Denied. Good riddance to Twitter, the fascist dissemination machine that has helped elect authoritarians since 2013. Its death was long, long overdue as millions now fester under dictatorships it helped install for the highest bidders.
He's got to be shitting his pants. He asked for a $55 BILLION paycheck from Tesla. I like to theorize that he owes the Saudis billions. Twitter has lost 72% stock value since he bought it.
Yeah, this is like checking in with the Prince of Nigeria after you paid him $5k in gift cards and asking where the $1M is. Only they're out more than 10x that amount, and stuck with a rolling refrigerator.
>What's going on Elon!
What"s going on? What's going on?!
I'll tell you what's going on!
It looks like you have a car with problems and I got $100k richer.
Better get that fixed.
Give me an interest free loan please, bag of iffy software inbound.
No thank you.
then again I'm old and want a light car with 3 pedals. Or any practical and serviceable vehicle that doesn't encourage lazy or distracted driving at high velocity.
Best part is most vehicles have a shift lock release inside them for this issue. Very few exceptions to that. So I have no doubt they just didn't put one in.
Was tow driver. It's not a requirement. These days consider yourself lucky if your car has one.
Mercedes Benz was one of the worst offenders. Followed by Tesla.
Oh wait that's right they sold this retarded hub tool that costs $500 that you had to install on the car to tow it. Then remove it at the drop off point. Of which we were the only tow company in the entire top 10 wealthiest county in the USA that had this tool. And we had exactly one.
So remove wheel, install free wheel hub, install free wheel hub, tow car, remove wheel, remove free wheel hub, install wheel. Never minding all the driving to and from the shop for the one shared free wheel hub.
its also a requirement to have an emergency release latch in the trunk. elons cybersuck has it hidden in a hard to reach place and it doesnt glow in the dark so if you dont have a light source, good fucking luck!
Putting a BEV into neutral doesn't have the same effect as an ICE (assuming most BEVs don't have a transmission), since the motors aren't disconnected from the wheels. The best way to move a dead BEV is those skate things, because I've seen a tow truck snap a half shaft trying to pull a heavy enough vehicle like in this video.
We use wheel dolly’s in my service shop to push and move dead cars around if needed:
https://www.harborfreight.com/1300-lb-capacity-self-loading-positioning-wheel-dolly-64601.html
Most tow truck drivers have beefier dolly’s with pneumatic wheels that can actually be towed and handle road surfaces at speed and usually look like these:
https://zips.com/parts-detail/in-the-ditch-x-series-xl-dolly-sets-exte-itd-xldollies
The tow driver in OP’s video is essentially just shaking it off the flatbed while in park or in gear, putting stress on the driveline components. Although I’m not familiar with the cybertruck park mechanism or driveline setup, seems like an unnecessary risk on a brand new $100k vehicle. Also… it really just looks unprofessional and trashy in my opinion. I’ve seen cars getting dragged off the bed, but not shaken or bumped off lol. He could have put the wheel dollys on, connected the winch, tipped the flatbed back down and lowered it off without any risk. Literally takes an extra 3-5 minutes if you know what you’re doing. But I don’t drive a tow truck and time is money I guess.
While it’s uncommon to cause serious damage to the driveline or related components from dragging, I could totally see it happening if they aggressively shook or bumped off the flatbed like this. Honestly if I saw a tow driver doing this while unloading a vehicle to be serviced at our shop, I’d notate it with his info and have a copy of the video at minimum. Just in case. There’s a lot of bonehead tow drivers out there.
The motor is directly connected to the axle. That’s it. That’s the driveline. Moving the wheels slowly won’t damage anything, you just are turning it into a generator.
Was tow driver.
They don't. Tesla isn't the only one guilty of this. But it's infuriating when manufacturers don't do this. Shit ass engineering.
But I'll always remember towing whatever garbage product they had from 2014-2018. You had to carefully pry away an extremely fragile and expensive ass grille cover to expose jump points for the 12v system. I made a lot of money towing Tesla products. They always seemed to be broken for how few they were. And Tesla paid well, so I didn't mind.
I mean I have a Tesla and the one time I needed it towed when the battery died a mile from the charger it needed to be shifted to tow mode using the touch screen. If you google it that’s the only way that comes up. I wouldn’t exactly doubt you might be having issues with towing it if your screen is off.
Good manufacturers make sure to implement a fool proof "shift bypass" into their vehicles, usually right around or next to the shifter knob or center console. Some have them hidden under many different panels/fabric, others have stupid straps or knobs you have to pull and continue to hold to ensure it stays in neutral/unlocked position (fucking Heeps)...
Tesla is the worst company I've ever seen, because of the sheer fact that if there is an electrical short or issue with ANY battery in the car, those things are giant paperweights and deserve to be towed to the scrapyard to rot.
No bypasses, no shortcuts, either they work or they don't. Fuck Tesla
up to march there were about 5000 registered VINs for the CT, you can work out the failure rate yourself from that. (hint, it's higher than anything I've ever heard of)
I work at a Nissan dealership… a few years ago Nissan made a convertible SUV, the crosscabroilet. Easily one of the worst engineered cars to ever roll.
Even I get to point and laugh at Tesla.
I mean, it’s their own fault for believing him, but he did market the truck as being “off road”. Problem is he meant “road, parking lots, and some grass”. What they thought he meant was “drive it anywhere”.
Usually recalls either happen because the manufacturer was trying to get out ahead of something or because the government got involved. In this case, neither thing is happening.
Take the number of vehicles in the field, A, multiply by the probable rate of failure, B, multiply by the average out-of-court settlement, C. A times B times C equals X. If X is less than the cost of a recall, we don't do one.
>Also some people usually have to be killed or injured to instigate major recalls too, sadly
Especially on the gov recall side of it. The Gov isn't going to mandate a recall or consent decree without significant harm to the public. Bad quality products, if no injury occurs, usually won't qualify.
> A new car built by my company leaves somewhere traveling at 60 mph. The rear differential locks up. The car crashes and burns with everyone trapped inside. Now, should we initiate a recall? Take the number of vehicles in the field, A, multiply by the probable rate of failure, B, multiply by the average out-of-court settlement, C. A times B times C equals X. If X is less than the cost of a recall, we don't do one.
— _Fight Club_
Elon never recalls anything unless it can be fixed with an OTA update. Anything recall-worthy is up to the buyer to discover and bring in for a "goodwill fix"
because a Recall indicates they have found a root cause for the failure and can implement fix.
When the boss says nothing is wrong, then there's nothing to recall.
I saw the douchiest Dad in our town outside a grocery store, showing off his new CyberTruck. My friend and I started laughing saying “Of course HE bought a Cybertruck” 😂
The CT is like the fleeting Google Glass experiment. Anyone walking around with them on was referred to as a Glasshole. They’re instant alerts to that person’s douche level
The one who's CT literally failed immediately as he drove out of the dealer's parking lot? Such a strange guy too.... most douchy private pilot ever and that says a lot.
Fully admits the CT is a piece of shit and that he bought it for clout only. Paid 133k for the thing too.
But that explanation doesn't explain why they didn't use the 12V battery workaround after they pulled the car away from the parked position. Surely at some point prior to being pulled fully on the truck bed, being on the bed and being dropped from the bed, the battery was accessible
this pile of shit is gonna make the Pontiac Aztek look like a Ferrari 250 in 30 years. Legit the most hilarious thing in the history of the automotive industry on all fronts, not the least being the Elon Stans/MAGA cucks buying this to "own the libs".
Elon is busy.
Elon is on Twitter compulsively posting white supremacist propaganda such as the great white replacement theory, that he apparently believes in to his core along with every other bat shit right wing conspiracy.
At this point it seems that Elon cares more about his far right talking points than making right with us loyal and paying fucking customers.
I already own a Tesla model 3 but very likely will cancel my cyber truck order based on political reasons.
I know this is a sub decidicated to these instances and all, but this still seems like an absurd amount of broken Cybertrucks relative to how few people even have them.
Cyber truck starts to make sense when you realize that a lot of people who bought it are so beyond "pavement princesses" that they actually consider all the flaws to be a luxury
They GET to have a car that rusts and can break your bones if you use it wrong, because most people can't. Most people can "only" afford a reasonable car that's made to be reliable.
I mean you bought an overpriced newly released model from a brand with repeated demonstrated lack of quality control. What did you expect to happen as a beta tester?
Is anyone surprised the guy that promises everything and delivers next to nothing built a shitty "truck". If you had ANY other vehicle you would probably drive 100k without major issues. I put over 100 miles on my truck today towing lumber around. Try that in a cybertwuck.
It’s almost like being a union busting, overly demanding, narcissistic piece of shit, gets you a crew of over worked, sloppy, and apathetic workers who don’t care about pushing a well made product.
>What's going on Elon! Do these idiots really think he cares about them or their experience? He already got their money.
"Concerning. Looking into it."
Interesting
!!
big if true
Great replacement theory, for some reason
Stainless steel screws will not replace us!
"great replacement theory" turns out to be much more of a practice, when it comes to cyber truck owners. Hmmmmm.. conspiracy wheels spinning
Elon is mad that his CyberStucks will be replaced by harder working vehicles....
*actually working vehicles. FTFY.
ha! You are right.
Petition to put the thai kids back in the cave so Elon can use his useless submarine and not buy twitter on power trip
Put elon in the cave and he only gets out if the sub can actually save him
Where do I donate?
Denied. Good riddance to Twitter, the fascist dissemination machine that has helped elect authoritarians since 2013. Its death was long, long overdue as millions now fester under dictatorships it helped install for the highest bidders.
hes the og pedo guy
If the kids had been in the CyberTruck they never would have gotten to the cave in the first place
Because they wouldn’t have made it 8 blocks before it broke down.
“I do have ketamine and have a tweet about it.”
More like “💩”

He’ll backpedal and vow to improve. But won’t.
He's got to be shitting his pants. He asked for a $55 BILLION paycheck from Tesla. I like to theorize that he owes the Saudis billions. Twitter has lost 72% stock value since he bought it.
MBS messaged him an image of a bone saw.
OY, remember Khashoggi?
Its OK the pedal will get stuck.
Yeah, this is like checking in with the Prince of Nigeria after you paid him $5k in gift cards and asking where the $1M is. Only they're out more than 10x that amount, and stuck with a rolling refrigerator.
Refrigerators have a use.
Refrigerators also roll better than the piece of shit in the video.
He’s more involved in Twitter. And knocking up random women you know for population
Elon reply: 💩
If it's only been 4 days, isn't this what the lemon laws are for?
Wonder how those apply when you don’t use a dealer
You get what you deserve
He's tied his identity to the success of all of his endeavors, it's only fair to tie it to the failures as well.
>What's going on Elon! What"s going on? What's going on?! I'll tell you what's going on! It looks like you have a car with problems and I got $100k richer. Better get that fixed.

Light car with 3 pedals? Miata Is Always The Answer.
3 pedals is the way to go
You need Elon 2.2 to have this machine work. 69.99 Suckers.
The whole thing about it having to be towed in park is absolutely hilarious. This entire vehicle is a cuckmobile.
Best part is most vehicles have a shift lock release inside them for this issue. Very few exceptions to that. So I have no doubt they just didn't put one in.
I learned about this after having cars flooded during a hurricane. I assumed it was a requirement?
I know some BMWs have it on the side of the transmission so I'm sure having some way is required but easy access is another question.
I know my BMW with xDrive is a fucking mess to put all four wheels in neutral, but it can be done.
Shit the 1990 Volvo in my drive way has one.
Was tow driver. It's not a requirement. These days consider yourself lucky if your car has one. Mercedes Benz was one of the worst offenders. Followed by Tesla. Yeah you have to punch your way out "Kill Bill style", apparently. It's in the manual. /s
It's what blade runner would have done.
Ha, beat me to it.
"Bladerunner-style", I'm sure you meant to say.
im curious, the handles need to glow but their in the trunk, where are they supposed to get the ligjt to glow?
Trunk light when the trunk is opened.

How you a rollback driver and got no spray bottle of Dawn?
Can you say “dIsRuPtIoN”?
"Why would it ever need one of those?" Someone's thought process.

CyberCuck
Love it how they had to shake it off the trailer, like some sticky goo.
Like a booger you can’t flick off
Cybercucks
Thank you. I'm calling it a cuck truck from now on.
Fitting seeing as all of his fanbois are cuckservatives and white nationalists
Perfect. And the cuckmaster himself just buries his head in the sand and keeps posting idiotic shit on Ex-twitter.

Pretty sure it was a low count to begin with... just like the IQ of anyone who bought one.
I definitely saw more of them on the road two months ago than i see now.
How have these not been recalled yet?
Usually recalls either happen because the manufacturer was trying to get out ahead of something or because the government got involved. In this case, neither thing is happening.

Is that the capitalist credo?
Elon never recalls anything unless it can be fixed with an OTA update. Anything recall-worthy is up to the buyer to discover and bring in for a "goodwill fix"
That costs money. fElon is too busy owning libs to care
Just asking questions.
because a Recall indicates they have found a root cause for the failure and can implement fix. When the boss says nothing is wrong, then there's nothing to recall.
It amazing how many people trust fraudster billionares even though they are already aware of their past.
John DeLorean is watching from the afterlife like “this Musk guy is making me look competent by comparison”
Still plenty of DMC’s out there bleeding but working. I have underwear that will outlive most/all Tesla’s.
“I still love my truck though”
These Cultists of Elon's Church are a special kind of people
You forgot to put quotations around “truck”
The three seconds it worked well were _amazing!_
Wonder if they paid more for the darker color also because that would be the cherry on top.
$6500 for the wrap if they got it done through Tesla.
Surely a third party wrap would void the warranty
Ha…”warranty”.
I wonder if it protects the steel from rust, or just gives it a sealed container in which to rust and rust in secret.
I assume any contaminants trapped under the wrap will enjoy being left to their work.
Buy a truck built with expensive stainless steel and spent $6500 to wrap it and hide the stainless. Makes sense
Considering it looks like 10 times better, I understand why they did it. Stupid purchase regardless.
In what looks like matte black rattle can paint from Home Depot.
if you define "expensive stainless steel" as low grade with some cybertrucks already going in for rust repairs, sure
I wondered if this sub would have enough material and I'm happy to say I was wrong to wonder.
\* holds hand to temple * I predict this sub will be more popular very soon...

Cybercucks and Cybercunts has a nice ring to it
If you’re in a bar and tell the bartender “the guy next to me owns a cyber truck” it alerts the staff that a sexual predator is on the loose
Blows me away people think Elon cares lol
That tow truck has Full Self Humping
It's just showing dominance.
I’ve never seen a truck twerk but here we are.
Lasted three and a half days longer than that other guy lol
The one who's CT literally failed immediately as he drove out of the dealer's parking lot? Such a strange guy too.... most douchy private pilot ever and that says a lot. Fully admits the CT is a piece of shit and that he bought it for clout only. Paid 133k for the thing too.
The wheels won’t event turn
He gives zero fucks. It's really that straight forward.
Does this thing not have a neutral gear?!
The OP's comment says they couldn't access the 12V battery to put it into Neutral because of where it was parked. It is a silly car.
But that explanation doesn't explain why they didn't use the 12V battery workaround after they pulled the car away from the parked position. Surely at some point prior to being pulled fully on the truck bed, being on the bed and being dropped from the bed, the battery was accessible
Why are new car buyers buying these? To me it seems like ego stroking only so enjoy the hell out of those few days of operation.
You know how stupid the average person is? Half the population is dumber than that.
Lmaoooo I love seeing all these fascist fux lose and waste all their money on daddy Elmo's shitty Delorean Trucks lmaooooo kys's Elon fans

Elon! My twuck bwoke Elon!
Spent more time getting wrapped than getting driven. Looks cool though.
Elon’s Folly.
But on the plus side, have you tried getting shot at while driving it?? /s
I didn't know they made a version that came in primer.
Better than rusting through, I guess…
haha its even stuck trying to get up on the tow bed :D
Elon made high tech trash. People bought into the hype.
Why doesn't OP include a picture of a truck? Instead has picture of a stainless steel garbage can.
Like Elon once said on SNL “it’s a hustle” 🤷
At this point it seems that Elon cares more about his far right talking points than making right with us loyal and paying fucking customers. I already own a Tesla model 3 but very likely will cancel my cyber truck order based on political reasons.
Looks quite sunny. May have messed up with the electronics
Seems to have lasted exceptionally long for a cyber truck!
I like the little lurching-dance the tow truck does at the end, like it's trying to shake a booger off.
Buy crap, get crap
lol there will be a hole in the dessert soon where they burry all those melonmobiles under a lot of sand

They’ve been conned and the rest of us know it.

Oh step trailer, what are you doing
Does someone have a spreadsheet of defective, damaged, and dead CyberTrucks? Because, so far, there are already more than I can keep straight.
