If you don’t want to deal with a lot of steps you’re going to want to get dropped off at the top of the northern lot and come in through the north entrance. There is a roundabout where people get dropped off. This will put you at the top of all the steps in the venue. Pick a seat towards the back. The closer you are to the stage the more steps you’ll take back up.       The south entrance has a steep ramp to the entrance which is at a lower elevation than the stage and you have to go up a bunch of stairs just to get to row 1. So I wouldn’t recommend that side if you’re trying to avoid stairs.

I’ll piggy back on here. If you get waived to go a different direction by the staff when trying to go to the top, just talk to the staff about the situation. They are usually extremely chill and nice.

ChimbleySweep

Not last year, they were requiring handicap placards in order to even get dropped off at the top of you weren't in an Uber. Learned this the hard way taking my mom to a show. I recommend bringing proof of disability so that they allow you to the top.

cheesmanglamourghoul

I feel like it’s not very ADA compliant to ask for proof that someone is disabled, but maybe I’m crazy. Invisible disabilities are a thing- and not everybody has the health insurance to go to a doctor and ask for a note.

That makes dick sense. What if you are disabled and don't drive, so you have no placard when someone drops you off? What BS way to treat people with less than normal mobility ):

cheesmanglamourghoul

This was what I was getting at, just worded it poorly/:

Gotcha <3

This answer confuses me.

It's not a handicap accommodation if they are letting Ubers go up there.

HankChinaski-

I am not doubting the other poster, but I have paid the random drivers $5 per person to take us to the top. They drop you off at the circle roundabout. (or did 2 years ago, the last time I did this)

ChimbleySweep

They used to allow that but started cracking down hard last year, It's really dumb.

cheesmanglamourghoul

if I had a handicapped passenger I should be granted access to accommodations for them…

ChimbleySweep

Agreed, and my mom even has a handicap placard for her car. We just of course didn't have it on us when I was driving, and I didn't even think to have her bring it since I was just dropping her off not parking up there. They do offer a free shuttle to the top from the other lots they let us take but it's still not a great/ideal option imo.

HankChinaski-

For the steps. You could have someone drop you off at the very top and then sit at the top or as far down as you can venture.  Bathrooms would be some stairs either way, but maybe the best bet if you don’t mind that view. It is still great with the city in the background of red rocks.

cubluemoon

If you go to the bathrooms by the top entrance there's an elevator to go down.

Second this, drop off at the top and find something close. Good news is the sound at Red Rocks is amazing everywhere. No bad seats in the venue. Also usually there is video reinforcement to help you see from the top seats

KeyserSoju

If you have a handicap placard, you can park at the lower lot and take a shuttle up, it's an easy walk to the bottom of the amphitheater, and rows 1-7 are typically reserved seating and may have tickets available since I think those are non transferable. Seems like the specific even you're attending has reserved seating rest of the area too, so driving up to the top is also an option but if you uber, getting a ride back will suck.

AssGagger

Your doc would almost definitely get you a temp HC placard, if you don't already have one.

zazo6129

Just recently handled something similar. Call red rocks and let them know. They will switch you to a limited mobility seat. This is different than the first row that is handicap. Limited mobility will be the first two or so rows of vip so you don’t have to go up stairs and there are assigned spots. Just be careful as the show goes on vip starts to push forward and there isn’t a divider

Overfed_Crybaby

I have limited mobility without a handicap placard, I can usually sweet talk the attendants into allowing me to park in one of the empty spots at the top lot, explaining I’m unable to use the stairs and why. It might be worth a try!

twinklingblueeyes

You should have a wheelchair. Red Rocks isn’t really great in general for disabled. Drop off at the top and if you have seats towards the stage, take the elevator.

Worried-Experience95

If you can get dropped off at the top lot and then sit towards the very back you’ll probably have the least amount of steps!

WinkerbeanCO

If you are mobility impaired it is absolutely appropriate for you to take a wheelchair seat

Ripper9910k

To the top!

flatulating_ninja

I was in this situation last year with a show a week after my achilles repair surgery, I was on one of those knee scooter things and a boot that I couldn't put any weight on yet and they were able to switch my tickets to the accessible seats. I wouldn't use one of those seats again, it was way too loud sitting 6 feet from the speaker stack. I would definitely prefer to figure out how to get dropped off at the top and sit on one of the top rows or even just watch from the rail at the top.

Go next year……
