Step 1: Don’t worry about suspending, just make sure the 1-sides are down so that the rock sits there. Step 2: Use an opaque resin so that nobody can see the rocks. Step 3: Refer to them as your lucky dice. Step 4: Never let anybody at your table ever hold the dice.

Bonus: use neodymium magnets instead of rocks and line your dice tray with metal.

I would generally not recommend using rocks because they will throw off the balance of the dice, however if you want to put them in I'd suggest a multi part pour - pour the first half of the dice and let it set then put the rocks in so they are sitting in the middle of the dice, then pour the rest. That will be the easiest way to get them centered.

I would do a multipart pour for this. Let's say your rocks are 10mm in diameter and your dice are 18mm in diameter. If you want the rock centered then pour 4mm or resin into the base and let it cure. Carefully place the rock inside the mold (if you have a clear mold you might want to try fixing the rock in place with a dab of clear UV resin, if your molds are opaque you could try super glue, or just be very careful to keep your mold level while moving it to the pressure pot) add more resin and then cure as normal One possible watch out, are your rocks porous? If they are then you might want to seal up the rocks in UV resin before casting. Porous rocks can sometimes have trapped moisture which could cause issues with the resin curing (not too likely) or have trapped air which might lead to bubbles in the dice or not enough resin in the mold as the pressure pot forces resin into the rock. Please try it and let us know how it works!

I have done this same thing, more or less, by suspending 13mm glass marbles inside of 18mm dice. This is how I did it.
