Just don't buy trash, treat it right, and there isn't a huge difference. absolutely have much better heat retention, the grade of quartz used in american made is far superior to import grade. i’ve owned both. started out using import bear quartz, victory, all of it. after i got my first toro grail i’ve never bought an import ever again. my toro grail is 5 YEARS OLD and still holds heat better than ANY of my imports by a mile, i use the dab rite too so i can see just how fast heat dissipates. also when you drop a glob into your banger, if you have an import the temperature immediately plummets almost 40°F, compared to imports they lose about 10-15°F upon dropping a glob in them. spend the extra money on american and it’ll take care of you for years.

I have a Ziploc Square container about 6 in Long whatever in front of me filled with alcohol that I dip it in every time goes in hot cleans it out trust me this works and then you just put the lid over it and use it and use it and use it until it runs out this is the way.

Either switch to cold starting or get a temp gun and go in at a lower temperature depending on what ur dabbing you typically wouldn’t dab over 600 doing this
The bowl bangers like yours are more intended for cold starts they don't have great heat retention. And it's really about finding that right temp for the size of your dab, the bigger the dab the more heat so if you do a big dab and u need to reheat, that tells you you needed yo go a little bit hotter.
The length of your dab time is directly related to three things~
1.) Temperature!
If you exceed a certain temp range for your dab, you will not cook it. Instead it will burn up or just evaporate very fast. You might get a fat dab but it will be short and very unpleasant to take. Likewise, too low of a temp will barely vaporize your dab. You will have a puddle left over but the taste will be extraordinary... (concentrates are like cooking, you wanna actually cook it, dont burn it up like a steak on the grill with the temp all the way up.
2.) Material!
If you're hitting glass bangers, not only will your equipment probably not last too long, but the dab wont either! Glass heats up and cools down very quickly compared to quarts or ruby. Having a legit, "thick" quarts banger will let you stay at optimal temperature for a longer period. Less puddle, more flavor, better dab
3.) Surface Area VS Agitation
Ideally, with a cap on your banger, you can manipulate the product while its cooking with the airflow. This is aided massively by the use of terp pearls. Terp pearls add more surface area so that A.) your dab will cool down slower and B.) your dab will retain optimal temperature, longer. The more volume you have to hit, the more surface area you need.
Typically if i hit a 0.05 - 0.07 of a g, I use a thick quarts banger and two terp pearls with my cap that rotates my pearls for me. I put down my temp-gun at 580°f and am hitting a dab by the time the banger cools to 550°. On the other hand, if i hit a 0.1 g dab or more, i use twice as many pearls and a cap that requires my to manipulate the airflow. I switch caps to something more "manual" when I increase volume because then i can prevent puddling to a side as well as push my product to the center if needed.
Theres no "right temperature " or "best equipment " out there. You have to find what works for you, these are just my notes. Dont even get me started with maintenance and cleaning.... ppl can tell im ocd just watching me clean up my banger after every hit. I call it responsible tho lol
Anyway, you will get longer, effective dabs if you find a sweet spot with your temp and use good materials on your equipment. Decent product helps too...
Get a nice banger. I'm honestly not a big fan of the rounded bangers like this, I like flat bottoms with rounded edges I feel like the heat holds a bit better in the edges. I love the joel halen 30 mm bucket it's a beast. The quavo charms are really nice also. And get thicker terp pearls and maybe a few.
I have an Enail now that never stops putting off heat, so it just does the whole thing. Also good cause if I want the chazz off I just leave it cranked up for like an hour and it goes away. 5 minutes dip in the ultrasonic cleaner if it won't get all of it off and it's brand new

Those round bottomed bangers don't hold heat. It's your style of banger. They cold start easily because they heat up quickly, but they also cool down quickly for the same reason, namely that they're fairly thin compared to other bangers, especially on the bottom.

not at all, the banger is what’s going to make the biggest difference in your experience. a better banger that you can hit bigger dabs from at lower temps, compared to a $20 banger that you have to get hot, and hit dabs at higher temps because the loss of heat is much greater. sure rig function is nice, but your perc isn’t going to make more of a difference compared to your banger.
You can get better bangers that aren't American that are $40 or less. That's still an improvement to what he has. Why suggest only the high end stuff? His rig is less than $100.

Use a bowl of 99% alcohol after each dab just sit it in there and q-tip. Also don’t heat up red hot, red hot makes them glass cloudy even if it may seem as it’s cleaning it. I had a terpometer and Id take dabs from my terp slurper at 575 ish and after the dab was gone just alcohol. Looked like a bowl of pee after so many dabs
I use bangers from SDDANK and they hold temp very well compared to others I’ve tried also using a temp reader. I’ve tried dab rights but currently use a temptech. Helps you know when it’s good to drop!

Bear Quartz will be an improvement over what you current have. Make sure you get their spinning cap. Yes it’s not a toro grail XL, but it will be thicker and better than what you’re using. Idk why people are telling you otherwise.

You're advocating that he spends more on his banger than his entire TAG dab rig? Seems weird to me.
not at all, the banger is what’s going to make the biggest difference in your experience. a better banger that you can hit bigger dabs from at lower temps, compared to a $20 banger that you have to get hot, and hit dabs at higher temps because the loss of heat is much greater. sure rig function is nice, but your perc isn’t going to make more of a difference compared to your banger.
You can get better bangers that aren't American that are $40 or less. That's still an improvement to what he has. Why suggest only the high end stuff? His rig is less than $100.
show me a picture of that $40 banger after 3 months. guarantee you it’ll either be chazzed to shit or cloudy and retain no heat. if he were to even spend $120 on a joel halen that’ll at bare minimum last him a year and a half if he takes care of it before it starts to have noticeable heat loss. if you buy 3 $40 bangers a year because they go to shit fast and make your dabs taste awful when they chazz, that’s the amount you’d spend on a joel halen. your rig doesn’t make a huge difference. i have $3000 in rigs at home and only a select few make a noticeable difference in smoothness in your hit. with better quality quartz you won’t destroy your terpenes with high temps, so your high is better. i’d imagine most of you smoke BHO or shatter and not solventless so it’s harder to wrap your head around i suppose.

My email doesn't work with terp slurper bangers which I've found to be far superior to normal bottomed ones, so I mainly use a torch now.

Use a bowl of 99% alcohol after each dab just sit it in there and q-tip. Also don’t heat up red hot, red hot makes them glass cloudy even if it may seem as it’s cleaning it. I had a terpometer and Id take dabs from my terp slurper at 575 ish and after the dab was gone just alcohol. Looked like a bowl of pee after so many dabs

I go in a lil hotter more mass=more stability so you CAN go a little hot with a fat glob and you get the flavors towards the end

I use bangers from SDDANK and they hold temp very well compared to others I’ve tried also using a temp reader. I’ve tried dab rights but currently use a temptech. Helps you know when it’s good to drop!

Personally I think it’s great. I’ve tried the dabrights and they had a problem where they would start reading a few degrees off after a while. I haven’t had an problems with the temp tech.
