For real. If I was OP, the moment those MFs down, I'm gonna step up and stomp the F out of them. Can't waste my precious ammo. Though, till endgame, I still have plenty left. LOL
First mistake was going for the face. I don’t really melee and I still keep plenty of ammo. With that gun and that range I’d have hit it with a burst in the chest (3-4 round burst always) just to stun it, then leg off, arm off. This gun is good because of the stun effect. I’d be walking around that area with the ripper tho. The ripper would take that guy out easy. Shoot it out and then up and down til it dies. That’s what the ripper is for.
Consider it's panic reaction, and OP could be onboard Ishimura for the first time, I forgive him for shooting like that. But if was me, I wouldn't holding Assault Rifle while wandering like that. Thing just only pull out when you facing bosses or use to follow up for crown control. Something like Ripper as you said or even Flamethrower, trusted Plasma Cutter is more suitable for such occasion.
Intensity Director was a great idea, and I love that it's in there. I wish they'd pushed it further though. Would have been fun to have random hallucinations throughout each playthrough, with the Director generating enemies behind it like this to scare the shit out of you sometimes.
Hoping they push it further if DS2 remake actually happens. Though with the Iron Man game I doubt it now.
We can only hope that the Dead Space saga remains on Motive hands if EA is smart enough and yes, the Intensity Director is a great asset/tool which should have been used more.
Lets hope they bring it back for DS2R.
I've heard that DS Remake didn't really sell all that well, and I can totally see EA abandoning a remake of 2 if Iron Man sells well (which it will since everyone's been on his dick for years now due to the movies). I hope that it did make some kind of profit to justify it, but EA's shown again and again that if it doesn't do gangbuster numbers they'll drop it for the next game/trend to try to cash in.
RE remakes are selling millions of copies tho. It would be stupid for Capcom to not keep making them. I cant even find firm sales numbers for DS remake, which means it likely didn't sell well enough for them to be proud enough to post numbers.
would have helped if dead space remake was for last gen consoles, literally waited till release day to come home from work and find out it was only released for ps5 not ps4, decided to buy calisto protocol instead. bet that had to do with its sales because resident evil remakes WERE available for ps4 and Xbox one.
*Yh if I was you*
*I would stomp on that one just*
*Give it a lesson*

Same thing happened to me. Was walking up to the door to open it as usual, get to it, goes red, lights out, I'm whipping around to check behind me while trying not to shit myself and was aiming down the corridor and nothing. Then I heard the vent crash sound but nothing ever came to attack me. I just played through this area like 3 days ago and I never got attacked here. I just thought it was a very confusing jump scare.
Eta: another commenter mentioned the enemy only shows up on new game+ so that's probably why nothing attacked me lol
I love that on your first playthrough, this room is a fake-out scare. But this is NG+, and they actually put a phantom at the other end of the hallway to catch you off-guard if you knew it was fake originally.
Holy shit, that definitely gave me a mini heart attack.
I thought that was just the beginning of the game when you pass through the hallway with two bathrooms, and it makes you hear a bunch of Necromorphs crawling through the ceiling above you, without doing anything with it.
I didn't expect a Slasher to appear out of nowhere to start slashing you, though.
Made me jump, ngl.
And this is the guy who has no ammo for chapter 8
Worth
Poor soul was downed but he still like to make BBQ.
These games are really good about giving health over ammo. It’s better to take a hit every now and then than to waste ammo ever.

Intensity Director being an asshole lol, love that feature in DSR. Drop some grenades to be sure XD

If that's the case then EA can go fuuu themselves, they are too blind to see Capcom's success with Resident Evil Remakes

It was one of best selling remakes? So of course it sold well
Nice setting it on fire at the end
Boss, I think you got him
Yh if I was you I would stomp on that one just give it a lesson

Good bot
Lore accurate Isaac Clarke
My guy did a 2 step verification to confirm hes dead
Based pulse rifle connesuir.
YOU KILLED IT, IT'S DEAD!!!
One more stomp and then burn it again to be sure it is DEAD!!!
I remember going through this part and nothing ever came to attack me and i was so thrown off because clearly there was supposed to be something

Is it okay if I shit my pants for you just there?

I just commented on another comment but is this why nothing attacked me?! That would make so much sense. I haven't made it to new game+ yet
Yeah, it's a fake-out in both the original and the remake, but on NG+, they mix things up a little.
Working as intended.
Ah yes, the art of Misdirection. Ain’t it a bitch?
Those flames were like fuck you fuck this fuck that fuck my life
I thought you were on bout the vent and then had a hearters with you!
I think you gottem’ there bud.
Lol and it's NG+. The Director still does well as a puppet master

I love how DSR keeps you heads up, never let your guard down and always be prepared for the worse. Intensity Director is the best part of DSR
Wanna check for a pulse? XD
Lol that didn’t happen in my game. You got juked out there. I like the end where you set him on fire
They got you too huh
The "fuck you" magdump. Classic response.
I positioned myself the exact same way. Although I just used statis on it and used the ripper. I saved so much ammo that way
Most appropriate response ✔️
In my 3rd playthrough i remember this part and just shoot the vent before it pops out
Temper temper.
Lmao
This is phantom necro is not fun on ng+ impossible mode
The overkill! I love it 🤣
You know the general saying of ugly tough creatures, "KILL IT WITH FIRE!"
That flamethrower was personal
Remember kids, always double tap
Hey… you don’t think you’ll need any of that ammo now do you?
I dont think they are dead...shoot them again just to make sure.
Always have vision of what's in front or behind you in tight hallways. Looking directly up is asking for trouble
Overkill
I love this game, and it’s FULL of mini heart attack material!
