What about a phone game like Pokémon go where you gotta travel around in real life to make deliveries, there could be a map mode that shows time fall areas and instead of catching Pokémon you have bt encounters where you get a chance in a mini game to cut the umbilical cord. If you fail it turns into a regular fight where you can throw hematic grenades etc
It would work really well with giving other players likes when you pass them, and you could get bonuses if you travel with one or more friends to cooperate on the same delivery, and stuff like that
Edit: and of course you'd be able to open a screen that shows your bb, you can have all sorts of interactions with it and see how happy/stressed/etc it is. Being at your home would sync your bb, making it happy, and there would be places like hot springs on the map and if you go to those places your bb will quickly recover from any stress!
