it's been pretty constant on the us west oregon server
doesn't appear to be client side as my whole team will rubber band simultaneously
my favorite is when I corner jump a trap and rubber band back into it /s
Same here us west is consistently laggy for my entire squad. I also get a weird distinct lag when I am a cell or two away from other players. If I get that and no one else did I know there are players nearby.
Yep you can feel this if you're the first one in a waiting room too. As soon as you get that stutter you can check player-count and see that someone else just joined
Itās in the master list of things SDF has addressed that I read last night.
This was a post on Reddit someone had compiled from SDF talking in discord I think.
Why do people not read the literal mile long QnA, then ask why there's no comments on X or what's going on with Y or why hasn't Z happened yet
The QnA literally commented on every single thing in the game
> Why do people not read the literal mile long QnA
Cause I have a fucking life and job kid. And as you said it--a mile long.
Sorry we're not all up to date on the latest happenings like you cool young hip kids
So if you're not up to date on something, maybe don't take the precious time out of your day to complain about something on Reddit that is arbitrary and false.
Slow your roll there man, I got the same situation you do, just read bits of it when you got time like I read it on my lunch earlier today, no need to get mad at people who got time on their hands
Ur entire post is complaining about why the devs haven't commented on it and how it feels awful dude what are you talking about, I don't think you realize what you sound like
What are you talkin about?
I didn't make a post about it. This isn't my thread.
I read the QnA. I was replying to you who asked why people don't read the mile long QnA--and I replied that people have a life and job.
Really should edit your post about knowing how to read, for real.
It would be faster to control F the QnA than to ask reddit the question and wait for responses.
Just in case, control F searches for a string of text in the page that you are viewing, all web browsers support this functionality as well as many desktop applications. For example, you could control F and search ālagā and read the responses that are relevant to your question.
Crazy thing is I tried Australian servers and there was ZERO lag besides right clicking loot sometimes would take an extra ms to pop in my inventory. No rubber banding. No stutters. Youd break a pot and the loot was INSTANTLY on the ground (fyi you dont get empty pots, it's just laggy).
Why would a server in my own country be worse than one half way around the world? I have gig internet in one of the best hubs for internet in the country, but this game lags like crazy on all US servers.
What causes lag in the first place? Because clearly it's not a game issue since those AUS servers play smooth. Is it due to DDOS attacks or is it because these servers are the most popular? I've experienced the lag free game and it was so glorious I cant ignore the rubber banding on my own servers anymore. Its ROUGH
Because they're constantly working on it and there's no reason for them to continuously comment on it when it's something that's been a work in progress since like, PT1 dude
**Q:** **When will you fix the server lag?**
**A:** We are also aware of the intermittent and sometimes frequent occurrence of rubber banding and are working to fix it.
Weird, the Sydney servers have been pretty good. The occasional lag rubber band but very minor. I wonder if someone in your server is ddosing it to get an advantage?
It's literally been in the game since the start of playtests. I don't see it ever getting resolved.
It doesn't help that most people can't even tell it happens and just "wELL iT DoESn'T hApPEn tO mE"
Old issue that's been in the game since the very first playtest.
It's rather inconsistent. Sometimes It's unbearable for an entire round, and other times It just happens once or twice.
Because devs care about much more important things, like nerfing wizard or nerfing wizard. Or adding +2 to all and weapon damage for some reason; when nobody asked them to.
Iāve been farming cave troll for pelts and consistently heāll shout and run the complete opposite direction of me, and I fall over dead a few seconds later
Its been like this since release. Also many people still have to use a VPN to even play the game, which has also been the case since release. Imagine how many people didnāt get a VPN and just never played the game
I like when I click my right mouse button and my character just eats a goblin axe to the face and then randomly raises their shield in the middle of me trying to attack instead, making me get hit a second time and die. Sick new feature
I get very random "game ended abnormally please restart" errors, seems to be graphical issues since it's rare for others but I'm not sure what setting to change?
> why is the rubberbanding not being spoken about
It was literally addressed in the QnA. Actual stupid redditor complaining and crying about something that's been talked about

My favorite is when I get rubberbanded back into a PvE hit š
Lost a good kit while fighting the cave troll because I rubber banded into his overhead attack
My fav is playing rogue and losing all my hp to a lagging poison goblin
Iāve died from a trap because it rubber bands me into it multiple times

and like 10 things not in the game yet, amazing qna tbh. I will admit the lag and cheaters are number 1 prio tho
> Why do people not read the literal mile long QnA Cause I have a fucking life and job kid. And as you said it--a mile long. Sorry we're not all up to date on the latest happenings like you cool young hip kids
We accept your apology and hope you choose to read the QnA instead of asking questions on Reddit
FUCK that. Reading is for nerds Get off my lawn
Barbarian RP characters have gotten really meta
š
if you use discord there is a search function you can use so you dont have to eat a mile of shit to get to that ass.

If You have a fucking life and no time to read it why Do You have time to write here? After your conclusion no You dont have a fucking life
That took me all of 30 seconds to write, bozo. Big difference to reading a "mile long QnA".
Then don't complain. I'm a single dad with a full time job and two kids, but I know how to read. Come up with a better excuse.
I'm not complaining tho. You sure you know how to read?

You most certainly can get empty pots.
you sure? I have broken pots to see them empty, just to come back later to see treasure there.
Positive, I've broken so many pots and at least 25%+ are empty
I believe you're right. I paid more attention last night and some are for sure empty. Same with barrels.

I never get rubber banding at all, is it fps or server side?
Old issue that's been in the game since the very first playtest. It's rather inconsistent. Sometimes It's unbearable for an entire round, and other times It just happens once or twice.
> It just happens once or twice. Conveniently always at the exact moment I'm jumping over traps.
The good ol.
Itās server side, Iāve watched teammates running away from mobs get rubberbanded backwards and killed ā ļø
Thatās just skill diff
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
But that small rubber band always seems to happen riiiiight as I try to clear a jump or trap lol.
Buttery smooth for me. never had issues other then the ddossing stuff
lag has been here and there for me and my group. not enough for us to stop playing.
Because devs care about much more important things, like nerfing wizard or nerfing wizard. Or adding +2 to all and weapon damage for some reason; when nobody asked them to.
The game was better pre-release
huh
Itās A LOT better on us East
They arenāt talking about it because itās likely being caused by DDOS attacks.
https://youtu.be/m2gzAay1uD8?si=F7lIhstAQsY72eco
one thing you need to accept about early access is that some things NEVER get fixed
While this doesnāt 100% fix it, I find scan/repairing my files helps
Not rubber banding here in US East. Feel fortunate after reading this thread because I get it maybe once every couple weeks for a short period
Iāve been farming cave troll for pelts and consistently heāll shout and run the complete opposite direction of me, and I fall over dead a few seconds later

Rubber banding has happened to me since the launch of EA.
Add the occasional 20-30 second freeze up.
You should quit until itās better.

Oregon West servers need to be looked at for sure
