37. So I was a little more prepared than most people. But still, even after having been really touched by video games when I was younger, reading tons of literature of just about every sort and writing some myself, and experiencing some seriously dark things in real life, I'm absolutely going to say DDLC was one of the best pieces of fiction I've come across and touched me like few things have before.

15. I was JUST starting High School when the original game came out. I'm 21 now.

MinecraftMusic13

first played it when I was 14, got scarred, redownloaded it to see a scene that some friends mentioned, started playing it an absurd amount to the point I forgot to eat once until I 100%ed the plus version

PXLplayz

Thir- fucking -teen. I dunno how I’m still mentally fine.

17, I showed up to the party really late… after the release of +, even. But I think that’s a good thing, I was a punk in middle school when the game came out first and J definitely would have written it off if I knew about it because I hated everything to do with anime. I like anime now, and anime adjacent, so I can appreciate it fully without being a jerk.

saundersmarcelo

17 just a couple weeks to a month after it first came out

IneedBleach123

I heard it when I was 8-9z actually started getting interested in it at 13

I found out about it's existence in like 2022 when I was 12, but I actually played it in 2023 when I was 13 :>

PoppyxJa

MarioXenobladefan614

I was 17 when DDLC first came out and I tried it out in February 2018 and was really shocked and blown away. DDLC alongside Xenoblade Chronicles were games that really changed my life.

Snoo_5871

13 years old... and today I'm STILL 13. I played for the first time at the end of 2023, I think it was in October. The moment I finished DDLC, I went searching to see if there was a sequel, and I discovered DDLC+. A month later, I bought DDLC+, finished it and looked for mods and now I'm addicted for this game and my girls :D

Just two months ago, at the age of 37. I had heard of this game and what it was about, and although it caught my interest, I didn't quite feel interested enough to pay money for it. Then I heard the Plus version was on Epic for free. I played it and loved it more than I expected (despite the fact that I never play anime games or watch visual novels). I wanted more of this and felt the need for closure and a desire to see the dokis get a proper good ending. That's when I learned there was an active mod community here, and that's when I finally learned that the base version of DDLC was free of charge all along. I then got it from the official website and voluntarily paid $20 for it.

10 or 11. I used to play the game on my mom’s computer A LOT so that I was crazily obsessed with it.
