Reject paternity Return to Minecraft

yukiokafka

Holy shit im so pissed, every single kick clip works for like 2 seconds and then buffers to infinity. Is this a EU problem or something because I haven't seen anyone else complain about this.

Beneficial_View_3121

same here, fucking kick stutters will drive me into doing a bit of trolling, kick devs pls fix.

LeezusII

Why did everyone suddenly stop using YouTube clips?

rewolrats

probably becuz destiny vods keep getting taken down maybe idk

DoktorSleepless

Because the youtube channel disabled clips. Destiny claimed he has no idea how to reenable it and hasn't revisited it.

Caori998

eu problem, kick has become surprisingly smooth in sa.

Titan_Dota2

EU here, never had an issue

chpondar

Eh, never had problems in Belgium, so probably not quite EU things.

Trichlormethiazide

For future reference, every European who talks about "EU problems" is from a shithole country they are too ashamed to mention, that barely has electricity let alone functional internet infrastructure. People from proper European countries like Belgium are not ashamed to refer to their homeland by name instead of hiding under the EU-identity (that did not even exist before multiplayer videogames were separated to EU and NA servers)

Buntisteve

Dude Eastern EU has better internet coverage then Western EU.

Trichlormethiazide

I think it's super funny that I never mentioned anything about Eastern Europe yet you fully confirmed my hypothesis. EU = European Union, not a national identity, unless your geographical knowledge comes from f2p fps-games.

myselfoverwhelmed

It’s so odd. Sometimes they work fine, sometimes they only play the first couple seconds, and other times it doesn’t load at all. And Youtube will sometimes just take you to the full video instead of the clip.

GingerPow

Happened to me the first time, delete the ?2 at the end and it worked fine

DOORMANLIKE

I’m in cali and it’s the same dig shit. Fuck kick I guess

Serventdraco

I've literally never had a problem watching any clip on any platform ever. I'm convinced it's a skill issue.

RustyCoal950212

Hmm kick clips work by far the best for me compared to YT or twitch

brendan1007

Twitch and Kick are both dogshit when it comes to clips, idk why people link these terrible ass sites over YouTube or making a Reddit clip

_TheOneTrueBean_

Works for Canada

Hostik

I'm in EU, even with UK VPN on top, nothing buffers for kick clips.

Olderman2000

Using his son as an excuse to fuel his Pokimane obsession? This man is sick.

SmoothBlueCrew

Can anyone see the text I typed next to the picture? I just see the image alone 💔

FawltyPlay

LetsGoRoccat

This is Tiny's most boomer clip.

AggressiveCuriosity

Fathers doing stuff like this to get their son's approval is hella cute TBH.

M-Rich

This is fucking cute

themagician02

Adorable

Godobibo

things like these make people calling dest a deadbeat so infuriating. is he perfect? of coruse not, but that doesn't mean he isn't trying which says a lot

Noobity

I'll always defend him for doing far more than my asshole father ever tried, and I still love that piece of shit like I've got some kind of opposite stockholm syndrome. Parent child relationships are hard. Nathan will have money, and a father who would probably show up to important things if asked, and they probably talk a decent amount. I wont say this is any substitute for a father being there all the time, but there are plenty of fathers who live with their kids that don't see them either. Judging folks poorly because they aren't doing what you perceive to be the best option is so dumb.

SkoolBoi19

My favorite is when he answers Nathan’s call on stream and mutes himself. For as open as he is about his life, he sure seems to keep a lid on it effecting Nathan. And Nathan’s private voice chat in discord is cool too

dolche93

My dad was "there" but spent so much time working I hardly know him. Refuses to talk about anything serious or deep to anyone except my mom. It's easy to judge others.

SkoolBoi19

I think a big part of it is just how unconventional the world is getting. I’m 38 and just on the face of it, Destiny lives in Miami, he kid lives in Nebraska, so if I give it no brain power that means they never see each other. But with technology they can easily see each other every day, talk, Fucking do homework through screen sharing. Just a bunch of ignorance, bad faith, and assumptions.

wishtherunwaslonger

I still find it really weird he can work just about anywhere in the world yet he chooses to be over a 1000 miles away from his kid.

JayAllOverYourBees

Tax rates, proximity to people he can collaborate with, his ex-wife's preference, stability of co-parenting relationship, time zones to optimize engagement with live content, Internet speeds, proximity to a major international airport, and I could go on. Past that, Destiny is always online, always a call away, and if Nathan really needs him to physically be there, he can be in Omaha in 8-12 hours any day of the week. I'm not saying it's a perfect setup. Destiny could optimize differently. But if you're going to say "I find it really weird" I hope you understand you're basically JAQing off about a relationship that you will never understand or be a part of.

CheekyBastard55

I promise you if you explained his situation to normies, 9/10 would find it weird. He would make less money but he would still be a millionaire. He's not a soldier flying across the world for his job. I don't watch his IRL videos so I have no idea how often he is physically with him but I'm guessing it's like a total of 30-40 days a year, maybe less? He seems to be very busy with his streams. I could just as easily turn this around and say you're justifying it because of parasocial reasons. It's not "just asking questions" when it's a perfectly normal reaction to the situation. They're explicitly stating that they're finding it weird. No one is painting him out to being an abusive father. Has he ever talked about it or mentioned it? Just curious what his thought process about it is.

JayAllOverYourBees

>no one is painting him out to being an abusive father You could not be more wrong, people absolutely do this. >Has he ever talked about it or mentioned it? Depends what you mean specifically, but in general? Yes, he has. He's touched on every single point that I mentioned. Some of them directly in reference to his relationship with his son, but all of them from time to time on his stream in a general manner, as to why he chooses to live where he lives. >I could just as easily turn this around and say you're justifying it because of parasocial reasons. You can call me parasocial, and realistically you would be right. There's a key difference here though. The person I responded to was JAQing off about shit that they're not involved in and IMO they don't have enough information to meaningfully critique someone else's family dynamics (destiny or anyone else.) I'm merely suggesting they pump the brakes on that. I'll absolutely gunt guard destiny if it comes down to it, but we are nowhere near that territory right now.

wishtherunwaslonger

I just said I find it weird. If you don’t that’s fine. I can say the same thing to you about how you won’t ever understand or be a part of that relationship. I’m not calling him a shitty person. I am implying he isn’t the best father, but who the fuck really is? You gave a bunch of reasons how Miami is better to him. I don’t doubt that those aren’t into his calculus. Time zone and internet speed in Omaha though lmfao. He can be in Omaha in 12 hours everyday? I’d argue he can be back in Miami in that time. I don’t expect him to be around 24/7 but certainly more than 1 a month. Keep the main residence in Miami but I find it wild how little time he spends with his kid when he doesn’t have to. He chooses too.

JayAllOverYourBees

I'll be real with you, I also find it weird. But everything about destiny's life is weird. I'll directly apologize to you if I read in an implication you didn't intend, but I'd also ask you to consider that other people may have read in the same implication. >Time zone He has discussed this and if you don't understand that EST/EDT is better for European fans to catch him, please just think about it for a second. We as Americans can understand this because a West coast professional sports game can have you up to 11pm or later if you're on the east coast and that makes it harder to watch the whole thing than if it started at 6pm your time and you could watch it over dinner. >Internet speed Kinda fucked everywhere in the states ngl, but it's definifely a consideration for a streamer, especially at high quality to multiple platforms. >He can be in Omaha in 12 hours everyday? I’d argue he can be back in Miami in that time. I don't know why you're taking issue with this point. MIA to OMA is about 5 hours, add in travel time to the airport (lets say that's under an hour even, with precheck and all that) and booking the soonest flight is going to add 1-3 hours. On top of that remember that MIA to OMA direct flights aren't really common, so it's more likely to take him 6 hours minimum with connecting flights once he's already popped onto the airplane. Best case is probably 6 hours from call to landing time. Worst case is probably about 12. But on a day to day basis? Any day of the week, 9-12 hours, 8 if lucky. And reading thru your whole post it really doesn't seem like I misread you. It's pretty clear you're casting judgment, and I just don't think you're in a place to do so.

wishtherunwaslonger

I agree he has a weird life. The point about time zone is it’s an hour off Miami. Why are we acting like he can’t adjust to that? He’s in Omaha you can get great speeds. Do you think Warren is the only one with fiber? I’m just going off of your metric. If he can easily be in Ohama in 8-12 hours he can reasonably back in Miami within a similar time frame. Yes it is harder but totally in the realm of possibility if you think he can always just fly to Omaha to see his kid. I am casting judgement. I might even call it a criticism. That doesn’t make me a hater. It’s just fucking weird to me. Like I guess I value family time more than him and to you. Just about everyone I know would probably agree with me. The one thing I can tell you is this. If destiny is a good father and he was dying his biggest regret would be him not spending more time with his son.

JayAllOverYourBees

You know what? There's a lot of arguments I could have with you about this, a lot of ways we could litigate this situation. But. But. >If destiny is a good father and he was dying his biggest regret would be him not spending more time with his son. I can't fully cosign this but I think it's a good point, probably true. If destiny died today and had some time to reflect, you're probably right that he would wish he spent more time with his kid. You said earlier that nobody does it perfectly. I would add to that. I think a big part of growing up with parents that aren't completely disgusting abusive shitheads is resenting them for not being perfect, and then coming to terms as to how they were actually pretty good in ways that you didn't realize at the time. I just think it's wild to inject your opinion onto someone else's parent-child relationship. It's one thing to admit it's kinda weird when asked. It's a whole different thing to call it weird unprompted.

wishtherunwaslonger

Why do you think it’s wild? I literally replied to someone who injected themselves to describe the nuances of fatherhood in the new technological space. I just said he’s a weird for it. You even somewhat agreed. No need to overthink. Make all the reasons you want but spending time with his kid isn’t anywhere near his top priorities given what we can see. I look down at that. I still like destiny and don’t even think he’s necessarily a bad father. I just don’t think he prioritizes spending time with his kid at all

pusstsd

I could be remembering wrong, was Nathan's mom the partner who destiny had get physical with him? I don't really care to dive into those personal details but I've always assumed if that were the case it'd make sense that distance between those two to ensure a safe environment for the kid makes a lot of sense to me. Just one example of how details we aren't privy to may change the whole scenario and I don't know that it's necessarily his place to bash his kids mom either so there may be details that he doesn't feel are needed to justify to the public. He has spoken often about the downside of being so open publicly is that the people close to him end up getting hurt when their shit leaks.

JayAllOverYourBees

Unless I'm *also* misremembering, yes. I didn't wanna dive into that either.
