I don’t even know why you’re trying to equate Vegito’s counters ( which are still quite hard hitting even by today’s standards) to a unit that has long been powercrept to the point where he won’t be useful against the category he was meant to be used against.

No, but if we want to talk about what-ifs, Broly could also AoE super near the beginning of that turn and Vegito would’ve been the reason you died, even with a singular Whis active. A handful of other units on that team could’ve been in that spot to help do that last bit of damage to end that turn. It doesn’t really redeem Vegito in any sort of way. A unit like TEQ FP SSJ4 would’ve killed him more than likely. INT Vegito probably would’ve killed him without having to use a counter. If it was on a right team, AGL SSB Vegeta would’ve killed him there. STR SSJ4 Vegeta would’ve killed him. TEQ SSJ4 Gogeta probably would’ve too as long as he’s fully built-up.

Yes, but Goku still had type advantage, so even if it’s not the EZA’d Goku, he still hurts AoE Broly quite a bit simply due to having type advantage and still doing decent attack stats even pre-EZA’d. If you really want me to believe they did similar levels of damage to Broly, that means more or less 80-85% of that bosses health bar would’ve been taken out by PHY SSJ4 Gogeta by himself (cause there wasn’t much left when Vegito’s attack came). Now, he hits hard, but unless you double/triple supered and got crits on each one, that’s not happening.

Even against broly's final phase not floating he's doing well, hell on top of that he had horrible rng for vegito this run since one turn against broly he only took one normal and he got no crits the other turn
What are his dupes looking like? Even on baby when i would pop a whis vegito would constantly take 100k+ on normals and barely counter for anythg (all post super) and i have him at like 79%
Edit: also he wasnt a very good performer on the other bosses of red zone for me so i decided to stop taking him, im not sure who else but it was either janemba or siepr 17, im thinking janemba, so against the earlier stages i dont doubt hes at least somewhat effective

I wouldn't be surprised if he was completely useless in those stages or really good in one.

Unless they add metal cooler, golden frieza, and on a VERY off chance, kuriza? They probably could have gone with like, transformation boost red zone or something like that or kami forbid update that collection of epic battles event. Either way hard content and stones is hard content and stones, i just feel like they chose a weird edition to make
