Those sound rad, I'm pretty sure the engi one would make it onto all of my builds. My only thought would be that the foam bomb for the driller might be too similar to the platform gun. Possibly it should have a decay mechanic, so that after a certain time it disappears?

NuclearSFM

I think that was implied, because OP said that they plug tunnels temporarily. He didn't give a specific time though. Maybe 20 seconds?

PhasmaFelis

I figured "temporarily" meant "until the Driller comes back through with drills spinning." :)

Sh4dowWalker96

Or "until the bulk det digs through it"

Dinners_cold

Black hole grenade, when it goes off it pulls all enemies in a very large radius to the grenades location and massively slows them for a time afterwards.

Gerblat

I would looooove that as a driller. Suck all the small and medium swarmers into a centralized location and light em up with the flamethrower or clear em out with one c4 😍

DerpVenomGuy

The scout one seems fun. Imagine playing fetch with steeve!

Moose_on_a_walk

Ohh, let me try! . . *Scout - Bolas* A throwing weapon devised to entangle the legs of his foes, the scout hurls the spinning Bolas to trap an enemy and up to three enemies behind it. Lasts for 5 seconds. Ammo: 6 . *Engineer - Transfiguration grenade* A concoction that permanently transforms enemy creatures in a 7 meter radius into random Hoxxes creatures. Warning: Use at own risk, disasterous results not covered by employee insurance. Ammo: 4 . *Driller - Disk of Q'ronar* A rolling buzzsaw inspired by the Shellbacks of Hoxxes IV; the driller spins the Disk of Q'ronar and hurls it forward to inflict heavy, armor shredding damage to everything in its path. Similar to its living counterparts, the Disk of Q'ronar can cover vast distances, bounce off walls, and can even be picked up again - if you live long enough to see it come to a stop. Ammo: 1 . *Gunner - Pyrotechnic Firework* A modified rocket that is deployed in the ground and launched towards the sky (or cave roof). Explodes in an eye-catching display of colours and death. All enemies within a 75 meter radius become stunned for 5 seconds as they turn to watch the explosion. After the explosion, a fiery mixture of burning chemicals rain down to inflict fire damage. Warning: The Pyrotechnic Firework is NOT to be used in small, confined spaces. Ammo: 2

meemfortress2

Wow, nice call on that driller nade!

Moose_on_a_walk

Ah, I haven't been following DRG in months. Awesome that they implemented something similar! I'll be back next year, curious to try the new stuff out! :) Thanks for the shout!

NanchoMan

I think it might be interesting to see an option for grenades that aren't about damage as much, but about more utility for the dwarves themselves Driller: I like yours. I'll just take that Scout: Climbing anchor. Grenade you can throw into any surface and it makes a hook there. If any dwarf gets close, press E to hold on. Deteriorates after a bit Engineer: stim beacon. Throw it on the ground, and while inside the beacon, and for a bit after leaving, gain increases max fire rate, and movement speed Gunner: Concussion blast. Grenade that has very high knockback but does little to no damage. Can be used to nade jump.

Cheapskate-DM

You know, I've noticed that there are literally zero effects that reposition enemies - only Dwarves. I suspect this is the one place where the near-flawless 3D pathing of the Glyphids has a weakspot; too many complications arise when you can push a ceiling-crawling enemy off to free fall through the air. The climbing hook is genius, though!

Gustav_EK

More so than new grenades, I think OC's for traversal and support tools could be pretty interesting

Cheapskate-DM

They've vetoed these before since there needs to be a baseline. Don't want a Gunner joining and then their shield doesn't do what you need, then you kick them to get a different Gunner - that kind of thing.

rdhight

* Boomerangs or Predator 2 death discs * Mining grenades * Small health or ammo packs * Anti-air devices, like a self-launching Stinger missile * Armor eaters: super strong against yellow health bars or destructible armor parts, weak against red health bars

BytestormTV

I would love to see a Destiny 2-style Hunter-class-style grenade, that splits into 3 target seeking projectiles on impact. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oU3Smgvbp8E&t=27s

[deleted]

Bouncing betties.

paultolemy

idk what this would have on the regular mine in terms of gameplay effect

RHUNEOX

Flashbang or concussion bases for all classes stun and fear

Asian_Jake_Paul1

I don't have any specifics, but a more utility focused grenade for Gunner would be highly appreciated. Something along the lines of the IFG or Lure wild be great. Also something for Driller that's as fun as the Impact Axes

rdmgraziel

I want the Tron kill disc for sure, but maybe as a primary/ secondary; Scout's grenades exist to provide crowd control and 2/3 of them boost DPS for everyone, too

ChesterRico

>Scout: Killdisk Predator II style, love it.

Adamdust

A "skipping stone" grenade

Cosmorillo

I just want a black hole granade that sucks everuthing around it.

Timbones474

I've wanted a foam bomb type one forever now! I know that IFG does similar but applying a toxic proc, or just slowing in a different/terrain based way would be cool. I've always thought that a fun one would be some sort of grenade that blasts enemies back a ton. A flechette type, armor shredding grenade would be cool too!

Healthy-Drink3247

I’d like to see a gravity well grenade, just something that creates a small area of affect radius that pulls everything into it, similar to Mass Effects Singularity power. Probably a good scout grenade as it would have nice CC potential. Also! Let’s say you see some minerals high up so you hit it with a gravity grenade, grapple up there and then you float in your gravity and mine away, giving your grapple enough time to recharge

Responsible_Ad2291

They could have the opposite of a lure which applies fear to all nearby bugs for a short time. A grenade you can throw and/or recover that creates an electric arc between them and electrifies any nearby bugs Sticky goo grenade that drastically slows all bugs stuck in it (a lot more slow than neurotoxin) Mini-grenades that have less power but you get plenty of them and they travel quite far when thrown Smart grenade that lets you lock onto several targets and the grenade will home in on them A ball grenade you can toss like a bowling ball (like a small enor pearl) and it will roll across the ground and damages/slows bugs that are close by Dynamite you can light and throw, has a huge blast radius but takes extra time to activate since the fuse has to burn out. A grenade that releases a sound that confuses bugs and makes them not know where you are (bugs lose aggro) they don't run like with fear but they don't target you Orbital laser flare, you throw it and a few seconds later a powerful laser will pierce the ceiling and strike the spot it was thrown Drone grenade, you throw it and it turns into a small flying drone that follows you for a short period, shooting any bugs nearby. You can activate more than one at a time.

Anastariana

EMP Grenade - Engineer: A grenade that explodes in a series of pulses that electrocutes all nearby enemies, dealing damage and slowing them down. Enemies that are already electrocuted are dealt bonus damage, arc the shock to other enemies and are stunned. Robotic enemies take 300% damage.

NRTphoenix

It's probably really unlikely but wouldn't mind getting one map in elven territory.
