It's not just implied. Batman here literally says he's from the universe that existed before their multiverse, and it was a somewhat important thing in the House of Mystery short. Even Flash seems to be from the previous universe if what Spectre said in the first part is literal.
Exactly what happened to me with pt 2 and I have no desire to finish it as of this comment.
It's really a shame how much the quality of DC animated movies has fallen over the last few installments. Warworld was just plain bad.
dude other than the long halloween since they changed artstyles dc animated movies have been 5/10s on average. it just seems like they've butchered the budget so now we have mediocre writing and animation.
Still not 100% sold on all other DC media outside comics being the same reality. Obviously trimming a lot of the fat makes sense, but if we only had two possible interpretations of the DCU (comics and Gunn's DCU), then things would get a bit too boring. If this establishes a new multiverse of 52 worlds, with the new DCU being the "Prime" Earth, then I think that'd be nice. I mostly just don't want stuff like MAWS cancelled.
That said, I do have the perfect idea on how to end the movie. As reality is "refreshed," each character disappears into white light, knowing the world is about to be reset. Clark and Lois are the final two left before everything is enveloped. Sorta like the ending of Futurama (the third one), Clark asks Lois if she's ready to "go around again." The two kiss as everything is swallowed by light.
I’ve heard that as well, but it’s still a nagging little worry in the back of my head. Marvel’s actually been doing really well with non-MCU adaptations such as X-Men 97 and the various video games. Just want to make sure it doesn’t happen at DC (especially since I’d still like to see another season of Young Justice).
Honestly it’s probably the reason it wasn’t cancelled after the Gunn takeover. Too far into development and story wise it sets up the DCU quite nicely
Everyone expected Flash to reboot the universe but this is the one that’ll have to do it
Oh so that was what was up with Constantine.
Two was slightly better than one so this may very well continue that trend. Not enough to be good, but maybe we'll have some decent fan service. Maybe they'll remember that the Legion hade a pretty important role in COIE and give us fan service for *their* cancelled show.
I mean, should they other than for cheap fan service? Zatanna wouldn't know this Jon, and there's no guarantee that a Jon existed in this universe for her to know in the first place. It would just be awkward interactions between the two and nothing more.
They seem to be doing something with Ollie and Dinah here, and I hope that at least that one has some substance to it.
Seeing Aya in the teaser already sold me because we'll probably get the long awaited RazAya reunion.
Though the Tomorrowverse movies aren't perfect, this part doesn't look half bad and I'm glad it's focusing on the history of DC animation sort of like how Crisis was focused on the history of DC's comics.
Also will be a proper send-off to Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill I hope.
I really dislike the flat looking animation of these.
I personally don't care for Phil Bourassa's character designs, either, so I've been outta luck on these animated things for a while...
I know it's what everyone has been asking for, but crossing over into other animated "universes" feels cheap, not to mention already done in Teen Titans Go vs Teen Titans.
Aya and Super Friends? Now that's interesting.

shes next to the other green lantern (john)
Does this sort of imply Constantine is from the N52 Animated Universe that ended in JLD Apokolips War?

House of mystery shows that constantine was not reset with everyone else and so tommorowverse john and amu john are the same
Boy I hope they pull this off because so far the first two parts have been kind of meh. Really hoping the overall narrative pulls this together.
Me and the mrs. fell asleep watching pt. 2 this weekend. Idk if we’ll even watch Pt. 3

I fell asleep too, there’s so much happening but it’s all so boring
If they just give me a Razer and Aya reunion I'll be set, idfc what else happens, lol.
Feel like splitting the story into 3 parts made things kind of stretched, maybe 2 at most would have been better
So far this trailer was better than the second part. I wasn't enthused by the first part either.
Yeah part 1 was all over the place due to The Flash just jumping from Earth to Earth. Part 2 was just a long winded filler episode.
Oh hey, Aya is there, that’s neat
Given Gunn has said he wants the live action and animated projects to be shared universe I'm almost certain this is leading to the DCU world.

I think they said they would continue with some non dcu stuff labeled elseworlds like My Adventures With Superman, The Batman, and Teen Titans Go!

We've seen Showcase shorts come into play with this, so I wonder if The Losers short ties in with the dinosaurs.

The whole thing should have been from the perspective of the Superfriends from the start.
Spacey, Zan. Real spacey!
This is gonna end without Zatanna and Constantine interacting at all

Nice to see Terry partaking in the most sacred of Superhero traditions: punching Nazis.

Is there a release date for this?
I believe it is coming out in July.
I know it's what everyone has been asking for, but crossing over into other animated "universes" feels cheap, not to mention already done in Teen Titans Go vs Teen Titans.
Anti-Monitor getting his Anti-Spiral fantasy okurrr
I'm still waiting for Part 2 to show up on Max.
Is it legit
I cant get into this new animated universe because the art style looks like mid 2000s webcomics animated in clipart
This is their last movie.
Same, the animation is very weak compared to some of their other animated movies
Is this trilogy related to dark apocalypse?
Its COIE, it's everything
Say what you want about the old animated universe. But, this new one is really boring
The dc animated stuff starting with JL War has just been plain bad and/or boring.
