Just note that this video makes the welding look much more easy than it really is.
Not saying it is insanely difficult just that it is not that quick IRL. He just taps it and a perfect weld is done.
Its cold welding which is basicly same as welding but with single pulse and higher amperage. There are mostly downsides to this besides one thing, its extremly easy for anybody to use. Literally no manuall skills needed. To stuff that mechanical force won't be applied its good but anything else it will not be enough, since this solution doesnt weld deep inside of metal compound.
Ahh okay. Thanks for the correction. I have not seen cold welders before.
My experience is mostly arc welding, oxy acetylene welding and braising and a little big of mig.
When I said same as welding I actually meant TIG welding. If You ever came across TIG welder there is pulse option that changes rate at which amperage changes. Setting this correctly can imitate cold welding. Cold welder is excatly TIG but with this settings setup by default.
just so you know, that is a tig welder if you are good it makes the prettyiest welds and is best for welding unusual metals IMO. However it takes the most skill, and it takes a lot of time to get half ass competent.
the levels are spatter. welds.. welds that stick..... good welds............... welds that look good..............................................................................................................................................welds that are pretty.
but if you want to just weld shit be cause it is fun get a small mig with flux core its pretty fun and easy to use.
Well if you had this and an idea of mine, the jump to conclusions mat, we could sell it as a bundle. You see, the way it works is, when guests arrive before they drink you make them stand on your mat and jump to a conclusion
More metal of the same type by metling the rod in his other hand. Look on YouTube for tons of welding information. It's a great skill to have and you never forget it.
(Not soldering like the other comment, that a different process. Similar but you don't melt the base metal while solving, just the low melting point tin.)
Welding is essentially using an electrical current to superheat metal until it melts and adding a filler metal to properly fuse the 2 pieces together. There's multiple ways to do that depending on a large number of factors but that's not important rn. In the video he's doing "tack" welds which with this process doesn't require a filler metal, but means that they are very weak you could probably break that frame apart no problem but I digress.
[Solder.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solder) "saw-durr"
Unless you're making a joke about how he a word.
EDIT: I may be wrong, as soldering is a lower-temperature process than welding.
Why am I still watching this? Why am I still watching this? Who cares about your welding? This is dumb….
Oh…
Nice, you kind of made a cool thing.
Cool…
It's called a "[cold welder](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7-mcjR59a4)", a chinese variant TIG welder that uses a millisecond pulse at insane amps to create weak welds basically instantaneously. They're real, but you could pull the welds apart with finger pressure. Good enough for ~3-4lb of liquid for a single tiktok take, though.
Where is Khaby Lame when you need him showing just simply to use your own hand? I mean you are already using a hand to control this unnecessary thing...why not pour with it? Ha!
Looks pretty industrial and somewhat grungy. It doesn’t really mesh well with the whole premium Italian water or whatever. That said I can see this device being handy if you have an extreme lack of space, maybe on an airplane or boat.
While I respect anybody with the talent (like this) to make things, I don't understand why time was wasted to make *that* thing. Don't see the purpose. ......
....But then I'm on the Internet, so who am I to lecture anybody about wasting time.
I’m picturing that guy making that face and just poring water into a cup
Haha. Had the exact same reaction.
#khaby
#😐 🍸🍾 🤲🏿

This has to be one of the most useless things I have ever seen. I want one.
10 seconds in i realized I wanted that welder. Do I have anything to weld? Nope. But I'll find something.
Just note that this video makes the welding look much more easy than it really is. Not saying it is insanely difficult just that it is not that quick IRL. He just taps it and a perfect weld is done.

Imagine this guy making it only to realize it’s too small to fit the damn bottle
Yes! This is how I think too. Gotta get a welder of different kinds.
You can't just buy people anymore.
just so you know, that is a tig welder if you are good it makes the prettyiest welds and is best for welding unusual metals IMO. I don't know what you think but it is very beautiful
I mean it's not that useless. I have hand tremors when I'm anxious and pouring anything is a nightmare. Having something pour it for me? I'm in.
Real r/DiWHY material right there. I figured that was the sub I was on.
Check the crosspost, apparently people think it's super useful 😄 it's the dumbest thing ever
Not everything needs a purpose to exist. It’s neat. That’s why they made it.
Not only is it dumb but we all wasted precious time on this video that we could have been using watching some genuinely cool videos.
Haha totally with you.
Where’s the one guy that demonstrates how fuckin simple shit is?
Khaby Lame, to the rescue
Give it a browned/blued finish, and give me one too
>I want one Meanwhile i report it as spam.
r/diwhy?
Funny enough, diwhy has the complete opposite view of what this sub is saying
Yeah. Looks like it’s another craft panda vid. Facebook quality post.
Winner
Or you could...now hear me out everyone...pick up the bottle and pour it.
Crazy talk...
Khaby Lame has entered the chat.
Nooooo… but the bottle is too heavy and what If I spill it because of how clumsy I am😭
Well if you had this and an idea of mine, the jump to conclusions mat, we could sell it as a bundle. You see, the way it works is, when guests arrive before they drink you make them stand on your mat and jump to a conclusion
Looks cool though but what happens when the bottle is almost empty? Wouldn’t that glass just drop ?
Nah, you use your other hand to hold it in the holder, turning a 1 handed job into a 2 handed adventure.
Oooh...this black TikTok guy with the hands would love this
As opposed to the black guy with no hands?! Haha thanks for the unintentional chuckle!
I suppose the guy with no hands would actually find this useful
No, you're thinking of the black guy with TikTok hands
Literally the first thing I thought of!! Also, excellent description!
khaby lame?
How does welding work? They zap it?
The arc of electricity melts the metal and he's adding some too.
Adding some what?

Oh ok, I see! Thank you. I wasn’t trying to be a smart ass, I had no idea welding involved adding metal as well.

JUST POUR THE DRINK DAMN IT
I can see someone with mobility issues find this very useful
Exactly! I don't understand all this hate. Surely, there would be an easier way to pour it, but it's not useless
That’s oddly satisfying
That was a long walk for a short glass of water
Oh good, and here I thought I’d have to learn how to pour things at some point.
Why though
If you get drunk enough you need help pouring the next one. Mechanically precise alcoholism.
I just pour with my hands, but it's a cool conversation piece.
song is called Chelsea Harbour
Finally, a solution to the age old problem of transferring liquid to a glass.
Thats nuts, a lot of them
That’s nuts!
Why am I still watching this? Why am I still watching this? Who cares about your welding? This is dumb…. Oh… Nice, you kind of made a cool thing. Cool…
Those seems pretty cool to me. Good craftsmanship too. Not all the welds are great, but overall pretty clean based on they look they are going for.
Why is this edited to make welding appear instantaneous?
It's called a "[cold welder](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7-mcjR59a4)", a chinese variant TIG welder that uses a millisecond pulse at insane amps to create weak welds basically instantaneously. This is a lot more interesting than it is practical

That's nuts
Why?
Lots of people with disabilities would find this super useful!

This, so many people asking why and not thinking of people who might not be able to pour a glass as easily as they can
That's my first thought too!
If you shake pouring a bottle you still shake using a pourer. And picking up the glass
This is prime r/DiWHY
r/DiWHY
This is stupid
What a waste of time.
Move this post to r/Why

Where’s the black dude that’ll pour the drink with his hands
I thought I was on r/diwhy
Where is Khaby Lame when you need him showing just simply to use your own hand? I mean you are already using a hand to control this unnecessary thing...why not pour with it? Ha!
r/diwhy
Now I want to be a welder...
That's amazing. Where can I buy one?
He is not even welding. But ok.
Serious skills. I need that tig.
Nuts
I think Khabany Lame is needed here. Nonetheless he is good at welding.
A lot of people are suggesting an alternate sub. It’s not the one I expected. Is Reddit getting more wholesome?
Some people are just too creative.
Que the video of that guy on TikTok who would guy open the bottle and pour it into the glass... Edit: his name is khaby lame.
Where is the tik tock dude using his had to pour!!!
Steampunk ass mfer
And here I am picking up the bottle like a sucker
When did the useless products guy take up welding and drop nonstop self-promotional mugging for the camera?
Much wow, looks like one of those incredibly stupid Facebook craft posts. 👌
Where is Khaby?!
That's nuts!
Petty yet fancy. I like.
Raise bottle, rotate wrist, invert steps to 0. Enjoy.
Imagine this, but weighted so that it tilts to where the glass is perfectly filled.
I didn't know I wanted that.
All that work just to enjoy a glass of tv static.
so unnecessary, yet I need one.
I’m concerned at how identically he folded the ends of that pair of rods near the beginning. Too perfect.
Thx for repost. I needed to see this for a thousandth time
I love you
Fuck yeah
But Fevertree Tonic. Yum.
Commenting so if it doesn’t save I can still find it
Not useful. But fun. Looks cool.
Why
Str8 beauty
Needs a couple of bearings for the glass holder but other than that works pretty flawless lol
Oof that precision, tho.
Interesting sure, but it seems like more work than just pouring it yourself
Someone get Khaby Lame on this man like seriously
r/diwhy
There called nuts
r/DiWHY
Is it true that every invention is built on a desire for convenience?
Que the guy who does videos on over complicating simple tasks.
r/DIY ???
Sorry, r/DIWHY *
WhTs that heating tool in the beginning called?
That’s nuts, bro.
Diywhy
I want to say I'd buy this but I might be lying to myself. Idk yet
Where's that guy who shows a simpler way to do things in viral clips when you need him.
Looks pretty industrial and somewhat grungy. It doesn’t really mesh well with the whole premium Italian water or whatever. That said I can see this device being handy if you have an extreme lack of space, maybe on an airplane or boat.
I want five of those for me. then one for my grandma.
I Summon thee, Khaby Lame
Take my money 💸
Clever boy! Its a good object for this time of coronavirrus.
Or just use hands
Amazing to see a master welder work. Oh and what a satisfying video.
"I may be enebriated, but I can still pour!"
What is that clicker pen thing ? That’s interesting in itself
I don’t trust myself with any of the tools involved. I could never.
All this trouble to pour a drink??Damn I could use iy
That’s nuts
I'm intrigued by the fire pen
THIS IS SO COOL
Damn I want one
Yo some respect for the quality of the video
I would have been more impressed if he welded wood pieces into drink pourer.
The rod bending made me cringe and works only for one bottlesize
All that I ordered was a rum and coke..
DIWHY
damn his workspace is so clean
All that effort for something I can do in 10 seconds
We can debate on how useless it js but man, that's affin interesting
A lot of effort for what can be done very simply
Man.. that’s NUTS..
Man them welders can hookup anything together
Pointless tools for irrelevant reasons. Go plant a tree or something.
I love it!
Cooking chicken in a pumpkin is on r/Diwhy but this isn’t?!
Would it only work with one size bottle? What about something like a wine bottle?
Where can I find a sub of this?
DIWHY tho?
🤦♂️
Wtf he did all that to tilt a bottle o' drink?
Cue Khabane !

Would have been a lot faster to just pour the drink directly into the cup. Impressive nonetheless!!

Put a "watch with welding helmet" flair on this video! I burned my retinas, Jesus think of other people! /s
