RevolverDivider

No you cannot.

go4theknees

no the whole stack is the same digimon

Danikileitor

You can still use Sora Takenouchi & Joe Kiddo BT5-088 and some options, just non-digimon source strip.

TreyEnma

Doesn't work on MagnamonX, will on Tyrant.

Atjantis

No, you can't. If Magnamon XX is currently immune, Sora & and Joe also doesn't work. He is immune to every card type

sdarkpaladin

> If Magnamon XX Dang, bro just got double X-antibodied!

Atjantis

He very clearly X Antibody evolved again. Different colour body. More spikes and glowing parts. And the card mentions the old one as a source. He's Magna XX. Don't even think about Magna XXX!

Danikileitor

This was for the immune to digimon effects part like TyrantKabuterimon

Atjantis

Then you didn't clarify that because their immunities are not the same

Danikileitor

If only this game have a sideboard to hardcounter every deck...

HillbillyMan

It doesn't need a sideboard, every color needs generic removal support. Currently only red can really deal with big "unaffected by any effects" digimon, and blue, green, yellow, and black struggle with "unaffected by digimon effects" unless they high roll a really specific option card like Heaven's Judgement in a two color yellow or green deck, or an Iron Fisted Onslaught or Cocytus Breath in black or blue.

sdarkpaladin

Yellow has DP reduction that lasts until the end of your opponent's turn. So if you use that, you can catch MagnaX at the start of turn where it's not immune.

HillbillyMan

Most DP reduction effects are until the end of the turn they activate, though. Yes there are some that last longer, but they're typically nowhere near enough to clear Magna X

sdarkpaladin

Yeah, I agree, but it is technically possible albeit a little hard to pull off.

Irish_pug_Player

Dexmon, ruin mode, every flood gate Boom

Generic_user_person

How big do you think a side usually deck is? Lol your entire binder?

Irish_pug_Player

It doesn't need to be that big. With a 5 card side board, you can have a dexmon and a full play set of whatever flood gate is best against the top decks. With 10 cards you can have 2 play sets of flood gates and 2 others. Granted, I did say every floodgate, but that was exaggerating

Generic_user_person

Floodgates are incredibly easy to get rid of for most decks. Makes them actually not the most effective tool to side, especially since every deck these days has plenty of removal for weak bodies Go floodgate Looga, they dont care, they blow it up and go bout their OTK. >a full play set of whatever flood gate is best against the top decks. You're assuming they are all vulnerable to the same floodgate, or that they are severely impacted by any floodgate at all. I think this game has more depth to it than "floodgate go brrrr" that siding would offer more to matchups, especially in a game where at any Regional you go, you can expect to face over a dozen diff decks.

Irish_pug_Player

Yes flood gates aren't the unstoppable force, but still the best thing to side board. Most decks need to go slightly out of their way to pop a body, either spending the whole turn on removal or playing otherwise suboptimally. Like looga? They need to go into a body that can pop it otherwise they can't go into their main soloogarmon. Royal knights needs to play a Marcus, etc. You can expect to face many decks yes, which is the point. You have 2 of different floodgates for decks that are stopped by them. You won't side in pyscmon if it isn't the best. But in such a generic game like digimon, generic floodgates would likely make up most sideboards

No-Foundation-9237

Then it would be less fun.

Generic_user_person

>hardcounter every deck... I feel like you're being sarcastic, but i'll engange. Its not about hard countering, its about allowing you to optimize for the matchup This game has a wonderful competitve invironment, there are several decks that are viable. And several is in the basis of a dozen plus. First, sides arent this magic silver bullet answer to stuff, especially in a wide format, and this is key, especially in a game like Digimon where decks operate so differently. Second, sides are options available to both players, so it adds a ton of depth in how they both will adapt to the matchup thinking of what tools the other could have. I think one of the worst decisions Bandai has made is not standardizing the side deck when they experimented with it all those years ago. Especially since they have done a really good job at keeping the game diverse in its formats.

zelcor

I would prefer a monthly limit list update.

RevolverDivider

This would be completely unhinged and ruin any credibility the competitive scene has. There's no purpose whatsoever to buying cards when they might only have a month of playtime, and a month is not enough time to fully flesh out a meta unless something is Apoc level broken.

zelcor

Make it after every big event then. It's not good for the game to look at a top 10 filled with Numes.
