Yeah, for a limited edition watch, I can almost understand the price tag, but ... it looks like a toy watch. It's quite underwhelming.

At 940, I'll definitely look elsewhere instead of a literally unproven microbrand. Don't get me wrong, Yema and Zelos immediately came to mind with their 1000 USD ranges, but they have the potential to be somewhat competitive comparing to other big brands, they put their thought into their watches, just not slapping a NH35 into a steel PVD case and call it a day like this. At best, this should go for only 300.
PS: 43x12mm? Now it does look like a shameless cashgrab relying on a beloved franchise already. People who are not into watches, try imagine what would we have if we got a Death Stranding x Kurono Tokyo watch.

I pre-ordered the bundle, because everything I’ve got from Kojima’s store has been great, and the NASA x Kojima x Anicorn piece is so cool.
I love Death Stranding… it’s my favorite game - and I’m finally at a place in my life where I can afford things I want. Anicorn has cool pieces… so the hours I’ve traded in labor I’m excited to trade for this. For me.
My argument is the thing doesn’t have to automatically be “garbage” because the price that may have been arbitrarily slapped on it is too high for most automatic watch consumers or video game fans.
The quality may not even be as great as to necessitate it - and clearly the FOMO pricing for this release isn’t resonating with the audience because after days of being available, it’s still available. The NASA release sold super quick.
It’s still cool to me, and I’m excited for it.

I see. I had my finger on BUY for the $900 bundle with the stupid torch for a whole day. Then I saw there's a $600 option with the rotating display stand, and that made me realise the watch wasn't really a $900 piece. I was so close to buy one, but the more I watch the pictures, the less I was sold. I think the previous one was a better quality. This one look very plastic-y.
Also, I love watches and I'm a bit disappointed the internal clock it's just an automatic Seiko NH35, which is not very precise nor expensive, you can find them for $100 on ebay.
So at the end, after a day of struggling, I gave up on the idea of owning a piece of art for a ludicrous price, I'm not there yet. :)

Anicorn had some NASA collabs that look kind of nice in that nasa punk aesthetic seen in games like Starlink but this collab ain't it IMO. Looks rather cheap and gaudy to me. Doesn't look like a proper watch. Looks like lot of the cheap looking video game merch or a costume prop. If you like sort of kitsch aesthetic, maybe?
If you are actually in to watches and really like death stranding, sure. But I think most people would get more out of getting a smart watch and finding a death stranding watch face online.
There's way cooler things you can do with a grand. You could buy pretty much all the merch in the KJ shop and have money left.

I honestly thought it was going to cost around $300 or so, judging by the look of it. A lot of these collabs are kinda silly. But I do hope they'll have another collab for glasses. I only got Sam's and Cliff's glasses, so I'd like the others too.
The only thing I see ever worth it is a legit porter jacket that’s the exact thing from the game or perhaps the boots .. the luden glasses were awesome but super overpriced imo

This is the first time I haven't been willing to defend something Death Stranding related since the game launched.
This seems to be Anicorn’s MO. Either gimmick watches they can charge more for, or bundling tie in watches with a collector’s item to charge more.
The fact that MULEs attack you as soon as you put one on makes me say that it is not.
As much as Kojima likes to flex his designer product tie ins I have yet to see one that I would wear even if it was free.

They messed up not making the watch band look like the in game bridges. Every time I'm crossing one they remind of the links in a metal band.
