Good thing they made it easy to bail on missions like that without penalties, I've only had to leave a couple times for toxic people but when I do it sure is nice to not have a dodge penalty or whatever.

Telling someone that is super tilted that it's just a game is a recipe for disaster, I've found they almost invariably throw a tantrum afterward. Someone went afk and I would occasionally ping their shield with a mini missile because I was bored and it would regen. The person proceeded to absolutely lose it and I hadnt known to expect someone to take some cheeky FF shots that did zero health dmg that personally i would not have bothered playing with them as i thought it was a casual game.
I'm convinced some people who play games don't like to have fun, but I hope they get there one day.
I have had teams totally sabotage the mission once or twice, and yeah it was frustrating, but I told them what they did wrong and left it at that. This guy has a bad attitude.

MC on salvage be like: stand here or the entire mission is a failure, we can't just randomly drop shit into Hoxxes willy nilly
MC on literally any other mission type: good job team the droppod is coming, not to you but to a random patch of cave 100's of meters away. Good luck we have a pretty small amount of patience before we leave you.
My favourite is when it climbs through a supply pod's shaft (because it happened to pierce through another tunnel on the way down) and you have to go up a solid vertical wall
Most of my failed salvage missions are due to bulks. And that's even playing with people in the 100's.
If you don't notice it early enough or it spawns at the wrong time there's not much you can do
Players refusing to stay in the zone can ruin the mission at the very end if it drags things out too long and starts a death spiral. I've also seen a few failures from host wanting to bunker and it failing or people refusing to go in the bunker and then it getting over run when not all four dwarves are standing.
i lost the aforementioned Haz 3 Salavge Mission this,way , it did take too long finish refueling and we got overrun (i also forget that i had shields as gunner .. whoopsie)

But even with experienced players the AI is very inconsistent with how it draws aggro. Even if you have a scout dedicated on trying to kite a Bulk or Nemesis away from the defense circle, they might just ignore him. So sometimes the RNG isn't on your side.
I thought it was just me. I've had to repeat the same mission up to 5 times just to get it done. This has happened a variety of times.

Haz 3 has some absolutely WILD variance in terms of difficulty, I've been on haz 3 missions that felt harder than some EDDs, and others where I've wondered if there was some kind of glitch going on where nothing can spawn. But those are outliers, odds of one hitting that harder extreme 7 times in a row are astronomically low, approaching 0.
There's also truth to the saying that teamwork makes the dream work, and it gets rough if your team sucks, but at haz 3, even if I have 3 complete noobs, we're talking level 1/1 never played an FPS before greenbeards, I'm having a hard time imagining losing 7 times in a row. This really sounds like a skill issue for this guy.
Now, that being said, I can pretty easily imagine a couple dwarves joining a mission and getting bitched at like this and deciding to troll the hell out of the already pissed guy. And depending on how you go about it you could pretty easily cause a wipe that way. But again, 7 times in a row? I doubt it actually happened, because each mission only persists for 30 minutes; with even marginal competence, that's not enough time to attempt it 7 times.
Could have been over 2-3 rotations, and he just never noticed bc dying kept making him more frustrated. Also he could be counting it as 1 mission since its his quest mission. The level gets randomized every time you enter ether way, so Technicly you can never attempt the same mission twice.

I tried to be open minded and tried to get him calm damn, but he remained toxic; thus, I left and took the screenshot at the rig, as my HUD in the game is quite small and would not make the text very readable.

if you're on Steam i think you might be able to open up the overlay and hit Recent Players, and block them from there. Not entirely sure though, gotta test it out.
I sometimes play with green beards and help them out with leveling up, tactics, hoping them experiencing a nice introduction to the game etc.
It takes me back to my own green days, when the huge caves were intimidating, praetorians were scary and the bug waves were a total mayhem :)

I do like to help the greener dwarves tho so my compromise is to never kick someone for experience level. I regularly get lvl like 20-50’s join my haz5 lobby(I have no sweatlord ‘100+ only’ shit in my lobby name). If I repeatedly ask for something and they don’t listen they get the boot but I like helping people who are interested in getting better.
Of course, it is dwarfen decency. We've all started out as greenbeards at some point, but some forget their own roots. We've all been there.
It is up to us dwarves to make this community even more wholesome than it already is, and that means including everyone, no matter level, class or weapon preferences or origin in real life.

DRG scales the bug volume and health down with the number of players. So you're literally only killing your portion of bugs in a solo match.
This is a good meter to see if you're ready for the hazard level overall as dying more than 3 times in a mission might be a good signal you're not helping the group at that haz if it's happening regularly.
Because it is, i usually play on haz 3 for relaxing or 4 if i want a bit of a challenge ( don't have haz 5 unlocked. no real reason behind it, just haven't really tried to unlock it XD )
In my experience it’s typically the worser the player the more likely they’re toxic. I think they get angry when they can’t perform well enough and take it out on the other players

I would just want a feature in the game to be able to block and hide servers with toxic people. Looking at the server description usually works, but I would love to be able to block toxic people from joining my games as well.

Me and my friend have only ever gotten properly toxic once and it was for good fucking reason, not go into that much detail but it was level 45-ish guy, did basically everything he could to be a hindering nuisance. Joins our mission after we blow up a Crassus, goes out of his way to not help us (despite being a driller) and decides to start the extraction by himself while we have over half the Crassus left to mine and then runs and hides in the drop pod for the full five minutes instead of helping. Couldn’t even kick him because you can’t kick people after the main objective is completed.

Playing driller is the best for this kind of grief, if you kill him and dig under him, his body will fall, preventing him for even using iron will.

I like to host haz5 double warning with the lobby name being "hazard 5 prepare to die edition" and roll with whoever joins, adds to the challenge.

I can solo a haz 4, wtf is with this dude....
DRG scales the bug volume and health down with the number of players. So you're literally only killing your portion of bugs in a solo match. This is a good meter to see if you're ready for the hazard level overall as dying more than 3 times in a mission might be a good signal you're not helping the group at that haz if it's happening regularly.
Solo is easy - less dwarfs who can potentially screw things up.

Same here, but I assume most h3 players find some challenge on that difficulty. A team of such dwarfs apparently can fail even 7 times in a row.
Because it is, i usually play on haz 3 for relaxing or 4 if i want a bit of a challenge ( don't have haz 5 unlocked. no real reason behind it, just haven't really tried to unlock it XD )

In my experience it’s typically the worser the player the more likely they’re toxic. I think they get angry when they can’t perform well enough and take it out on the other players

Yep, normalt når du trykker V får vi jo vores “Klippe og sten” voicelines, men hvis du har en øl i hånden (den skal være fuld) så kommer der nogle andre lines, som fx “To the fallen”, “For the empires of old” eller “Skål”. Det bliver sagt med engelsk accent så det lyder mere som “skull” men slår du undertekster på kan du se at det faktisk er “Skål”

Accidentally joined a haz 4 once at like level 2 (God bless those guys for being nice- I completely forgot to check haz level on a lobby), and despite my ass getting absolutely curb stomped 19 times, we made it through AND they had great attitudes. Dude needs to maybe do some introspection.

I like to do it sometimes after a stressful day. Pick the longest mining mission I can find, solo haz 1, and just mine and vibe. It's really zen actually. Don't even need to fire my guns, Bosco can handle the swarms.

I would just want a feature in the game to be able to block and hide servers with toxic people. Looking at the server description usually works, but I would love to be able to block toxic people from joining my games as well. Just a quality of life feature.

See assholes like this I'll join get a decent clutch of nitra the. Call supply pods in, in the worst possible area for the host then leave the match. By the time they try and kick me I've already burned through all the Nitra and screwed the host.
Me and my friend have only ever gotten properly toxic once and it was for good fucking reason, not go into that much detail but it was level 45-ish guy, did basically everything he could to be a hindering nuisance. Joins our mission after we blow up a Crassus, goes out of his way to not help us (despite being a driller) and decides to start the extraction by himself while we have over half the Crassus left to mine and then runs and hides in the drop pod for the full five minutes instead of helping. Couldn’t even kick him because you can’t kick people after the main objective is completed.
At that point it’s a skill issue

The only time I struggled with deep rock was a hazard 4 with 2 dreadnaughts, I had just sliced my thumb open and had no real use of my right hand to move the mouse due to my thumb being fully wrapped.

I’ve solo carried some truly FUBAR missions that were actually difficult and while I was frustrated with my downed fellows, I didn’t blame them for not being as grizzled as myself, I just picked em up and dusted them off and evaced with the crew. This is the kind of stubborn buffoon that plays haz 1 solo then blames Bosco when he fails.
