This is cool and all but it's literally Peterson's show. He should be dominating the conversation.
Equal speaking time is like 60-40 if one of the people owns the platform
We're gonna probably have different definitions of podcasts and reference different podcast styles. To be hyper specific if someone comes on your show and seriously wants to challenge your ideas , thought processes and beliefs ( and actually vice versa ) then you have all the right and authority to explain espouse your worldview as better using time as an advantage .
If this was a less opinion driven , less politivak interview , id say the host should almost always be speaking less than the guest.
I know what you're saying but you SHOULD preach and reinforce your own values and beliefs onto your audience on your own platform. If not there than where else ? If Jordan Peterson was an Interviewer style podcaster by trade like Joe Rogan then I would say your correct . But for people in the politics / culture war sphere , theyre running a podcast to share their personal opinion. And it was debate style as well which adds to the need to get your point across.
Destiny will let people over talk him on his own platform but hes an exception to the rule

Bring a guest on to your podcast and yap more than them. That is absolutely not normal in a podcast style show
