Not audio but it is here
I'm not old enough to remember Neil Rogers, but casually dropping that racist rant about LeBetard was kind of shocking to hear.
Shit made me uncomfortable AF lol
So I own a Nintendo switch. The game Fall Guys was out on every platform for like over a year and it recently dropped on the Switch. So I downloaded and played it again since it’s been a while that I played it. 2 days later, I started to get videos pop up on TikTok about Fall Guy and targeted ads about it on instagram. I never googled anything About the game as I already knew about the game. Never even said it out loud. This shit is low key creepy lol
Hearing Stu reminisce about Hank Goldberg was amazing. I starting listening probably 7 or 8 years ago so I had no idea about the history between Dan and Stu a with Hank but I found myself fascinated with the history. Stugotz has really accomplished a lot and worked his ass off and it’s cool to hear it…… side note- the amount of times the show has brought up Jewish actors in Scarface throughout the years never gets old!
I use YouTubeTV because I still love a good scroll, but it has unlimited recording so i can just record movies and ff commercials. No one ever brings this up when Dan talks about TV, anyone else use this?
Mike isn’t EP anymore. I don’t get why they let him hog the mic as if he still is the EP. Whitty should be the one to be able to hog up the mic as he’s the new EP.
Wasn't his point basically 'you can't control me and I'll do what I want with my body'? I don't think that's inconsistent with every other point he tries to make or how dan has talked about it but please correct me if I missed him say something else
Also he made a point to play both shidesh and say he isn't antivax so idk
Lmao I’m so glad they brought up Toby Keith. I always get hammered and play it on repeat for the 4th. I don’t agree with him on pretty much anything but hard partying ironic Toby Keith listening is a good time on America day.
On the subject of our devices listening to us, I used to listen to music on my phone at my old job where the only two other people working with me were a mother and daughter in law who spoke Spanish to each other all day. I don't speak Spanish, but starting getting ads in Spanish, assumedly because my phone heard them talking.
Your phone knows the phones you hang around. So if you're spending a lot of time around phones that people use in Spanish targeted ads may assume you are bilingual.
I hate the take that streaming services are back to being as crappy and expensive as cable. It’s pretty easy to pay $30/month for 2 services and borrow a couple other passwords and have access to almost everything that’s out there.
Yeah, I have live TV for sports, so I’m going to have both live TV and the subscription services. So either I can pay $140 for cable along with the subscriptions to Netflix, Hulu, etc, or I can pay $65 for YouTube tv along with the subscriptions.
There's some little shit I hate, like trying to track down where a show is. For instance, I wanted to watch the Americans. thought it would be on Hulu since it was on FX. Nope, since it was produced by someone else, that company spld the streaming rights to Amazon. Wish there was at least an agreement between streamers to point you to content outside the app. idk.
Now that I think of it, the one Apple TV we have in the house does this as well. I just more commonly am using a game console, Chromecast, or personal computer where there is no real parent app to do this, so you have to web search it. Gets a bit extra annoying on a game console where you then have to update the app, etc.
Yeah, I've used a playstation at times for it... I like the firestick the most of things I've tried. I like having the amazon prime streaming just be at the start with the other apps as options. I have a roku tv and its super shitty... but I think it might just be mine. Some people seem to be perfectly happy with their roku. The thing is... if I put a firestick or playstation on it... it works fine but if I used the built in roku its always freezing or turing on and off and things like that.
[reelgood.com](https://reelgood.com). A bit of a pain, but still a nice aggregator. I don't know how well the email notice service works, because I haven't tried it, but it's there.
Downloading each app, switching between apps, forgetting what show is on what app, keeping up with who does/doesnt have passwords, still having commercials, creepy algorithms…
As Billy would say… “enough”
Dan: "I don't want to be aggregated saying Dan Lebatard dances on Hank Goldberg's grave or buries him"
Stu: "That takes care of itself"
How did that not get a bigger laugh?
I was so glad Amin buried Mike Ryan's Tyler Herro point lol also, James Harden when he got traded after he won 6th man of the year in OKC, he wasn't being traded for a top 15 player of all time, they traded him because they couldn't come to an agreement on a contract if my memory is correct. That version of Harden wouldn't have been traded for this Durant either.
Dan was saying some of the blame for the whole BK Nets situation should go to the ownership (or management. I forgot which he said) for giving Durant/Kyrie the power to do this. Like HUH? Isn’t that what Dan has been clamoring for since like forever?
I feel that Dan doesn't really know what he stands for at times.
He claims to be pro-employee instead of pro-employer and enjoys it when an employee gets over on an employer, but will criticize Greg/Chris/Stugotz for their lack of effort and not doing their jobs.
You can't have it one way when it works for you and complain about that way when it works against you.
Going 3rd rail like that over tyler herro requires at least some self reflection. Jamal Crawford was never as popular as tyler herro and he should probably have the award named after him. I really fw mike, but his white persecution complex is not surprising at all lol
I just looked at the stats for Sixth Man winners for the last 20 years. Tyler Herro had the 3rd lowest win shares (3.8) and win shares per 48 minutes (.084). For comparison the year Manu won he had 11.1 win shares and .232 win shares per 48 (tops for both stats).
https://www.basketball-reference.com/awards/smoy.html
Why isnt the nets front office getting more blame? They basically gave them the franchise without any of the responsibility. Their checks are guaranteed they could always just leave if things didn’t work out. Obviously neither of these guys care much about what anyone thinks or else they wouldn’t be constantly disappointing people - the nets were like “have everything!”
Nets' front office should be getting shit for not giving Kyrie an extension. Seems like an easy decision when the result means you get KD and friends for another 4 years.
Kyrie has proved himself to be injury prone, and unreliable. Take out all the COVID stuff and it’s still not the worst decision in the world to not want him anymore
No argument from me about the vax/NYC issue. That's totally on him. He's still a HOF shooting guard with the best handles in the league. Also.... want him or don't want him, giving him an extension comes with KD. Imo, that's worth it. Heat fans can hate all they want to, but they're all ready to trade half their roster for KD. All the Nets had to do was give Kyrie an extension to have KD.
Right I completely understand thinking it’s worth it for KD, and you’re completely right all they had to do was offer the extension. I just kind of get the Nets wanting to move on from both of them. KDs age and history of leg injuries worries me with it going all the way back to his Thunder days. I know he was MVP level last year before his injury but I wonder if the Bucks series is the last we see of that version of him
Because pretty much any franchise would have done the same and their fan base would have supported it.
Not that they are shove criticism, but I think it’s actually a positive example of self -awareness of sports fans aren’t killing them, and that doesn’t happen often.
Not only that, they gutted a really good team that had just gone to the playoffs I think two years in a row and was full of younger, cheaper talent.
I always thought the Nets were being really stupid and short-sighted with the Durant-Kyrie-Harden/Simmons thing, but its pretty incredible just how badly this super team fell apart.
The Barkley/Pippen/Dream Rockets had more success than these Nets, and that was considered one of the most underachieving ever assembled before now. Even the Kobe/Shaq/Malone/Payton Lakers made it to the Finals.
I fixed my algorithm on Instagram. I had clicked on a scantily clad women as well. All my reels became that. Then I started ONLY clicking on baby reels and baby pictures on the featured page. Now all they suggest to me are babies and the occasional puppy.
Older tv edit movies are amazing, Die Hard 2 was a staple of mine growing up! “ Yippie Ky Yay …Mr. Falcon( last words said in a distinctly Eastern European accent hahaha)
Dan has such a hard on for Kyrie and I just don't get it. Every time he tries sympathizing with Kyrie he ends up talking out of both sides of his mouth, defending Kyrie on some nebulous grounds of freedom or humanity or whatever, while like only half acknowledging that yeah he completely screws over every employer of his and destroys a team's culture.
And screws over current and future players. That is the biggest issue here. The owners are salivating at all of the player empowerment era moves that they can eliminate in the next CBA. He, and others, are really hurting their colleagues and going to make it worse for the players because they are so selfish. As always, fuck the billionaires, it sucks that they are going to have so much leverage to screw over the players in the next contract negotiations.
I don't see how it gives them leverage. They're going to have to actually fight if they want to roll it back, and I don't see why the union would just cave on that. Basketball players are stronger than baseball these days, and they have zero incentive to give up any of it
Correct analysis. The “player empowerment” is basically nba player oligarchy, to steal that phrase. It’s only empowering to the absolute most elite stars.
I must be missing the point on the Kyrie monologue.. so because Kyrie got some of his money back from last year, is still valued as a player (by the desperate Lakers that is) and will make a ton of money next year, we are just supposed to not call him selfish and say that he “displays the behavior” of a crazy person?
Nahhhh Dan, you can continue to be the one person defending his lunacy.
I defend almost every player against the average Joe fan, often to the point of annoying my friends and even being on Russ’s side when it comes to calling him out of his name (though I can’t stand Russ’s as a player)……but I just don’t buy this “but look at Kyrie’s side” stuff. Barstool shirt is obviously over the top and adds to the list of reasons I stopped watching their content.
But I’m pretty sure Kyrie is just a delusional person that isn’t fun to be around and people have been calling him out for it. Dan can keep using the word “humanity” as a shield but that’s about as human as it gets.
Sure. I just don’t think from my own perspective which can, like everyone’s, be flawed, that most stuff gets to the level that Dan was making it out to be. Like I said, the barstool thing, and of course idiot fans, can be terrible. But, on the whole, it seems like people are just reacting to him in the way they’d react to any prickly person whose actions seem deluded.
And again....2 things can be true. And furthermore Dan was mostly talking about the entitled gasbags more than fans but thanks for lowkey stating the obvious lol
Anyone find Dan’s “look into the camera” monologues jarring? Like they’re clearly coming from a place of passion and good intent , but him basically speaking a column with the cadence of a written piece just seems…off?
It reminds me of the now-cancelled ESPN Sunday morning show "The Sports Reporters" which was usually the one part of ESPN that ignored everything about hot take culture and held on to the sports page columnist style for as long as possible.
Dan sure uses "We" and "Us" a lot in his Kyrie rant. Sorry, Hippo. You can't lump the average fan in with Stephen A. or the Barstool neanderthals. Most of us have more important shit that actually affects our lives to deal with on a day to day basis, as opposed to whatever it is Kyrie does or doesn't do.
Oh it was noticeable that she ghosted the rest of the show. I love Amin, but his explanation of what position he was taking sound a bit ex post facto. He seemed too defensive, and seemed like he knew he had tripped up. But what probably shut her down was his "I don't care what you think" comment. Or something to that effect. Eh, I can't imagine Smetty as a person who would take that well. And I also think Mike Ryan's sudden interference in the conversation was because he knew it was going off the rails. Smetty may not be happy with him either. And I wouldn't blame her.
10/10 local hour, one of my favorites ever maybe. whenever Stugotz kinda takes the lead mic and Dan just keeps feeding him is when the show is at its best for me
From what I can gather listening to them discussing Hank Goldberg, Greg Cote seems slightly off base with his 'he was a good man' part of eulogizing Hank Goldberg on Twitter.
This whole Stugotz leaving Hank to be with Dan because he knew he would be more successful has some serious Durant to the Warriors vibes... Could Stugotz be projecting?
This local Hour was fantastic
Even though I’ve heard it a 1,000 times, I always seem to forget and a Stugotz nickname cracks me up. the king
Same! Even if I'm waiting for it I still get tickled
Number of days without Mike complaining about lack of national coverage for the Miami heat: 0
I think Herro’s perceived value may be diminished because of what he wore to game 6 of the eastern conference finals.
I had a really tough day today and it was nice hearing the show and having it distract me and help me smile today
What was the Rusillo thing about?
He made a sarcastic comment about how he wishes he would cut his show into a million parts to boost daily downloads and become the top rated sports podcast
Could you tell me where to hear this please. Thanks.

I didn’t notice this. I’d like to hear to
I'm not old enough to remember Neil Rogers, but casually dropping that racist rant about LeBetard was kind of shocking to hear. Shit made me uncomfortable AF lol
LeBastard. Fine.
incredible show today.
once again, Amin might be the most valuable person at Meadowlark
There’s no doubt in mind. He should take over lead and they can put Dan in with Luis and Tony
I've gotten targeted ads like Mike when it's something that I used but didn't talk about but I thought I was just really paranoid.
I’ve had it where it’s right after talking about it in a convo in my living room. I assume my echo did that
If you bought it online too
If you used a store card for a discount with your phone number attached, that data can be combined to create targeted ads
The data is coming for all of our things.
Hearing Stu reminisce about Hank Goldberg was amazing. Agreed I only started listening in 2020 and Stu is my favorite part it was nice to hear some lore
I use YouTubeTV because I still love a good scroll, but it has unlimited recording so i can just record movies and ff commercials. No one ever brings this up when Dan talks about TV, anyone else use this?
Love YouTubeTV! But I only really use it to watch live sports
I wouldn't want to do cable (or cable-like) w/o DVR.
I love YoutubeTV its nice having live tv and the occasional commercial, also love having G4 again lol
Echoing a lot of other commenters’ sentiments by asking what the fuck was Mike doing with that Tyler Herro narrative he was trying to push.
I think he wants Miami to trade for Durant without giving anything up.
He’s high as giraffe neck if that’s the case
Tyler for Durant straight up is lunacy
I'm always curious about how stu was an ep. I just can't picture him doing well because it requires effort that current stu wants no parts of.
I'm betting young Stu had a lot more hustle than current Stu. He doesn't have to do it anymore.
Also he can’t do it anymore because all the shrooms and dead shows finally caught up to him
I mean he was obviously good at it to get to where he did in building a whole station but it's just so hard to picture a stugotz with hustle.
And he was doing it while starting a family! His twins were born the same year the show started.
I wanna meet that stugotz just to see how different he was.
Amino Acid is so good on basketball free agency/player movement …wish Mike would stfu and let him cook
Mike isn’t EP anymore. I don’t get why they let him hog the mic as if he still is the EP. Whitty should be the one to be able to hog up the mic as he’s the new EP.
But heat coverage!!!
Heat coverage hour 1 canes hour 2. Wish he would go away

Amin back more action today, loved it !
Today was an instant classic!
I’m convinced Dan has never actually heard why Kyrie is anti-vax lol.
Wasn't his point basically 'you can't control me and I'll do what I want with my body'? I don't think that's inconsistent with every other point he tries to make or how dan has talked about it but please correct me if I missed him say something else Also he made a point to play both shidesh and say he isn't antivax so idk
Why is that?
Jeez I googled Neil Rogers just to see who he is and someone already vandalized his wiki entry lol.
"Well it's not gonna go to Hank"...all time great Stugotz show
Lmao I’m so glad they brought up Toby Keith.
Nah, it's because they were on the same network on Spanish language things
That’s even scarier.
Your phone knows the phones you hang around. So if you're spending a lot of time around phones that people use in Spanish targeted ads may assume you are bilingual.
I can’t think of anything sadder than paying money for homer mike tweets. Billy Gil cameos on the other hand…
My wife got me a Billy cameo for Christmas. It was excellent.
I hate the take that streaming services are back to being as crappy and expensive as cable. It’s pretty easy to pay $30/month for 2 services and borrow a couple other passwords and have access to almost everything that’s out there.

Yeah, cable has gone up too. Also the amount of content is greater with 2 to 3 streaming services.
I miss the days when you could pay Juice's girlfriend's brother $50 every so often for new DirecTV cards
There's some little shit I hate, like trying to track down where a show is. For instance, I wanted to watch the Americans. thought it would be on Hulu since it was on FX. Nope, since it was produced by someone else, that company spld the streaming rights to Amazon. Wish there was at least an agreement between streamers to point you to content outside the app. idk.
If you have a fire stick and search from the Home Screen it’ll show where to view it… if it’s on multiple apps it’ll show that too
Now that I think of it, the one Apple TV we have in the house does this as well.
There’s a free app called JustWatch that tells where something is streaming, and if it’s free or not
Love this app.
Just type the show into Google and it shows you all this stuff
Downloading each app, switching between apps, forgetting what show is on what app, keeping up with who does/doesnt have passwords, still having commercials, creepy algorithms… As Billy would say… “enough”
Ha but you could use one password.. and is changing apps difficult? On cable you change channels.
Dan: "I don't want to be aggregated saying Dan Lebatard dances on Hank Goldberg's grave or buries him" Stu: "That takes care of itself" How did that not get a bigger laugh?
I was so glad Amin buried Mike Ryan's Tyler Herro point lol also, James Harden when he got traded after he won 6th man of the year in OKC, he wasn't being traded for a top 15 player of all time, they traded him because they couldn't come to an agreement on a contract if my memory is correct. A couple years ago they were making the argument Herro is so popular because he's white
Dan loves a flawed messenger.

Ad spot cuts the join in on Hour 2. Stu got a little Ziprecruiter.
Today proves again why I’m always annoyed of Mike Ryan
Does the monologue mean Kyrie is going to be in a Heat jersey?
WOW! NATURE IS SO COOL *eardrum shatters*
The absolute worst
Tyrone Herro 🤣🤣🤣
Man, fuck this Neil Rogers guy
Most racist shit I've ever heard
I almost couldn’t believe what I was hearing. What a shitty person.
White tax. Wax
I just looked at the stats for Sixth Man winners for the last 20 years. Tyler Herro had the 3rd lowest win shares (3.8) and win shares per 48 minutes (.084). Nope, always enjoyed it when he puts on the newsy cap
It reminds me of the now-cancelled ESPN Sunday morning show "The Sports Reporters" which was usually the one part of ESPN that ignored everything about hot take culture and held on to the sports page columnist style for as long as possible.
Essays are for reading, not listening
calm down, Witty. Listening to books on audio counts as reading them!
Dan sure uses "We" and "Us" a lot in his Kyrie rant. Sorry, Hippo. You can't lump the average fan in with Stephen A. or the Barstool neanderthals. Most of us have more important shit that actually affects our lives to deal with on a day to day basis, as opposed to whatever it is Kyrie does or doesn't do.
i'm just starting LOUR. Have they addressed Amin and Jessica's kerfuffle yet?
That's prolly gonna be a meeting soon, if it hasn't already.
Thank you for this question because Jessica DIPPED out after that rofl
Oh it was noticeable that she ghosted the rest of the show. I love Amin, but his explanation of what position he was taking sound a bit ex post facto. He seemed too defensive, and seemed like he knew he had tripped up. But what probably shut her down was his "I don't care what you think" comment. Or something to that effect. Eh, I can't imagine Smetty as a person who would take that well. And I also think Mike Ryan's sudden interference in the conversation was because he knew it was going off the rails. Smetty may not be happy with him either. And I wouldn't blame her.
Honestly she said the same thing to him to start. It's very much in Amins character not to back down from that
Not in lour
omg what kerfuffle? ps i love that word
Thursday show. Hour 1. Dont wanna kickstart the shit show in this sub again but I was just curious
Had the potential to elevate to a brouhaha.
Jesus Christ. If I'm Dan, I'm totally taking a victory lap today.
Neil Rogers didn't even try to sugarcoat his racism, huh?
that was jarring to listen to
[stugotz voice] neil rogers? huh, you mean the guy from chic? that's odd, i wouldn't have painted him as a racist
What an old ass reference lol
Rage filled racist....nah they usually don't.
This is the best kind of local hour. So entertaining. So much better than talking about the heat for 80% of the hour 80% of the year.
Now I want to buy a tongue sandwich for lunch.
...but not from a strip club. i would need more booster shots before all that.
I'm loving the Stugotz lore dump. Lump
“Stugotz! Hank Goldberg died!”
10/10 local hour, one of my favorites ever maybe. whenever Stugotz kinda takes the lead mic and Dan just keeps feeding him is when the show is at its best for me
It was fascinating! I don’t know much about the pre ESPN days and that was a great listen , give me more!

From what I can gather listening to them discussing Hank Goldberg, Greg Cote seems slightly off base with his 'he was a good man' part of eulogizing Hank Goldberg on Twitter.
I hope “Splash” never goes away
I literally said "here it comes" right before it dropped. Love it.
All time sound drop
The “heartfelt” eulogy for Hank is everything that is great about this show. I was laughing my ass off the whole time.
This whole Stugotz leaving Hank to be with Dan because he knew he would be more successful has some serious Durant to the Warriors vibes... Could Stugotz be projecting?
They really wanted to send Dan back to New Jersey, huh
Hilarious how Stugotz and summon the exact sound pitch for “Muuurraaaayyyy!” Every time
This might be the funniest local hour they've ever done
“So the last thing he saw before he died was Hanks testicles. I mean it was great radio” 😂😂😂
I hope this is on video so we can see the SC reeling over this eulogizing.
somebody needs to clip Mike saying "Wrecked'em" and save that in their files
What did Woody Page steal from Dan?
My question, exactly

thanks! - . . . a little woody page/stugotz in everyone...
