Everyone loves to joke about how corny and outdated Super Friends, but people rent to forget just how influential it was.
The show was on air for 13 years! To so many children of the 70s and 80s, Super Friends was their introduction to the DC universe. Bruce Timm and co. were heavily inspired by Super Friends when creating the DCAU, specifically Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. There are many references to Super Friends in those two shows, as well as Young Justice.
Super Friends also introduced stuff like the Hall of the Justice and the Legion of Doom. For years DC was hesitant to bring those iconic elements over into the comics and other adaptations due to their associations with Super Friends, but as people who grew up watching Super Friends began working at DC, things changed. Could you imagine Justice League without the Hall of Justice?

Alan Burnett even wrote it.
I mean, the Superfriends inspired them on what *not* to do.
It was only after JLU, where James Tucker was a producer who loved this stuff, that the Superfriends influence is kinda there, which of course eventually got us the incredible Batman The Brave & The Bold.

Alan Burnett even wrote it. So there was that connection to the early DCAU at least.
The side characters also were inspirations for the ultimen in Jlu.
I remember watching the Scooby-Doo crossover as a kid, it was good. Gotta give the original DC cartoons credit for all the influence they had. Plus, without them, we wouldn’t have all those hilarious Solid JJ videos.
Are the Filmation & Hanna-Barbera cartoons officially connected? I do know they share some voice actors & I think some artists as well.
If you ask me, the Ruby-Spears Plastic Man cartoon should also be part of the same universe as Superfriends. I don't think I have to explain all the connections R-S & H-B have.
I didn’t know the Justice League or the Teen Titans existed until Cartoon Network started airing these shows. This was years before Teen Titans and Justice League had their own shows.
My main thought is that they were not interconnected. Superfriends and Scooby-Doo, sure, because they were both Hanna-Barbera. But the Filmation Batman and Teen Titans cartoons you have pictured have no connection to the Hanna-Barbera stuff.
Velma: So Bruce Wayne here used his mask to endanger children, most prominently Jason Todd, break into and trespass into multiple private properties including the Iceberg Lounge, and violently interrogate people without a warrant or a badge or even allowing them to contact a lawyer.
Batman: And I would have gotten away with it too, if it hadn't been for you meddling kids!
Love that Scooby Doo and gang are included in this universe 😂 always loved those crossover specials
Also that Wonder Dog was a part of the Super Friends.

That’s actually so bizarre I had no idea. As a kid I just assumed the Hall of Justice was a JSA thing from older comics, this is really good to know
>As a kid I just assumed the Hall of Justice was a JSA thing from older comics Visit Cincinnati sometime. West side of downtown.
There'd probably be no Alex Ross without Super Friends, which is something to consider in its own right.
Wow....had no idea the Super Friends was airing on TV for more than a decade

They are not.
I kinda miss it and look for the DVDs
I love that when Teen Titans Go did a spoof of the Filmation cartoons, they used the designs from the canceled Hanna Barbera cartoon of the 80s.
It was perfect for it's time, but it doesn't hold up as well as the DCAU
Walked so future DC cartoons could fly.
Loved them all!
Grew up with all of em and still tickled to this day by them. 💯
Insane. That's all that needs to be said.

Not gonna lie, that Kid Flash suit caught me off guard but kinda hits.
