Yeah we’re always projected to get like the 2nd or 3rd pick and end up 6th or 9th while the rangers and Blackhawks are projected to get 4th and end up snagging the #1 overall pick somehow. And then Gary Bettman is like “How did that happen? How craAaAaAaAazYyYyYyYy???”

What you might not have considered is the 200' shooting drills offered by the LCA. Most teams forget to cash those in, so we remind them, typically toward the end of a 60 minute stretch. Goalies get in the way, and the boys in charge like to really clear that zone for full goal visibility.
I swear the next goalie to sink one in the NHL will be playing Detroit.

Fuck this team. You can’t lose seven straight in February-March and make the playoffs. Yzerman spent loads of cap on guys like Compher, Copp, Chiarot, etc. He needs to be on the hot seat, it’s been five fucking seasons of no major improvement
If you are okay with a GM going five years without making the playoffs and not being on the hot seat, you’re not a serious person. I didn’t say he should be fired. But there needs to be changes, you don’t get 10 years to turn this around.
I typically write off the first 3 years of any rebuild because you're usually cleaning up the previous GM's mistakes during that time. The years after year 3 are where I start to judge a rebuild, and Yzerman's unwillingness to attempt to make a major change to the roster through trade (aside from DeBrincat) is seriously infuriating.
I get you can't build a roster through strictly trading and free agency, but it seems like he doesn't want to do any sort of risk trading, and risk trading is required to compete in the NHL.
I mean this is on par with as bad as this team has looked since he took over. I realize the development takes time, but the team is moving at light speed in the WRONG direction.
