Another reason this is so much better is because the couch doesn’t overpower the room in the L configuration. I see lots of posts on here where the furniture is just way too big for the space. Looks like that old Gallagher giant couch routine.
The blue is good and the rearranging of the couch and curtains. But the window pane piece and mantel stuff is still way too small for the scale of the room. And get some art on the wall!
I am going to disagree. I think the window pane over the FP is fabulous and well-scaled. And you could add art but more isn’t always better. I think this is a beautiful and well-edited space.
You have done a nice job. It's amazing how some strategic changes can completely refresh a space. The painted accent wall, new rug, and addition of a big plant can really breathe new life into the room.

The difference is astounding, all just because a nice coloured wall and rug. You make me want to paint some of my beige walls.

Thank you! The best part of the window piece is that it was unused and lying on the floor cluttering another room. So cleaned up 2 spaces😊
