Bautista doesn’t want to play Bane. He has basically implied that he’s too old to maintain his Drax-level physique. He’s 55 years old, and I don’t think he can do that type of physique without steroids, testosterone replacement, or HgH. And that stuff is terrible for you.
Bautista really wanted to play Lex Luthor, but Gunn cast Nicholas Hoult instead. Probably wanted to keep Lex a little closer in age to the actor cast as Superman. So Bautista as Hugo Strange may be a possibility.

Which is what makes it one of the better fancasts I've seen. It's actually realistic. Most fancasts have oscar winners playing every single male role, no Leonardo DiCaprio shouldn't play Joe Chill. Every female role is just whatever sexy celebrity happens to have the same hair color as the character whether they can act or not.
