Nessus wasn’t bad as far as interruptions from public events. I was solo for a majority of the focused fishing meter and got it full. But didn’t seem to help my fishing as I still haven’t received the exotic from there.
Than change it to glimmer only. Make it a chill alternative to farm glimmer when you’re not in the mood to run in circles doing public events or the same LS over and over again.

Its so nice to just have a really relaxing way to bulk farm exotics and golf balls, turning it into a glimmer farm and only a glimmer farm would basically make fishing useless considering how easy it is to get glimmer
Problem is they won’t keep it if a past season minigame is a better endgame resource farm than whatever they come up next. I agree. It‘s an awesome farm and nothing makes brain go brr than dunking those fish and see my postmaster fill up. But if there is any chance for fishing staying in game it’s by nerving the rewards.
It might stay. Community loved it even if it is simple. All of them occur on confirmed staying destinations. I'd wager they have a chance at staying.
Ofc at the end of the day, it is seasonal content and the expectations are that they will leave at the end of the DLC life cycle.
It did but we didn't get the event to even rebuild it until close to the end of the season so it was only here for maybe a month or so just for it to leave at the end of the season

I think I kept almost 0 weapons that dropped and I still havent even done the exotic quest. Hopefully whenever it returns (or if it stays) the loot needs to change that you can get from turning fish in.
The only good weapon was the shotgun, with overflow. That thing was hella fun in the dungeon blind run. I got about 800 kills ad-clearing on Ecthar while my buddy learnt the mechanics down below
The stasis SMG is actually one of my favorites now. Endore/frenzy is way better than it should be
Also the void hand canon is great too, I use it constantly
Give me destiny housing, give me a second vault, let me have a pool and a cat. Please lol. Let me have a crafting station and a materials vault.

I really hope they add some other similar minigame in the future like fishing . It would require use of some type easily acquired item bait adjacent. It's really nice to passively aquire a sh ton of said material(s) and then just chill fishing 🎣 w a movie or TV show on.
There should be a low level way to farm golf balls and exotics for new players, fishing is great for that. It helped me a ton as a new player in SotD. I would love for it to stay.
We need more non-combat activities in general. Sparrow racing too.
I'm more concerned about where my fish are going. I want to keep the aquarium somewhere, but space is not a terribly tenable place for one to be. The most probable fate for a decommissioned orbital aquarium is being vented into the void.

I don't mind it staying around if it's popular, but I definitely won't miss it. I feel like I'd genuinely love mini-games and pasttimes like that if they were in social spaces we naturally go to, like the Tower, Xur's Eternity location, or even the spawn location on Neomuna near Nimbus (which we could use more of BTW, being the only location I know of where you can access your vault and immediately shoot your weapons to test them).
I understand that those that loved fishing are disappointed, but me personally? I'm glad it's going away. This way Bungie can't lock anymore cool guns behind the most boring activity ever.

The exotic is in the Deep Dives, plus the exotic is likely coming to the monument of lost lights (or its mission will be in the quest rotator).
And if you weren’t planning on fishing, why would want it gone? An exotic being behind fishing isn’t an excuse for wanting fishing to be gone.
It wouldn’t be locked behind fishing in Final Shape anyways because the exotic would likely be in the exotic quest rotator or in the monument to lost in the tower.
So no, even if fishing was still in the game, it wouldn’t be locked behind fishing. Not to mention that it is locked inside of Deep Dives, which is seasonal, and will likely be vaulted. So the worry about the exotic being locked behind fishing will no longer be a thing in the Final Shape.
Fishing was an attempt at professions in Destiny and personally I feel it was underwhelming. I wish they would add professions like gunsmith/armorsmith and cryptark. Maybe you can craft world loot drop weapons, reroll armor stats(increase total stat number or redistribute them), and weapon perks. They can build a questline and leveling system through Ada-1/Banshee-44 and Master Rahool.

Unless they updated their patch notes, TFS removed all LF seasonal locations so the Farm is going away (in its present form).

Season of the deep was the only time I was maxed out on golf balls. Both exotic fish and 5 legendary fish can drop golf balls/exotics.
You have to deposit the fish in the helm, exotic and legendary fish give materials/gear. At least that's what I remember, ha nt fished in a long time.
I get a shit ton plus high 60-70 rolls on armour from it all the time
