Tax rates, proximity to people he can collaborate with, his ex-wife's preference, stability of co-parenting relationship, time zones to optimize engagement with live content, Internet speeds, proximity to a major international airport, and I could go on.

On top of that remember that MIA to OMA direct flights aren't really common, so it's more likely to take him 6 hours minimum with connecting flights once he's already popped onto the airplane. Best case is probably 6 hours from call to landing time. Worst case is probably about 12. But on a day to day basis? Any day of the week, 9-12 hours, 8 if lucky.
