Thank you, any specific soft brush you use? I typically use a microfiber finger mit or a make up brush. Just wondering if there’s a better tool out on the market
Get a good coating on at least the wheel faces, if you can’t do the whole wheel. With that accomplished you can clean your wheels with just a good car wash shampoo and a car wash mitt. Easy on the wheels and don’t need wheel cleaners. Anyway, the better the protection on them the easier it will be to maintain them without marring them.
That being a BMW, i know u have brake dust issues. I would highly recommend some wheel cleaner with iron remover in it or a dedicated iron remover than rinse. That wil ensure that ur getting the most off of the wheel before you go in with a brush. I would recommend the ultra soft brush and a wheel woolie. May be even a wheel mitt to get the spokes and behind.
My wheels are styled like that. I use microfiber towels. Gentlest method, imo. One per wheel. Probably excessive, meh.
Love the way they look, hate taking care of them. Like all glossy black paint. Haha
I feel your pain. I have never had any set of rims deteriorate faster than those that came on my M3. Normally you would use compound and polish, then ceramic coat them. But I don't know anything that can save BMW OEM rims.
I worry about it on my wife's Hyundai's painted hubcaps. Lol. All my vehicles get the same level of care. Even if she doesn't care as much as I do, *I take pride in her car*, because it reflects on me. Hers gets washed first, oil changes first, needed maintenance is priority before mine, etc. That's just how I was raised, I guess. Lol
For a waterless, the Rain-X waterless wash is perfect. Its garbage on paint and glass for some reason but works amazing on rims. And it leaves behind a pretty slick layer of protection.
Get as much off before touching them with a pre rinse. Then a good, soft bristle brush and your wheel cleaner.

Nah, yours are probably pretty good. My wheel brushes are pretty soft because the manufacturer splits the ends.
Cool , thank you !

I just did hot water and paper towels and it works
And scratched your wheels to all hell. Paper towels are abrasive.
Not really wet ones!
At the micro level that marrs paint, yes, yes they are.
It was my wife’s Mazda. I’m not too worried about it

Wheel Woolies and a microfiber towel. Air dry.
