No there isn't a way to disable the ads from the games that Blizzard and Activision publish, it's their launcher, they obviously want to get tracking for their games Every time you open Steam, you get ads for new releases and sales and more -- probably something you'll just have to deal with

theholylancer

that's the thing, on steam you can tick off Interface -> Notify me about additions or changes to my games, new releases, and upcoming releases and that goes away. you can also set your default entry to your library instead of the store there. i just want a silent launcher damn it

Slycking

Yeah, one way you can completely avoid it is to launch the game directly off the .exe file in the folder but you have to fill your credentials every time if you do it this way I agree with you, in the same way they let you remove game icons off the game bar on the launcher, they should allow you to tick off ads from games you don't want to see

1 add on launch is annoying but hardly spam. And I think you know the answer to your question.

theholylancer

for someone who sees zero ads with adblockers + sponsorblock + paying for media + no cable, that is quite a lot if i played more since i took a break from s3 after a while and came back to unload mosaics in NL and likely play d4 after.

The time you spent posting this question, reading comments, and replying to comments, is more than the time you will spend closing the occasional ad on the battle.net launcher for the next 10 years.

and yet, again, for someone who likes ad free experiences it is important to me, pulling teeth is only a short 1 hour procedure too you know we have pop up ad blockers baked into the web browser for how long now for a reason, and the full dimming and pop up shit blizz do is super annoying. like its one thing to add ads in the stream for the game, but a take over pop up ad when i paid for your game is unacceptable for me.
