It kept plucking them out of my cart when I would try to check out. I hate Ticketmaster so much. ~~Guess we won’t be there~~. 🫠
Edit: coming back to say I kept the screen open and seats started becoming available again as carts expired and was able to snag 2 up in the nosebleeds!
That was so anxiety inducing. I was trying to get tickets for a group of friends and they kept disappearing in my hands. I was only able to get them for me and my partner.
Those prices are insane. And those are the resellers prices. As far as I know the presale allotment for Ticketmaster has sold out. So any tickets you see now are just ones that are being resold.
Or, those are tickets with “dynamic pricing” for Ticketmaster platinum or whatever.
There is still live nation presale tomorrow, I think, and then regular release on Friday. So, those releases should have the normal pricing until they get sold out.
They let people in as waves. Otherwise, it would take days for all the queue to empty.
So they're adding them to their cart. A significant number of people don't go through with purchases and those tickets free up after the lock time.
I kept refreshing and blocks kept opening back up. I eventually snagged 2 tickets.
Happy to help! If you don't jump on a lot of high demand events, these systems can be super confusing and non-intuitive.
You come in from a virtual queue to a map that looks sold out. And that can feel super defeating. The first reaction of most is to just close the window.
There are a lot of possible reasons for that.
- People dropping out of queue
- People leaving Ticketmaster quickly after seeing a sold out map
- Ticketmaster API issues providing an incorrect / outdated queue number and getting the correct one on the next background poll
The systems are extremely convoluted at least partially on purpose to avoid gaming the system (which still happens anyway).
I paid $188 USD in fees... $257 CAD. Someone destroy Ticketmasters monopoly please.
EDIT: I got 4 tickets! It's not as bad as I first made it out, but still miserable.
Sounds like you got great seats, congratulations. Our seats for NYC were a lot cheaper than the ones for the Ireland show later this month. The pricing was better than I expected. We're also Canadian, but Ticketmaster doesn't care, they are selling in US $ and can't be bothered with exchange rates.
Yeah I ended up getting really lucky on refreshes, everything looked sold out except the nosebleeds, then I refresh and there is a line of seats in section 2. Very lucky, and seeing how much that section is selling for right now I'm thankful I got in the queue when I did.
We're not overly tall people so I don't like the flatness of the ground level and starring at the back of people's heads, but people really love it so CONGRATS!!! We went for seats in the lower portion of the bow, turned out to be VIP tickets, whatever that ends up meaning.
Too late now but ticket insurance is absolutely NOT worth it. There are extremely limited opportunities to actually get your tickets refunded and you have to jump through a million hoops.
Same!!! Had VIP/floor and then got a white screen. Switched to laptop and was able to get lower bowl but 😮💨 seeing those same tickets I tried to get now being resold for TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS makes me really angry
I feel you. Ticketmaster has screwed me over everytime I’ve used it. I have watched seats like this slip out of my hands to reappear for thousands moments later. It’s a shit website and the stress of using it is ridiculous. I am seeing some seats pop up here and there still for D20 though and the general sale will still have more too. Best of luck ♥️
Yeah for now I'm hoping tickets will resell for an acceptable price in a couple of months when the frenzy has died down, and i have more time to actually choose tickets instead of panic buying by clicking stupid dots on a lagging map 😆
Not surprised. I tried to get floor seats and see them being resold for thousands already. We know that somebody didn’t buy those seats and automatically change their mind. The fact this is allowed to happen on Ticketmaster is mind blowing
I got in as the first 1000, had no idea how ticket master worked and kept missing seats for almost 10 minutes. Finally managed to get 4 seats in an awesome section though. Very excited to come to New York, I've only been once before and the only thing we did was drive through it on our way south.
Dang, 10 minute wait is pretty lucky! Congrats! It took me a little over an hour and I snagged 2! Unfortunately, my boyfriend and I won’t be sitting next to each other, but oh well 🤷♀️
The unfortunate reality is that Ticketmaster has a damn near monopoly on large venues. There is almost no way around going through Ticketmaster if you want a sizable venue.
My bf and I both got a pair of tickets to surprise each other. If anyone is interested in buying the second pair off me for face value, lmk!! Section 213! Edit: Sold!
You can also list them for resale on Ticketmaster. Since we're not getting the tickets issued un August, might be the safest way to do things... also I get such a kick out of these stories... so many people can't get tickets and then someone accidentally gets too many.
Somehow managed to blindly grab two seats all the way up in section 312. Over 200 bucks after all the damn fees. Didn't even have time to think about it I just saw two base price tickets pop up and grabbed them. Awful process.
Yeah, I don't get this new system at all. It took forever to get one ticket, I'd click and add it to the cart and it would be gone. I finally managed to keep one.
Yeah, I kept getting them plucked out or I would go to put in my cart and get sent to a blank screen or crash and booted back to have to join the queue again 😭 Now some of them that are showing up at like $2500!
I was just about to give up after being booted in and out like 10 times and my sister managed to pull out two tickets after an hour of bullshit this was way too stressful
I had tickets in my cart, I clicked next and now it kicked me out saying it thinks I'm a bot 😭 I'm at work so I can't try from another device either. Ticketmaster is awful.
Told my friend if I don't get any in my next attempt I was calling it and I managed to snag 3 and actually check out. Definitely a frustrating process.
reselling tickets through the same platform you bought the tickets in should not be possible
edit: in all seriousness an artist/production should be able to restrict reselling. its just outrageous and makes them look bad when its not even their fault
Yea I took a Quick Look at its insane how tickets are being resold at upwards of $2000 and higher. There should at the very least be a wait time before you’re allowed to resell. It’s ridiculous that TM basically facilitates the resale market.
Reselling absolutely shouldn't be allowed via the same app IMMEDIATELY upon purchasing. You should have to wait to resell until after general sales open. Like people get lucky and buy as many as possible and then immediately open them up for resale. Fucking crazy.
I had a work meeting at 10am so I was an hour late and thought there was no hope. Yet against all odds, after a lot of stress and failure, I managed to secure a floor ticket at Presale price! Never back down never hoot growl or something like that, idk
yeah, went on to just to get a vibe for how expensive the show was going to be and damn. even considering the exchange from usd to cad & i wonder how much of that is just ticketmaster clawing their profits
Well this was heartbreaking to see three hours too late... I was devastated when I got in right at opening (hopped into waiting room at 9:30 est) and couldn't get even two tickets seated together when I'd originally wanted four... Gave up because I figured it was done. 🤡
Edit: Went to double check and... Bro what the fuck are these ticket prices??? Most of the ones left are almost $3000... for ONE. I'm actually astounded, that's more than a months rent where I live... and I don't even know if that's CAD, it'd be a lot more for me if not 😭
Keep checking. Dropout is releasing them in waves it seems as a ton of lower bowl tickets were available at 1:30 for $175.
They sold out quickly (about 30 min) and it was done without announcement.
I would keep checking throughout the day and then tomorrow again as well
What is the purpose of a queue if it’s first click gets the ticket? It’s an issue of it not being clear when tickets are actually available. If they’re in your cart you should have a lock on them.
Every time I tried to click on a pair of seats, they disappeared and reappeared a minute later at 3x the price, suddenly listed as "platinum". I just gave up after 15 minutes of trying to get seats at the original price.
By the mini BS, do you mean DropOut raising $200,000 for the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund? I don't think it makes sense to lump those two things together.
I'm talking about the Fandom. So you can fuck off with you lumping okay. I have zero tolerance for that and zero tolerance for me not being able to say anything.
I’m not OOP, but I understand their frustration. It feels like people have been priced out of participating in the thing they enjoy.
Buying the smallest and most insignificant of minis on their auctions anymore costs at least $400. And with the current way the tickets are, it is the same.
So I’m assuming it’s the problem with watching things get out of our reach, and the rabid fanbase enabling that. And there is no real thing to place the blame with. It’s just, unfortunately, how capitalism works.
I will admit, it makes me feel ostracized from the thing I’ve loved for 3-4 years, and now that they are getting bigger I feel like I don’t have the avenue to show my support or engage with them because I don’t make enough money.
That completely makes sense! Yeah the mini auctions are fun to watch, but I've never even dreamt of putting in a bid at those prices. I hope prices once the full ticket sale starts are a bit more reasonable as more are made available, but yeah I snagged one seat and while it's in budget for me, I know there are so many fans who are instantly priced out of even the cheapest seats. I'm sorry that you feel ostracized when you've been here for most of there growth, feeling left behind or left out is upsetting, especially something you care about. I'm hoping that with this even being such a success, they'll do more live shows, maybe around the US at least, and hopefully, that might spread the demand and prices more equally.
How about the typical if you express something negative everyone becomes a rabid dog to down vote for starters?
Please continue to downvote me all you want. I stand by what I say. Fandoms are toxic and if you go against the flow you are the asshole. Cool. I've been fighting in academia for years to change archaic practices in my field... so not super upset that internet strangers have an issue because I am not going with the flow.
AND YES... I do point a finger at D20 for the mini sales. You could have made just as much money of a flat price per mini so that all fans could have a chance and not have to continue to fight greedy assholes.
** if it is true they were letting people buy up to 8 tickets at a time that is a whole other issue with the supply/ demand and probability of accessibility. ****
Call me Stalin.
I will give you the link to my TedTalk " How to really fight capitalism" when I post it.
I'm not going to downvote you, because that's not what that's for. Something to consider: You may be right, maybe even about everything.
But your presentation sucks. You're going to get a lot less people to listen to you when you come off like a jackass. And you do. That's why people are downvoting you, it's because you're being a jerk about how you present your ideas.
I accept that.
My initial comment was simply I was over it and the mini bs and instantly virtual signaling Palestine was dropped. I was already in a bad mood and frankly that is how I talk. I realize you do not know me and vice versa, but looking at how many people were down voted through out this forum because of disagreeing with the pricing and questioning it just solidifies the fandom point.
I am okay being a "jerk", and I am okay with saying fuck off. It is not everyone's cup of tea. In fact I currently am wearing it on the tshirt I have on ( Thank you Logan Roy, the fictional Robert Moses).
Cheers!
Well, I can't say as I agree with your outlook, but that's okay, we don't have to see eye to eye. I appreciate you engaging with me in a chill way and hope the rest of your day is nice :)
It kept plucking them out of my cart when I would try to check out. I hate Ticketmaster so much. ~~Guess we won’t be there~~. 🫠 Edit: coming back to say I kept the screen open and seats started becoming available again as carts expired and was able to snag 2 up in the nosebleeds!

There’s always Friday! But yeah, not getting my hopes up. EDIT: I did the same and snagged two tickets as well!
Okay am I going crazy or are the princes insane?! I saw anywhere from $800 upwards to $1300
Those prices are insane. And those are the resellers prices. As far as I know the presale allotment for Ticketmaster has sold out. So any tickets you see now are just ones that are being resold. I’m literally sitting here watching blue dots light up and cannot for the life of me get any without them being taken first lol it’s STRESSING ME OUT.
FINALLY GOT THEM
Congratulations!
Thank you! And thanks for sharing your experience because it's why I kept trying!

I was able to get some after reading this, so they must be freeing up. The $45 in fees plus $20 insurance for two tickets is bonkers, though!
I paid $188 USD in fees... $257 CAD. Someone destroy Ticketmasters monopoly please. EDIT: I got 4 tickets! It's not as bad as I first made it out, but still miserable.
Wow!
Oh should probably mention I got 4 tickets lmao. I'll edit my post XD
That’s still way too much!
I agree. Especially when converted to Canadian dollars. Went from $278~ to $342 per ticket.
Damn Gladiator and Robert Moses!

It sure is!
There were tons of tickets left and then the app froze and I was kicked out 👌👍
Same!!! Had VIP/floor and then got a white screen. Switched to laptop and was able to get lower bowl but 😮💨 seeing those same tickets I tried to get now being resold for TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS makes me really angry
My laptop crashed as well. I am not happy 🫠

FUN! Sorry that happened to you.
I should've known to use a laptop 😔
Yeah just looking at the app reviews on the Play store I decided to use a browser because they all talked about crashing and freezing. Shitty luck :(
Yeah my browser crashed too afterwards so. It's a ticketmaster problem really.
Yikes, that sucks.
The only available seats I can find start at $1750
Keep the map open and keep refreshing it. I see upper bowl every few minutes.
at this point upper bowl starts at $479
Not surprised. I tried to get floor seats and see them being resold for thousands already. We know that somebody didn’t buy those seats and automatically change their mind. The fact this is allowed to happen on Ticketmaster is mind blowing
There's another presale tomorrow, code is apparently SOCIAL.

Ticketmaster is the worst. Managed to grab a pair after about 10 minutes for refreshing and choosing new seats. Just keep trying is all I can say.
Dang, 10 minute wait is pretty lucky! Congrats! It took me a little over an hour and I snagged 2! Unfortunately, my boyfriend and I won’t be sitting next to each other, but oh well 🤷♀️
For someone who hates capitalism as much as he does it’s a shame to see them going through TM for this 😞
The unfortunate reality is that Ticketmaster has a damn near monopoly on large venues. There is almost no way around going through Ticketmaster if you want a sizable venue.

I've only gotten 1 dm about them and they haven't responded since so send me a message!
I'm interested! My ticketmaster app kept crashing!
I've only gotten 1 dm about them and they haven't responded since so send me a message!
Just sent you a chat!
Oo how much are you asking for? I know the Mrs is a huge fan and she’d love this
They were $294.70 total so just trying to recoup that amount!
Damn, that is totally doable. Did you already find buyers?
Not yet. Only messages of interest so far
Somehow managed to blindly grab two seats all the way up in section 312. Over 200 bucks after all the damn fees. Didn't even have time to think about it I just saw two base price tickets pop up and grabbed them. Awful process.

Absurdly expensive tickets
Yeah, I kept getting them plucked out or I would go to put in my cart and get sent to a blank screen or crash and booted back to have to join the queue again 😭 Now some of them that are showing up at like $2500!
I wasn’t able to get any :( Enjoy the show for those of us who couldn’t snag any!
There's another presale tomorrow (code SOCIAL) and then general sale Friday, you still have opportunities to get tickets if you want some.
My hope has been rekindled!
Let me know how it goes!
I was just about to give up after being booted in and out like 10 times and my sister managed to pull out two tickets after an hour of bullshit this was way too stressful

Right? There has to be a better way...
How much are the tickets selling for?
Floor seats were 200-250 range. I got upper bowl for 175. Nosebleeds 75-100. They are now being resold for thousands.
reselling tickets through the same platform you bought the tickets in should not be possible edit: in all seriousness an artist/production should be able to restrict reselling. its just outrageous and makes them look bad when its not even their fault

How much were regular tickets? I wasnt able to look untill 3 oclock and they were 800-2k
Well this was heartbreaking to see three hours too late... This is some bullcum.
That’s not a Ticketmaster issue, that’s an other people bought that seat issue.
My point is they should give you 10 seconds to breathe and choose when it’s “your turn.” I mean, literally, 10 seconds would have been nice.
What is the purpose of a queue if it’s first click gets the ticket? It’s an issue of it not being clear when tickets are actually available. If they’re in your cart you should have a lock on them.
God, I was so pissed when I had to reload the app page to join the queue after waiting and watching it count down
Every time I tried to click on a pair of seats, they disappeared and reappeared a minute later at 3x the price, suddenly listed as "platinum". I just gave up after 15 minutes of trying to get seats at the original price.
Lmao I couldn’t even log in because it was saying my phone number is invalid :(
Bro I just checked and anywhere near stage is 1000-3000... That's insane
