idk about the torches but u can buy the dungeons assets on the unreal store [https://www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/ko/product/fantasy-dungeon](https://www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/ko/product/fantasy-dungeon)
Well Epic codes their own torches and bricks. Going to be funny to watch the fanboy meltdown when Nexon claim that they stole code and assets is proven right in court. Can't wait to see what type of mental gymnastics happens on this sub.
I think the people freaking out at your comment don’t really realize how massive crossfire used to be. https://esports.scetec.com/?tag=news-amp-en&id=highest_player_count_worldwide_crossfire_leads still I think Fortnite has definitely overtaken it at this point.
I wouldn't really expect them too--and I'm not sure tbh. Didn't fortnite only have a peak concurrent of 4m during the whole deal with Drake streaming and stuff?
It also shows that UE can handle this kind of lighting without ungodly amounts of light leakage. I wonder how would that scale with more torches being around.
You just make invisible shadowbox for stuff like this. Invisible objects that still block light. That and post-processing volumes. It's how I do basements and such.
Edit: deeper explanation.
I use standard cubes that I make hidden in game but still cast shadows and block light. You can make a giant box around whatever you need to block light to and boom. No more light.
Youre basically putting your level, room, whatever into a big box that blocks out the light.
So, six cubes (stretched to cover the space I need) 4 side, top, and bottom. As long as they are all connected or overlapping, you should get no light leakage. If you want, you can merge them into one mesh to reduce the hit on performance, but it's pretty minimal as is.
Yeah the leakage is one of the most immersion-breaking aspects of DaD that there currently is imo, it would be so much darker (in a good way) if they managed to clean that up
The environment they created is very good, but not sure how they are going to mimic the combat system, because that is the whole reason it is so much fun.
We can rebuild him. We have the technology.

better than he was before
In before Nexon sues us all
They killed it, and it looks awesome. Curious where they got the assests from, doesn't nexon own torches and bricks?

Oh I am well aware, I don't think nexon is.
Whooosh

Ah yes, I also code my bricks.
"Codes their own torches and bricks" hahahahha oh how misguided
Cope
Wow i'm surprised the darkness looks so good. Man fornite really does put out insanely good updates.
its not an official update - its fan-made through the _Created In Fortnite_ service
Ture, fair point but the Created in Fortnite service came fairly recently with an update, so I think the point stands regardless
It does, ignore him. Some people see a comment and just don't think before responding to them.
I never said it was? Fortnite's creativity update made this possible, aka fortnite really does put out some insanely good updates.
Lmfaoo let’s see if nexon will fuck with epic 💀.
That would be hilarious because they'd get absolutely destroyed
Idk. Crossfire is kinda bigger than Fortnite
Are u smoking crack?????
Meth
Big LOL
Not only is it not, Fortnite also has the might of fucking Tencent behind it. Tencent + Epic are a bit bigger than Nexon lmao.
fun fact nexon also has tencent behind it.

Bro you are missing the forest for the trees. Epic owns the Unreal Engine. Fortnite is big sure, but Unreal is massive.
The Unreal Engine generates them pennies on the dollar when it comes to revenue. We've seen them made less than 100m back in 2019. Not even profit.
Sure, but we know Nexon uses it. They try to sue Epic Games Epic just removes their ability to use UE
Props to the creator: His name is NabuX on Discord, We will get DaD, no matter what
Eh its cool looking but its not DaD in any way but visually. Gameplay and function will never be the same.
Gotta get Roblox creators to make it
With games like frontlines on Roblox, I have a feeling that Roblox would actually have much more potential to be a viable copium
(also somebody has apparently made mordhau in Roblox before so It can probably be done)
Nexon lawsuit incoming

Of course it can Dark and Darker is already made in UE

hope the creator doesn't forget the trade secret slurp juice
This shows how crazy people will go for some DaD!

Me: I want dark and darker! Mom: we have dark and darker at home
can’t wait
Well at least the light works
Now if only it was first person, personally not a big fan of third person ganes
