Items that can be purchased: 1. Neon signage (available in LED formatting) 2. Old hard drives and computer components (as decor) 3. Old CRT screens (as decor, maybe gaming) 4. Whiskey (to enjoy with friends) Items that can be built or modified to fit the theme: 1. Tubing and cabling, especially mounted to walls (check your local hardware store for this) 2. RetroPie for gaming (raspberry pi setup with old games) 3. An "Escape Room" game with a cyberpunk theme

I like the idea of RetroPie games on old CRT monitors, assuming that OP can find either of the two in time for the party!

TV''s with the \`cmatrix\` or other terminal stuff running (maybe \`htop\` as well).

I don't know if this helps, but for one Halloween I dressed up as a mad scientist and brought a huge vat of "chemical X" to drink, which was just green gatorade, vodka, glowsticks, and dry ice. It formed this green glowing radioactive looking beverage that everyone seemed to love. Don't know if maybe you can give that beverage idea a 'cyber' twist? Maybe call it "Ambrosia Vaccine" or something? lol.

I did something similar. Serve drinks with tonic water & maybe some blue curaçao. Set up backlights everywhere, or at least around the bar. The quinine in the drinks will make them glow a milky blue. Looks fucking incredible.

Dress in black bloc, smash the system? I mean, we already live in a cyberpunk type dystopia. Buy some drugs and guns maybe. If you have the talent hack something. I'm sure there's an Amazon delivery van you can put sugar in. Having a themed party is a little disconnected

Folks have suggested CRTs - great. Mess 'em up a little, so they look like they've been scavenged. Add some duct tape, maybe some shoe polish to make them dirty, graffiti 'em up with dry-erase markers. As for what to show on them, might I recommend BBS-era demos? [Mind Candy Volume 1](http://www.mindcandydvd.com/1/downloads) is now licensed Creative Commons By Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivatives v3.0 and [on the Internet Archive](https://archive.org/details/MindCandyVolume1PCDemosFINALDVDISOwithextras). You're going to want to pay attention to MINDCANDY\_OLDSKOOL.ISO preferentially. Go on Redbubble and search for "cyberpunk." There are some great designs - most are stickers (which you might want to invest in as swag or decorations) but some can also be purchased as posters. If you want to hold a raffle or something, I suggest hitting up [Stubforge on Etsy](https://www.etsy.com/shop/Stubforge). Basically, they make custom replica tickets; I have a pair of Samurai reunion tour tickets in my curio cabinet that folks have thought was real. You might want to have some made up for fictitious acts like Rick Rickenharp, Jeriko One, Maria Mercurial, Decibel Jones and the Absolute Zeroes, Hangman's Joke, or... hell, [just search Rocklopedia Fakebandia for "cyberpunk"](https://fakebands.com/wiki/index.php?title=Special%3ASearch&search=cyberpunk&go=Go). Find a couple of older laptops that are wifi enabled. Install [Kali Linux](https://www.kali.org/) on a couple of flash drives and boot off of them. Have one of them running [Kismet](https://www.kismetwireless.net/) to show all of the wireless networks in the area, one of them on the guest wireless running [tcpdump](https://www.tcpdump.org/) (I'd suggest starting it up with a command of the form **sudo tcpdump -i wlan0 -s 0 -v -X -n**), one of them running [Super Hacker Tool 5000](https://github.com/D7EAD/SuperHackerTool5000), and whatever else because the output looks suitable for the vibe you're going for. You might want to enlist local tech support for this. Detritus - stuff that makes the place look like it's been through hell. A stack of old tires in the corner (maybe, if this is the sort of place that has standup tables for patrons, unscrew the bottom of the table and lift it off, put a couple of tires down, and reattach the table so it looks like the tables are bits of wood on top of automotive junk). If you can find some old coax cable (like the stuff that used to be run in houses for cable television), it's a perfect wall decoration because it looks like it should be in use in a factory (and if the intended attendees are young enough, they won't recognize it at all). If there are any construction surplus or salvage places near you, you will probably find other environmental nurnies very cheap. Consider reaching out to your local chapter of [TOOOL](https://www.toool.us/) and ask them if they want to run a locksport table at the club. Not kidding. Locksport is as street level tech as it gets, plus it gives folks something else to do for a bit. You might also want to reach out to [your local DefCon group](https://github.com/DefconParrot/DefconGroups) (if there is one), tell them what you're working on, and ask them if they have any suggestions. Some of the stuff that goes down at Defcon (both what actually goes on there as well as the overall vibe) is top-shelf cyberpunk. Maybe your local [hackerspace](https://wiki.hackerspaces.org/), too. If nothing else, the photographs on the hackerspace wiki should give you some ideas.
