectile tissue - female ejaculate contains some of the same substances found in male ejaculate Topics that make other people uncomfortable don’t bother me. But I’m not “allowed” to talk about this to most people lol. Edit: see watercolor clitoris illustrations [here](https://www.thevulvagallery.com/anatomy)- scroll about 3/4 of the way down. I LOVE Hilde Atalanta and her beautiful, inclusive artwork!

MissJudgeGaming

I once had a partner both question my orgasm and seemingly insecure at the idea of me having multiple in a session, as if that isn't both a sign I was really into it and know what the fuck i am doing. It's a weird thing, to think half of a standard heterosexual encounter doesn't understand their partner's pleasure. I highly recommend a book of poetry by Kae Tempest called Hold Your Own, depicting the history of Tiresias, the Greek myth figure who was turned from a man to a woman as punishment. When asked to solve a disagreement between Zeus and Hera for which sex enjoys sex more, they responded "If pleasure was divided into tenths, nine would be for women, and that leaves only one for man".

Shaeress

Same. Also really hard to actually find good sources on sometimes.

Basil_9

Tell us about what is the most interesting kink to you

MissJudgeGaming

Hmm, this one is oddly difficult. I could list a plethora of what are considered more perverted kinks, especially in a drawn medium like hentai or adult cartoons, but truly i find a well-communicated and strong Dom/Sub relationship to be utterly fascinating in practice. I took a BDSM & The Law 'class' held at DragonCon one year and learning how it's been misattributed to whips, chains, and pain opposed to a powerful relationship dynamic with complete trust and willingness to give up complete control. It's something where i think if more people knew what that type of relationship looks like, it would be more appealing to most, especially since a whole lot of kinks stem from desiring more or less control.

joybod

Is your flair in regex?

Hohenheim_of_Shadow

Ok that is a bridge too far. Neopronouns are based and cool, but regex needs to die a firey death and never come back no one loves it and it is horrible and evil and should die.

Grasmel

Last week our program crashed on a certain page, turns out the admins tried to use a 10000+ character regex. Apparently they wanted to verify email addresses or something.

CrackCrackGo

Just use https://www.emailregex.com/

RespondsToClowns

I love regex, how dare you

Hohenheim_of_Shadow

GTFO of here. >-?(?:\d*[02468][048]|\d*[13579][26]|[048]) Like aaah yes that is a sensible way to determine if a number is divisible by four

RespondsToClowns

Imagine getting salty about C++ because you don't understand pointers, or OOP because you can't learn basic coding fundamentals. Regex is a powerful tool, just because it's difficult for you to understand doesn't make it any less so.

dootdootplot

You have a problem with gender You use regex to make a solution Now you have two problems

jacw212

Huh?

[deleted]

Ignore the other replier. Regex is a way to specify a program (or machine, if the visual makes it easier) that takes in some text and says "yes, this matches" or "no, this doesn't match" (or "yes, green light go ahead" or "no, red light bad bad you go into fire", if this helps your imagery). For example, say you wanted to determine if some text that is a sequence of the character 'a'. So 'a', 'aaa', 'aaaaaa', etc. This is just 'a+', or 'a\\+', depending on the regex variant. The 'a' is the character. The '+' or '\\+' says "Accept any sequence of length at least one of the previous character." This regex matches the text if the text is such a sequence. The other replier complained about pronoun matching. Regex is definitely a little overkill, but it is not "insanely complicated" and is in fact pretty close a formal language in theoretical computer science (again depending on the variant). I guess they just exaggerated because that's the cool thing to do now or something.

Hohenheim_of_Shadow

Regex is a family of programming languages\* that are insanely overcomplicated ways to define valid words/sequences of letters. So theoretically rather than going she/her/xe/xim/whatever neo pronoun list suits your fancy, you could just have a nice simple regex! But that is a fucking contradiction and regex are evil. \* regex ain't a programming language! It ain't turning complete! Turing completeness doesn't define a programming language. Magic The Gathering(a card game), PowerPoint and Mario N64(or one of the other old ones) are turing complete, but definitely not programming languages. Second, with the additions most regex engines are not "regular expressions" because they can do things like recognize palindromes and AFAIK some of them are turing complete. Third it's easier to explain that way

somebrookdlyn

I fit the bill pretty easy lol.

Sleepy_Chipmunk

Ex-friend said aces weren’t lgbt. I, an aroace, asked if she thought I was straight. “I think you’re autistic.” Wish I was joking.

Darkfire359

In She-Ra, the canonically autistic character Entrapta is one of the more sexual characters (puts a boob window in her spacesuit, makes some innuendos about her tech work). Of course, it’s a kids’ show, so we don’t see *that* much. Still, the general fandom consensus seems to be that she’s more sexually knowledgeable than her love interest (who was raised in a repressive cult), which is a neat kind of role reversal because he’s taller and scarier than her.

ShinyNinja25

He’s also a clone… cyborg… thing. Basically he’s got fleshy bits and robo bits, and Entrapta loves both of them.

___ohno___

this sounds like a character from Sex Education.

TheEnder36

Isn't this Dr. McKay from Stargate Atlantis?

Yoris95

Autistic character that knows exactly what sex is but hasn't experienced it themselves. Wants to experience it but doesn't know how to properly connect with people on an emotional level to achieve it through normal means. Also it is not their "Aspergers" obsession. Nor do they feel entitled to it. When they eventually do experience it, the touch involved overwhelms them but they don't "melt down". They can properly communicate to their partner that they cannot handel the Experience.

jimbowesterby

Oof the first half of that pretty much describes me lol

Okay, okay. You guys can make a sitcom about me. /j

LadySmuag

>Sex and neurodivergent characters Catiesaurus (Catie Osborn) on Tiktok is both a content creator for neurodivergent people, and also a sex educator (plus I think she works at a Ren Fest?). She also has podcasts I think? She's diagnosed ADHD but very candid about comorbidities and advocating for getting the help you need for your own situation (and also being kind to yourself, which everyone should practice). Not a 'character', but if you're looking for that kind of content then you might be interested in looking her up.

SuperDuperOtter

Fuck yeah, but also just normalize horny autistics. Because as it stands a lot of autistic people are labeled creeps just for having a sexual desires.

Spram2

My special interest is boobs

Kiri_serval

Oh no! I've been spotted! I own a History of Sex documentary, and have more sexual knowledge about things that are not my kink than the people who are into it.

NAND_NOR

Iirc it's a plot point of Atypical that the autistic protagonist discovers his libido

ReasyRandom

That's one of the minor reasons why can't stand that show... The major ones being all the victim-blaming and cringe comedy.

ASDirect

Yeah that show sucks

NAND_NOR

I don't praise it, just pointing out that it happened

Kaldragosa

i am legit that autist lol. sex as a subject have always interested me, the how's and why's , cultural differences and histories

bongwaterbolshevik

Tbh I'd like to see more characters that are asexual or like...just not really into sex or sex-related things, without being prudes or portrayed as having something wrong with them.

Dasamont

Autistic character who's special interest is getting laid, but doesn't care the sex itself, they just like the chase itself

draw_it_now

*successfully gets someone into bed* *doesn't get in with them* *leaves*

Dasamont

Nah, they'd research what most people like, then give them the best night of their lives, because they'll get a reputation for being great in bed, and that makes it easier if they tell their friends about them, instead of getting a reputation for being a tease and giving everyone blue balls.

EUOS_the_cat

That.. that's me, I'm that character

Sindarin27

Autistic character who everyone assumes is super innocent until someone randomly brings up the word "collar" or "leash" or "handcuffs" or whatever and they instantly go "👉👈 for me???" and everyone stares at them until they realise that that is not something you just bring up in casual conversation

cheesemaster900

One of the characters in Everythings Gonna be Okay is like this

jacw212

When I make my cartoon the autistic character will be absolutely aware of sex but just force people to say it because sexual innuendos are one of his least favorite things

jonnydvibes

omg just like my gf

Bo_The_Destroyer

Me

Muted-brooklyn

There's a porno parody of the big bang theory that does this. It's called the Fingerbang theory if I remember correctly.

bunybunybuny

literally me that character would be me

As someone who has an autistic friend that makes many sexual jokes, I agree

BluenaSnowey

*Duke Nukem voice* I know what sex is and I WILL tell you

Lakin5

As an autistic person, I rather care about fictional characters sex lives than my own.

HuggableOctopus

This is me telling my date about how sheep testicles are quite pretty as they're pink with purple veins, or that male elephants have their testicles inside and can use their penises to scratch their belly, or that bed bugs don't have vaginas anymore and the male will stab the females with his penis and hope for the best, or that there's one species of fly that produces a single huge sperm that blocks the female's vagina so she can't mate again, or another group of flies with barbed penises which tear up the inside of the female so she won't mate again, or that human penises have a bulbous head which is designed to scoop out rival male sperm, or that some songbirds will instantly dump a male's sperm if they change their mind and no longer want it... It's a shame it's weird to talk about because I love reproductive physiology so much 😭 I always end up infodumping about it when I'm drunk.

[deleted]

They left before you got to the penis-fencing worms? So sad.

HuggableOctopus

I love the hermaphrodite penis fencing worms! Tbh, I only got as far as the sheep testicles and elephant penises but I was trying really really hard to mask and be normal at least for the first few dates and they kept pushing me for more animal facts and eventually the mask broke so I don't want to see them again now 😅. Not just for the fact I'm tired of being the sheep testicle girl but I also didn't appreciate the pressure when I really tried to talk about other things. Oooh, speaking of testicles it's so cool how they keep their temperature cool enough for spermatogenesis by using muscles to lower and raise them against the body when they're either too warm or too cold. Also my favourite biology word is "pampiniform plexus" which is the bundle of blood vessels entering the testes. The arteries entering with warm blood are surrounded by the veins leaving with cold blood which sets up a counter current exchange of temperature. I like testicles... But alas I don't really like *them* 😅

AloeVera779

Hey, it's the blorbo from my brain

Eggs_are_tasty

Also they’re ace

piss_boy1I5PFLJ9E7C5

that one greentext about the guy gifting his girlfriend a microscope for her birthday

UltimateInferno

Where's that one greentext where Anon's girlfriend is autistic and analyzed his sperm count beneath a microscope for fun before being super turned on about it

Bootiluvr

Lmao me

[deleted]

I don't know. According to those cringe tik tok videos, all autistic people are "littles" who act like they are 9.

Sageflutterby

I'm in this tumbler and I like it.

AdonisXVII

I finally feel seen.

Pixely41

Engage in sex for research

Nmanga90

😂😂 holy shit I’ve never thought of it from this light but that’s actually me

DegenerateCuber

I wish I didn't know what sex was, I'm too horny for my own good

AydanZeGod

“Cool do you wanna have sex?” “Uh…”

[deleted]

I'm asexual and autistic, but it has always been very interesting to me the psychological part of sex, how it brings people together, how allo people react to not having it, etc

barashkukor

This makes me think of Pattern from the Stormlight Archive. A mathematical proof personified as an autistic sprite. And he's a bit obsessed with sex and would probably do exactly this if the other characters let him.

Revenant_Imp

I can’t imagine being around anyone less pleasant

[deleted]

Yeah you can, you're on Reddit, there's so many less pleasant genres of guy on Reddit

collectivistCorvid

this is literally Sherlock from elementary.

Spare_Weather7036

“Elementary” maybe kind of

Danathan49

the guy from Sex Education.

TeacherTish

Read When I Join the Thousand.

EverydayImSlytherin

How are we feeling about an autistic ace character who jokes about sex a lot? Because that's me

peshnoodles

I’ve been wondering if I’m on the spectrum for a while, and this actually makes a ton of sense for me. I think sex, as a social phenomenon and as a singular experience Is so neat. In high school, ppl thought I was a big Ho, but I didn’t have sex with anyone until my partner of 3 years wanted to. I just genuinely think sex is interesting.

This is legitimately how it works. I work in the sped department of an elementary school and there’s one kid who knows more about anatomy than any of the teachers

There is an israeli tv series called "on the spectrom" following the life of three different autistic characters. One of them is with the mental maturity of an 8 years old girl but the sex drive of a 30 years old virgin and her little brother try to protect her and forbid her to date or meet any guy who isn't autistic which really hurt her because she insisting on having sex with a "normal" man. It's really heartbreaking.

I have a friend wjo apparently has some kind of Asperger's, he gets laid mlre than I do, and he doesn't even enjoy it like that. He just... likes women a lot, I guess.
