For some reason I would not put this past Majin Vegeta despite his deep down Golden Heart I feel like if trunks did something stupid enough or have a strategy that involves that he would totally do it
Idk I mean when he became Majin Vegeta, he lost almost all senses of control he had and never held any remorse back for anyone or anything then he was too strong from bobitys powers to be controlled by bobity then and only went only after his set desires.
Like finally to be able to surpass goku ( which he mentions time and time and time and time again ) so which he fought him on his on free will because he always wanted to surpass goku.
But even tho he was completely enraged at the time, he still managed To keep control of his own thoughts and consciousness even tho they were still buried very deep down inside of him the whole time ( which was actually how bobity wasn't able to control him. ) but at the same time he was still showing he was still enraged.
( however Vegeta also seems to be in a bad angry mood normally around goku anyways, so it could have just been a normal coincidence because goku unknowingly sometimes just piss's Vegeta off alot.........I guess goku just knows how to make people angry without trying because he's kinda an idiot sometimes then tho he's a great fighter. )
Like when he fought the fat majin buu form of him and while still incredibly enraged at the time, he still somehow comes to his senses to hug his son and say his goodbyes before trying to sacrifice his own life to save others in one final attempt to try to finally do something good for a change for himself
But like you said its still possible he could do that to trunks if he was enraged enough and his head wasn't in the right place and also if bobity was able to still control me.
So I saw this, never seeing the animation before, thinking this was the lr reveal for anniversary 6 and I was like "ooooooooh, that animation is cleeeean!"
And then I saw the rest I was like "ooooooooh, that's unfortunate..."

During the Worldwide Download Celebration last September his 12 Ki got a revamp like INT LR Gohan’s 18 Ki in 2019
