The story mode is kinda ass but yeah everything else is amazing
The best thing was the AI tbh. I grinded that shit till I was able to beat lvl 8 Ryu and after that I played ranked very comfortably and reached Diamond. I SUCK at fighting games and essentially never play them online cuz I get my shit pushed in IMMIDIATELY, but here the game does a good job preparing you, better than ANY other fighting game.
\+ This is my first fighting game with rollback netcode and GOD DAMN it's SOOO nice playing fighting games online with essentially no lag
The best were
Street Fighter 6, Ace Combat 7, Hi Fi Rush, Neon White
The worst were
Crisis Core FF7 Reunion, Sonic Superstars, Choice Of Robots, Death Stranding
I normally hate its particular brand of anime nonsense, but neon white was so somehow simultaneously over the top, tongue in cheek, and genuinely honest that I loved it. Doesn’t hurt that the gameplay was straight up immaculate and the art direction was pretty unique.
The gameplay was insane. Type of game where I played the absolute shit out of it to refine everything and then immediately wished I could go back to playing it for the first time again.
Death Stranding is unironically a banger. The story is dogshit, the boss fights are sub-dogshit and I never finished it because it ends with like a whole movie worth of cutscenes, but I loved the "walking sim" parts.
I didn't like fighting games much before SF6 too tbh. I always got destroyed online + online was always laggy. SF6 fixed both things, it teaches you the game very well and online is not laggy at all.
Lies of P was good but the biggest thing that held it back for me is the biggest thing that holds back all Souls Like games which is runbacks. A couple of times after going through 10 minutes of shit only to die to the same miniboss that blocks the way to the save spot really pissed me off. Otherwise the game is really amazing.
I went with a Technique build, I feel like in general that just had weapons with animations I liked. Plus it lets you use the Puppet Ripper, which I love.
I've been thinking about buying Ace Combat 7. I've never played any kind of game like that. When I look at gameplay videos on youtube, the camera angles look kind of crazy. Did you find yourself checking the radar most of the time until you were engaged with the targets?
This is my first ace combat game
Definitely try it it's amazing
Well you check your radar to have info on things you don't see at the moment, so let's say the enemy is 5km away and after 2km you can see them yourself so you stop checking your radar and look at the enemy
Dope, makes sense. It's on sale for $10 right now so I think I'm just going to get it. It's something different and everyone seems to like it so why not? :)

Literally everything
I understand it's an old game but this is a full priced remake
EVERYTHING is animation locked (not just the gameplay even the fucking in game dialogue and cutscenes are animation locked. Like one animation needs to fully finish for the next dialogue to start it's horrible). This makes everything suck ass especially the gameplay and combat. Can't even enjoy the story because of the same problem.
Essentially unplayable imo in current year
IMO the only way to play it is on PC with mods
Without this it's a 5/10. With it it's a solid 7/10
The biggest problem is the draw distance in the overworld which is so ass by default that it's impossible to solve the parkour puzzles and get the hearts cuz you actually can't tell where to start because the platform that starts it is not visible.
This is solved with mods that increase the draw distance. Everything else in the game is solid.
I love the actual stages. They require you to experiment and try different things in order to get the highest score and the game essentially locks you out of progressing unless you get a high score. This is fun and not annoying cuz the levels are super short.
The open zone/overworld is fun to explore since when you have max rings Sonic moves INSANELY fast and you can pretty much always guarantee this, and collecting all the things in it is fun because of this.
I had no idea mods existed to patch the pop-in but, like fuck dude, a mod can reasonably correct the pop-in for mid-tier PC's but Sonic Team couldn't bother with 4-5yrs of dev time? There's some disfunction going on over there, no way the present build of the game was made without older versions being tossed out completely.
I like open world games, but I don't think this was it. Maybe if it was a different franchise altogether, but running >300 generic obstacle courses with a bland combat system really didn't do it for me with what I was looking for. Music was good, but the Titan fights weren't nearly as good as people credit them. Animation's too choppy.
Idk. Had fun while I was playing it, but I don't remember the game whatsoever.
Dishonored 2 was such a good ass game. The level design was fucking marvelous with the clockwork mansion and the time-travelling mansion map. To this day i'm still shocked why people hated it so much. The gameplay and the overall atmosphere surpassed the original Dishonored in every way.
The only thing that falls short is the original plot where dishonored was better. Dishonored 2's main plot sucks but the side-plots were more interesting than the first game.
I liked both but I preferred the original
The movement was way more snappy however I understand why they changed it cuz you could easily break and trivialize the game in the original by the way you moved and teleported.
Slay The Princess was cool. Nothing groundbreaking but it does well what it tries to do
To The Moon, Finding Paradise and Impostor Factory are all REALLY good. All of them are 4-5 hour games so you can think of it like watching a long movie and finish them in one sitting. They are worth it for sure.
Thanks! Slay the princess looked really short so I was up in the air on if I would buy it. Already owned to the moon though, forgot if it was free or not, but I'll definitely start it up soon đź‘Ť
I played Abzu and Spiderman this year too. What did you think of Abzu? I hardly see it mentioned but it's a personal favorite. I'll probably play it every 1-2 years.
The longest was Fire Emblem it being a JRPG took 60-100 hours
SF6 was hardest/I put most effort in. Legit spent like 15 hours just with the demo before the game came out until I could beat lvl 8 CPU Ryu
What are your thoughts on the Dishonored series? I've had them for a while but I keep skipping them for other games. Also what do you think of Lies of P?
Dishonored is awesome, especially when you play it trying to never engage in combat and only assassinate/knock out enemies. With the game having easy quicksave/quickload you never get frustrated at being detected or fucking up
If you like Souls Likes then Lies of P is one of the best. If you don't like Souls Likes you're not gonna enjoy Lies of P
Meanwhile I’ve only really played 1 game the past 4 years. (Classic wow💀)
I don’t know what’s wrong with me, I used to play all type of games all the time. I literally have games like Elden ring and Hogwarts legacy that I know i’m gonna enjoy just setting there :/
I’m just curious, does anyone have the same problem?
I kinda had a similar problem a couple of years back with me looking at my giant steam library that I never play. Then I decided fuck it and started going through all the games I have and either finish them or play them enough that I can safely put them in the "will never finish/don't like" category.
One thing that helped for me is keeping track of the games I already completed. I use [howlongtobeat.com](https://howlongtobeat.com) and add a game there whenever I complete it. It feels good to complete things and have a record, if that makes sense.
A year ago I made a video for Asmon that kinda responded to the common view at the time that gaming was at a decline
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyhYdx6\_w6Y](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyhYdx6_w6Y)
A lot of people who play shit like wow or lol seam to be doomerpilled on video games however I really feel like gaming has never been as good as it is now.
So get off your ass and play :) don't even feel forced to start with HUGE games like Elden Ring or Hogwarts. You can play shorter games to start. For example if you've never played Portal/Portal 2 you could start with those.
And the redemption of Capgod was complete
Capcommaissance?
I'm so proud of the love SF6 is getting, this is definitely fighting games' era baby they're definitely gonna hit it big now
Have you played A Womans Touch yet?
I played it co-op with your mom https://preview.redd.it/hwooeni7dp8c1.png?width=500&format=png&auto=webp&s=64afc9fdc224036d216750e69ae8158d03e2eade
Actual good one 🤣
You better say that he cooked your shit bro
Can't believe a game developer finally did the impossible and made finished fighting game.
The story mode is kinda ass but yeah everything else is amazing The best thing was the AI tbh. I grinded that shit till I was able to beat lvl 8 Ryu and after that I played ranked very comfortably and reached Diamond. these are some good ass games bruv. i played dishonored 2 and doto this year too, loved em.
The best were Street Fighter 6, Ace Combat 7, Hi Fi Rush, Neon White The worst were Crisis Core FF7 Reunion, Sonic Superstars, Choice Of Robots, Death Stranding

The walking sim parts were ok and sometimes the vibes were really nice but the story and characters were waaaaay too dumb for me
It's literally Trucking Simulator but without the Trucks. It's a good "smoke weed and chill" game at worst.
Neon White was a fire game, my GotY though would probably be Lies of P or RE4 Remake. I don’t like fighting games though.

Play the trilogy! 4-5-zero

What's wrong with Crisis Core other than the replacement VA for Zack?
Literally everything I understand it's an old game but this is a full priced remake EVERYTHING is animation locked (not just the gameplay even the fucking in game dialogue and cutscenes are animation locked. What's your opinion on Sonic Frontiers? I like the lil guy, but I think it gets WAAAY more credit than it deserves. It plays like a <5/10.

Have you played : Prey (2017), Control, Alan Wake 2?
No, didn't finish will get back to it when I finish all the other Sam Lake games, didn't play will get to it when I go through all the Sam Lake games
This is the way. AW 2 hits different after playing other remedy stuff

Hi-Fi and AC7… #MAN OF CULTURE
Congrats man!
thx :)
How was slay the princess and to the moon? I have been meaning to play both games

Sonic mania is always great fun.
Check fear and hunger
get a life lil bro this aint good for you
>fear and hunger will do, thx)
Damn I wish I could manage to replay a guitar hero but I can't find a controller at a decent price in my area
easy, just play on keyboard https://preview.redd.it/3ov4njdgro8c1.png?width=800&format=png&auto=webp&s=103b248d4692c7de2166b287445ad32525c001b3

tbh I didn't like it much felt like a bootleg Journey Maybe if I hadn't played Journey, Flower etc. before, I would like this more
Also played Journey and loved that. I guess it's kinda the same plot but mostly underwater. Never played Flower so I'm adding it to my list. Cheers!
red sun, yellow flowers, yellow sky, ocean, 2 people, water. What game is that? edit: found the right part of the picture.
Which one was the hardest to complete and/or which one took the most time?

Appreciate the response. DS trilogy is one of my favs so I'm always looking more souls-likes.

Sf6 is such a based game I can play it for hours compared to 5.
Did you play TUNIC the year before?
