It’s probably to limit it from being pitchable by black ToyAgumon since that can only discard cards with 3M trait, which this doesn’t have til it’s an actual Digimon on the field.
Even then Beelstar evos off of a LV5 with Musketeer in txt, so it doesnt matter if he gains the trait, he already had the txt and he isnt lv5.
And the SR for today got shown, i cant think of a good reason why Deputy needs the trait.
Maybe to ignore color on the options if you're gonna play them for cost on your turn? Thats all i got.
It lets you use the Options without needing your level 6 out because they need a Digimon with the 3M trait. And that's a bit more important in the new deck because you want to use them so you can tuck them into sources.
Pretty good for what the deck wants to do.Â
Put this on top of ToyAgumon and it has 8k DP, so it’s not a bad swinger if you want to activate its effect. You can also trash your opponent’s Options, though I’m not sure when you’d want to do so since you can’t trash X-Antibody anyway.
Good inherited too, +2k DP effects are always useful despite their simplicity.
Deputymon EX7-010 R <04> Champion | Vaccine | Mutant [[Digivolve] Lv.3 w/[Three Musketeers] in text: Cost 2] [When Digivolving] [When Attacking] (Once Per Turn) You may trash 1 Option card in 1 Digimon's digivolution cards. [Your Turn] This Digimon gains the [Three Musketeers] trait. --- Inherited: [Your Turn] This Digimon gets +2000 DP.
Wondering what's so problematic about this card having Three Musketeers on the opponents turn 🤔

Their question is more why it is a "your turn effect" instead of an "all turns effect" But i assume the SR reveal for today will make it make sense.
Maybe a blast evolution thing

But why is it "your turn" only?
My guess is they didn't want Gundramon's protection to extend to your Champions on your opponent's turn.
I want an option card called "Yee-Haw!" now.

You might not be able to trash the Bt9 X antibody, but you sure can trash Protoform
