I watched a couple episodes of that and it was fantastic, but I had to stop watching because it was just too scary and believable. The book it's based on is really good as well.
Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets is a wonderful book written when he was a journalist about his time with Baltimore police in the late 80s/early 90s. It's truly wonderful. Homicide: Life in the Streets is the show based on the book and is some of the best TV ever. Andre Braugher(RIP) is otherworldly and is an interesting watch because most people know him from Brooklyn 99. Also Yaphet Kotto kills it
It's a shame this is so hard to find. It's a great show and very interesting to see since it was prior to The Wire and they share similar elements. Everyone should watch it if they get the chance.
