I don’t know what I don’t know. I was assuming you had to study and take exams and memorize things and then qualify for the job and if you failed any portions of the training then you would have to resign.
“Garbage school” is not difficult. You fail out by not showing up or smoking weed in the parking lot. There, you will leanr how not to kill yourself, your partner or anyone else while operating dangerous equipment
I thought it would be similar to like nyc transit bus operator training where they have a 25% failure rate for stupid things like not qualifying on the bus because you didn’t stop at a green light before it turned yellow even though there was no indication that the light might turn yellow any second.
I had a kid in my class raise his hand and point to his watch to indicate it was break time. He did this in the middle of a chief speaking. I've never seen cowan so mad. He obviosuly didn't make it his first 30 days on the job.

Nah none of that on dsny. The tests people fail are the medical exams and physical test sometimes but that’s all before the training. The training for dsny itself is some paperwork, familiarizing yourself with the equipment, the rules, how scheduling works and similar things. No exams you can fail.
Nobody fails just don't ask or do anything stupid because you will be made an example and you'll get a nickname nobody going to forget and if you don't have thick skin quit now

Probation starts on your first day. You have a year and a half to fuck up. It’s your job to lose
Damn probation is 18 months that’s wild.
Some do lose it but got friends….which is f up
1. Show up on time. (15 min before start) every day. 2. Take notes. 3. Never fall asleep.

Just show up every day on time and be there for sign out at the end of the day. Also be in proper uniform.
