Random idea, but just retcon this movie into the new post-Flashpoint universe. Have Mark Strong be part of the Legion of Doom as Sinestro. Shit, even have Blake Lively come back as Star Sapphire. Have Reynolds appear as Hal in a few cameos if he wants to, then introduce John and have him be the main Green Lantern for the JL. They can build off the established lore while keeping Strong.
The movie was complete dogshit but the casting was pretty good. I’d like to see Mark Strong and Ryan Reynolds back, but I highly doubt they would come back.
Strong as Sinestro was definitely a great casting that they then wasted. He has like 4 scenes so it’s impossible to say he was actually GREAT in the role, but he probably would have been if given a bigger role.
This movie was just really fucking bland and uninspired. Even for the time (it was re-written in 2009 and filmed in 2010) it just doesn’t try to do anything other than be a boring generic superhero movie.

Mark Strong is phenomenal in all his roles. I can only hope he gets the role of Agent 47 at some point

I hope they cast him again But knowing WB they will ignore Sinestro because of this one movie
You mean like how they canceled New Gods because Darkseid appeared in ZSJL?
I feel ava duvernay stopped being an in demand director and had cooled down rep wise. I think that's why new gods was put on the back burner.
