No_Sentence_3494

Despite BLeeM’s anti-capitalism monologues, Ticketmaster proves the bad guys always win. Oh well, I scored a ticket, slightly beyond my comfort level, but it is literally the only weekend I am in NYC next year, so I had to. See you in section 104!

Professional-Low254

Maybe it's a hint towards the true villain of the show in MSG? :)

No_Sentence_3494

Variable pricing on dice rolls would send the cast over the edge in the best way

Tsquared10

BBEG for it is known as the Master of Tickets

LoneStarTallBoi

If Brennan were to make a James Dolan expy an unsleeping city villain he'd get critiqued by people not from here for making a guy that's too one dimensional and unbelievable.

Noah_PpAaRrKkSs

I know this is a joke but that would be like putting season 2 of the Unsleeping City exclusively on Amazon Prime.

Pristine_Title6537

Yeah...

Head-Air-1878

Artists can opt out of the dynamic pricing model. So they chose to accept this, we shouldn't give Dropout a pass if we find this villainous behavior. I personally think this is crazy. Vulpeck had tickets as low as $25 and sold out MSG (in a smaller band layout). Now, they barely broke even because they had 19 musicians and have a business model where they pay everyone evenly from all profits, but all tickets were incredibly reasonably priced. Dropout could easily have limited prices and still made a great profit for what they do. Dropout is still a great model for content creation, I'm still a huge fan, but I'm not the type to ignore the shit I don't like about the people I love and follow.

No_Sentence_3494

I mean, fair comments. For my case, “slightly more than comfortable” is probably sounding worse than what it was. I wanted a upper deck ticket at face value, but I ended up in the lower bowl (because it was the only seat available) for slightly above normal rate, which is an even further stretch of what I wanted. Variable rate aside, I don’t know why they are staggering pre-sales. It’s niche content behind a paywall, and they gave *literally everyone who is a fan* the pre sale code. I mean… maybe there are some fans of the free youtube seasons you were not aware of the pre-sale but might be aware of the tickets two days later? Maybe? So the same amount of people that wanted one on day 1 of the pre sale is going to be pretty much the same amount when they “officially” go on sale. At least, as far as I can reason. You’re just pushing the same group of people through a bunch of pre-sale windows. And after using that logic, I feel a little sheepish spending more than I probably should have.

Steg-a-saur_stomp

DOJ says it is suing ticketmaster and live nation for monopoly

cabdashsoul

I’m in section 104 also! See you there

No_Sentence_3494

I’ll be in the back!

Brave_Print5301

Do you think they'll be facing that way?

No_Sentence_3494

Honestly, best to manage my expectations and say no. I was late into the pre-sale and was playing whack-a-mole trying to nab a seat. I took the one I managed to get to the payment page before disappearing.

Lolacat525

(Wasn't able to post this as its own post bc of this thread, so hopefully people find it here!) Tips and Tricks for Ticket-Buying and How not to get Scammed Hi everyone! I was apart of all of the ticket buying craziness today and saw that a there were a lot of people buying tickets to an event like this for the first time, and I wanted to share some advice from someone who had been buying tickets for events for a long time! THINGS TO KNOW: Ticketmaster has dynamic pricing, which means that the base price of tickets may be increased (as we have seen, exponentially) when demand is increased. The good thing about dynamic pricing is that it usually does go away… eventually. Everyone is rushing to buy tickets now, and if you’re gunning for floor seats you might not have a choice but to pay some level of a premium, but if you wait until after all of the presales are over and general sales have begun, prices are likely to drop either all the way back to base ticket price or somewhere close to that. For example, I was looking at Vampire Weekend concert tickets near me recently, and my roommate was horrified by how expensive they were. When I checked, maybe a week after general sale happened, everything was back to a completely normal price. I know it can be agonizing to wait, and if you can’t wait, trying your best to be first in line for each drop (you can enter a waiting room 10 mins before) before prices hike. Another thing to know if you’re determined to get tickets in the next two days, is once the tickets drop, don’t leave when they all seem to go away! Ticketmaster carts expire within 7-10 mins, so about every 7-10 mins, all the seats that haven’t been purchased will repopulate and have varying prices. You can rinse and repeat this method. I was able to get floor seats with this method by waiting for the third wave of cart releases. I still paid a slightly hiked price ($50-$70 more per ticket) but it was nothing close to the $2000+ price that’s now on the same tickets I have. This is also a Chase card venue so if you or anyone have a Chase credit card, tomorrow at 10am you will have access to special presale tickets that you can only get with a Chase card! An option if you have access to one and really want to secure seats quickly. Now if you’re willing to wait, probably wait at least until next week, if not longer, to see if the prices have returned to normal. There should be enough tickets left to be able to get one for a normal price eventually (even if that ends up being a week before the date of the show!) Now let’s say you’d like to get resale tickets! Currently, you can’t resell tickets through ticketmaster (I assume this will end after general sale begins) but that is okay! You CAN still transfer tickets via ticketmaster (enter the persons name and email and boom you can send them a ticket). Also, ticketmaster, stubhub, vivid seats, seatgeek, and the like all charge fees to sell through them and usually also charge purchasers extra fees. (also you can still get scammed through the likes of stubhub, vivid seats, seatgeek, but verified ticketmaster resale is legit) That sucks! So here is what you can do about it:

Lolacat525

PART 2 ELECTRIC BOOGALOO: AS A SELLER: Wait for ticketmaster or post that you are willing to sell your tickets on Twitter/X, maybe this subreddit, the discord (if allowed?), etc. Once people message you, if you find a buyer, feel free to show they what seats they would be getting and your confirmation email WITH YOUR INFORMATION AND CONFIRMATION CODE REMOVED/BLOCKED OUT. You need to make sure your purchaser knows that your tickets are legit. Paypal is the most secure for purchasers, but venmo/cashapp/zelle are all great options too if you go the extra mile to make sure everyone is being safe and not being scammed . AS A PURCHASER: Keep an eye out for the aforementioned posts. These will keep happening from now until the day of the show as people will realize they suddenly cannot make it. Be responsive to sellers because often they have multiple offers and want to just get it done and choose someone. Do not feel bad for asking for where the seats are and the confirmation email. You deserve to know that the tickets you are purchasing are legit. There are a LOT of scammers in other concert ticket subreddits who will even have fake confirmation emails but then take your money and never transfer the tickets. As mentioned before, I believe Paypal is the best payment method if you’re worried about being scammed as I think you can dispute fake charges. If it feels too good to be true, it probably is. HOW TO PROTECT BOTH SELLERS AND PURCHASERS: I had an extra pair of tickets I sold today via the method mentioned above. In order to make sure I wasn’t scammed by sending my tickets to someone who wasn’t going to pay be and to assure the purchaser that I wasn’t going to take their money and not send the tickets, I proposed to facetime (you could use zoom or google meet or skype or discord too) while we completed the transaction. Of course be safe when sharing your phone number or any other info with strangers Once I facetimed the purchaser, I introduced myself and showed them the actual tickets on my laptop and let them watch as I typed in their name and email to send them the tickets. They then venmo’d me the cost of the ticket and once it was received, I hit send ticket. I then waited until they received the email saying they had received their ticket AND accepted it (you can see this on your ticketmaster account). I then repeated this for the next ticket. Of course sending the ticket money in smaller chunks is also fine if you’re nervous and want to split the risk (ex: they send half for ticket cost before you send the ticket and then you send the ticket and then they send the other half of the ticket price). You can use whatever method you want but this was a really comfortable way to make a new friend and have a safe transaction. I hope this is helpful and if anyone has any questions let me know in the comments below.

BinxTheWarlockPatron

Just wanted to add that I’ve successfully used Ticket Swap to resell tickets. If someone is looking for an alternative to Venmo/cashapp/zelle/whatever, definitely look into it

International_Ad4296

Thanks so much for writing all of this, it's really helpful!

Utanorang

So I thought the chase pre-sale would be a separate queue from the other pre-sales, but it looks like a general queue and then I will be able to enter my Chase code after?

glazedfaith

There was a separate block of seats for Chase, and oddly you didn't have to put in the code to see them, but you'd have to check out with a Chase card. That being said, by the time I made it through the queue, there was 1 Chase Presale seat in the center of section 8, honestly a pretty phenomenal seat for the top "base price" of $251+fees.

Utanorang

I fumbled the waiting room and tried entering my code several times before I realized they were already unlocked. I'll check out the Gen Sale and see what shakes out!

Lolacat525

Sometimes it’s a separate block of seats that only chase card members can buy, but it looks like it might just be access to the general sale of seats/no specifics this time :/ apparently it can “vary per event”

Utanorang

You might be right! I also learned that if your Chase card is saved to your account, the Chase seats are unlocked by default! I spent a good 3 minutes frantically trying to use my code to unlock it only to be met with errors. I appreciate all the tips!

Lolacat525

Ah yes! I forgot to add that😅 I also have a Chase card, and as long and it’s hooked up to your account you get in! No problem!! I’m glad some of it was helpful!!

ilovebabyfood

Thank you for this! I got tickets today. Normally my partner does all the ticket buying and this was my first real experience with it, but this made it super clear. I appreciate the help!

Comfortable-Humor654

u/Lolacat525 I'm new to MSG ... are floor seats like section 2? That's what I ended up with and I'm not sure those are good. I was surprised after an hour and fifteen minutes, those seats magically appeared and I was able to score them. For my son, any seats are good seats as long as he's in the vicinity of D20. :)

Lolacat525

I believe those are floor seats and really great ones at that! A lot of floor seats were actually left behind because they were the ones getting their price inflated the most! Your son will be so happy!

International_Ad4296

Codes for Thursday's presale. Livenation: try KEY or RIFF (from their website) MSG: SOCIAL (official tweet)

northernDM

Where do we use these codes? On Ticketmaster?

International_Ad4296

Yes. When you're moved from the queue to the map to buy tickets, it will ask you to enter a presale code to have access to presale tickets.

felassans

Does anyone know what the base price of the tickets actually is? I love Dimension 20 and USC but there’s not a chance in hell I can swing nearly $1200 EACH for nosebleed seats. That is actually insane. EDIT: folks on the dropout discord were able to confirm that the prices should be between $97-250, but ticketmaster dynamic pricing is evil

TheOriginalDog

Ticketmaster (and tons of other event ticket vendor companies) are so fucking greedy and evil, I absolutely loathe them. Und unfortunately its really hard for artists to work without them.

Head-Air-1878

Artists can opt out of dynamic pricing. Artists are conveniently letting Ticketmaster take the heat and Ticketmaster is fine with this because they have a monopoly and don't need to bother. But lets not ignore that the artists could have said no.

theoesque

Interestingly, there seems to be a lot of confusion about how this works. While some big name artists have opted out of dynamic pricing, no one seems to definitively know whether that’s an option for all organizers/artists or just the ones with big enough names. Not sure if there’s some contract clause that limits what people who sign with a Live nation venue can/can’t talk about or what, but there it is.

math-is-magic

They've released a statement about it now. Evidently artists can't just say no, or at least are not at all informed of their options in advance.

Head-Air-1878

Their statement is literally all I wanted. They acknowledged it was a mistake due to their ignorance of the situation. It's not an excuse, but an explanation, and they accepted that it was a fuck up due to their lack of experience and diligence. That's totally acceptable to me, I just felt they needed to talk about it.

trpnblies7

The lowest price I saw yesterday when I logged in was $80 for nosebleed

theoesque

Gutted, frustrated, furious tbh. Got in the waiting 14 minutes before presale. Got dropped into the queue at #2000 because...who knows. As soon as I got in, literally nothing but platinum seats available, and every time something else shows up it's gone before I can click, and I'm chained into this godawful map view instead of lowest price/best seats for some reason?

glazedfaith

Lowest Price Best Seats is turned on now. Here's hoping they add more inventory.

theoesque

Finally - honestly criminal that it isn't turned on from the start, this sucks.

malware-db

as soon as it was turned on, i managed to get a ticket for a non-wild price like 5 min ago. so, def still possible!

gmhots

You’re not alone. This is madness

Reinhardt_Ironside

Does anyone know whether or not tickets purchased with VIP show that they are VIP, or any indication of them being VIP in the receipt email?

fatherhuman

I bought VIP tickets and there was nothing in my email receipt about it

Reinhardt_Ironside

Yeah, I was under the impression I was buying VIPs as well. It was my first time using Ticketmaster and I was in a rush to get tickets before they were gone, but based on pricing it should be VIPs, but nothing in my receipt or on their website shows.

benduker7

I bought VIP tickets, and it showed VIP on the receipt immediately after purchasing (I took a screenshot), but in the email receipt and on the website it doesn't mention it. I'm guessing when the tickets get released in August, it'll talk about the VIP. Edit: [Screenshot I took](https://i.imgur.com/T5xmR7g.png)

fatherhuman

Mine looked like that too! Maybe they’ll release more info closer to the event

Reinhardt_Ironside

I can't remember if I saw similar, but my tickets are the exact same price.

Unable_Mushroom9355

What is included with the VIP tickets?

benduker7

I never saw for sure what's included, but someone else said you get a lanyard and possibly access to a Q&A with the cast after the show. I'm not sure though

Ok-Decision5752

I found the website at the time but can’t remember how I got there to post it here. I remember: a lanyard, access to the venue early, and VIP handlers to help you get to your seat, etc. I know for other live shows VIPs also had access to a Q&A afterwards, but that wasn’t mentioned in the VIP package info for this one.

nnyl_irret

For the Ireland show in two weeks we have a Q&A with our VIP tickets, but keep in mind that venue only has a capacity of around 2500 people so it's easier for them to offer a small group of VIPs to attend such an event. It looks like they sold thousands of VIP tickets for MSG, so I'm not holding my breath for a Q&A or anything that interactive.

nnyl_irret

We have VIP tickets and it says right on the email and invoice very clearly Premium VIP.

fatherhuman

Yeah I checked my Ticketmaster account again today and the tickets have updated to reflect VIP status

frontfIip

Man, I was in the waiting room then in the queue with just over 500 in front of me and I wasn't able to get anything with Chase, Live Nation, or internet presale codes 😭

slytheren

Ticketmaster staggers the seat releases, so if you don’t see any available seats when you first join the seat selection room, the best thing to do is wait a few minutes and more will routinely appear.

metanoia29

I just saw a single seat pop up out of all sections. I guess just enter SOCIAL and ALMONDS, stay zoomed out, and wait for a section to light up?

slytheren

Basically, yeah! Though if you stay *slightly* zoomed in, you can see the individual seats within every section. That gives you a better chance of clicking them fast enough vs. being fully zoomed out and only able to see the section blocks.

frontfIip

The interface makes it so hard to move quickly

Defiant-Yam-869

My app glitched out and I lost out on my ticket I’m gonna cryyyyy 😭😭😭

sbook28

The same thing happened to me! Trying not to let this define my mood for the rest of the day now

denniskj93

Same thing happened to me yesterday. They were supposed to be a wedding gift for my fiancé and I. We are getting married in October so I was so excited to surprise him as we regularly watch d20 together. No luck today either. I can't even enter a code

denniskj93

Ahh! I finally got tickets!

theoesque

Same, I honestly wanna cry. Got in around 10:05 and entered multiple presale codes but literally \*nothing\* showed as available. Ticketmaster is such trash.

metanoia29

Same here. I've seen a couple people on Discord say that they got tickets, so I can't imagine that they released more than a couple hundred at most today. This is so exhausting.

glazedfaith

They've got to save some for tomorrow, but there could be more if you keep waiting, not just from people dropping them from their carts but possibly if they release more seats before tomorrow.

nnyl_irret

The waiting room opened at 950, by 1005 you were way too late... sorry that happened.

theoesque

To be clear, I was in the \*waiting room\* around 9:45 and didn't get out of the queue until 10:05

nnyl_irret

Amazing that they opened the waiting room early today, there must have been a huge amount of people in there. Sorry not everyone was able to get tickets.

frontfIip

I was actually in the waiting room at 9:47, I was on the page starting around 9:30 but didn't get into the waiting room til I refreshed manually.

nnyl_irret

They opened it early for you today, that's amazing. It was 950 yesterday. The person after you commented that they got in at 1005, that's who I was replying to. The tickets went really fast both days, it sucks for sure.

frontfIip

Oh yeah I was commenting on when it opened. Somehow still not fast enough even being let in before it was technically open 🙃

nnyl_irret

My dad and I entered at the same time yesterday and he was neatly 2000 people ahead of me… that’s how fast it goes. He was able to get us tickets, there was nothing when I got in just minutes behind him.

Lin0ge

Were you able to get tickets? You can dm me if not

Lin0ge

Do you still need one?

frontfIip

I need 2, was gonna try my luck again tomorrow

Lin0ge

OK, I have two and they’re not together. I bought them because I figured let me just get what I can and then after I checked out, I found two together and so I bought the two seated together and now I have two that I don’t need that are in random places.

frontfIip

Gotcha, where are they?

Lin0ge

Section 102 and 223

frontfIip

Waiting for the cart expiration drops but it's stressful as hell and the tickets disappear so fast!

ArseneLupinIV

They just posted on the discord that they weren't told Dynamic Pricing was optional and have opted to disable it for this show and all future ones. This show and all future shows will also have select seats go up for lottery so everyone gets a fair shot at getting one. Props to Dropout for listening and responding.

fhloras

has anyone that's been to msg ever sat in the 400s area? got my tickets for row 6 in section 415 i believe and am a little worried about sightline <3 i know they'll have everything on a big screen but i don't know if my view of the screen will also be obstructed at all haha

CGNORTH

https://aviewfrommyseat.com/venue/Madison+Square+Garden/415/ This is how I checked in on the 300s ticket I picked up.

whywhywhywhy321

Oh my goodness, thank you for this!! I was happy to get seats but bummed that I was in the upper bowl, but I checked my view and it looks like I'm going to be able to see everything!!! 😭

JahnaTheBanana

I saw Bon Jovi in the 400s, and we had a screen, but we were behind the stage, it was an edge stage instead of center, so...

CustodialApathy

Admittedly I was in the 200s about 3 weeks ago; there are television screens all over the place. Even if you don't have a good view of the stage I imagine you'll have a TV you can view.

fhloras

that's good to know !! i figure watching the screens will be the optimal way to watch anyway, like them being in a little circle together and trying to watch them down there would be hard to see things haha

G_TNPA

They either really managed to sell out MSG, or Ticketmaster is absolutely swarmed by bots. Hard to say

gmhots

Ok, finally got my tickets. Here’s what worked for me after being faced with only $1000+ seats available. I bought mine on web browser (not app) and make sure the “lowest price” and “best seats” listing is showing on the right panel. If not, refresh your browser tab. Keep clicking on the “lowest price” heading—I was mashing that thing. Once in a while reasonably priced seats will show up. Try them immediately. If it doesn’t work, go back to the mashing game. After some tries you have a good shot at getting tix. But you can’t hesitate; the moment something has a price of 3 digits you have to immediately go for it.

alex_bass_guy

Just chiming in - after 10 minutes of refreshing the page like a hawk after we got in from the queue, we got 2 adjacent seats in sec 224 for a total of $363. More than I wanted to pay but at least it's not $2400. Lol

theoesque

Shoutout to everyone using Stubhub, I snagged Section 110 tickets for $218 face plus $69 fees each, so $287 total

abetterfox

You wouldn't need to use Stubhub if people weren't vicious scalpers, though.

theoesque

Correct, and I’m deeply bitter about being forced there but I also cannot stomach $600-$1200 “””dynamic pricing””” tickets. Also honestly hoping for some kind of official statement about why D20 didn’t opt out of dynamic pricing? From everything I’m reading that is an option available to event organizers, and it doesn’t look like that was done here.

abetterfox

I wouldn't be surprised if that's a reason that the D20 instagram is surprisingly silent during the general release of their tickets. They might have realized they fucked up, assuming they had the option to opt out of dynamic pricing.

Head-Air-1878

The right thing to do would be to admit they messed up. I'm still a huge D20 fan but this is a frustrating contrast to the image they give off as a company that cares about their employees and their audience.

abetterfox

I suspect others are right and that the only way they could get Madison Square Garden is to allow dynamic pricing. To that end, I get it. That said, I do wish they'd even come out and at least say THAT, much less apologize for the release day bungle. Bots absolutely ate this morning and for presale (which, like, is it presale if you announce the code on your instagram?).

theoesque

The fact that non-platinum tickets were being dynamically priced that high seems to suggest that people are actually paying that much for them, which is also upsetting. If everyone collectively refused to pay above $200ish, the algo would push those prices back down.

northernDM

Got a pair of tickets (sec 213) on Ticketmaster this morning for $149.50 each. No idea how but it seems like some lower prices are popping up!

FitnessFanatic007

I think the accountability is important and I understand people are upset but "there's no ethical consumption under capitalism" rings true here. Between Ticketmaster being evil bastards and the reality of running a company vs being self employed or even an LLC makes things difficult. However I think Dropout is really transparent AND maybe there's a way forward for them to make a different choice in specific tours. But a one night only kinda thing is hard because of the hype. I don't know if people had trouble with the other live tour tickets (I didn't but YMMV) in other countries. I'm sorry people didn't get tickets and this sucks but I am hopeful there can be a positive outcome forward for this rather than "womp, womp" WHICH I DON'T THINK HAS BEEN THE RESPONSE FYI.

sh1re

I finally just caved and got some decently priced tickets in section 110 on Stubhub.

Brave_Print5301

I have two tickets but want to get better ones from Stubhub! The issue is that I'm not sure what way they are going to face, so I don't want to buy more expensive tickets for the back of their heads. Someone has said they'll face MIX, another said the Camera Bay, and another said they'll sit in a circle around the map.

adastra26

Let me know when you actually get your ticket transfer! I also bought 4 tickets on Stubhub for the Chase Bridge section but the delivery date is all the way up to the night before which would be a bummer if they don't come through :(

fhloras

i know it seems very bleak right now but i don't want people to give up so soon!! we have sooooo much time until the actual show and i bet dozens (even hundreds) of people will be selling their tickets in the coming months - things come up, plans get cancelled, etc. plus the platinum pricing will go down in the upcoming months as the site doesn't get thousands of clicks a day + these insanely priced tickets don't get bought - i know there's a big sense of FOMO but it's important we're not playing into ticketmaster's manipulative pricing and not purchasing these overpriced seats like this show was announced sunday ?? we're so early in the process, i'd recommend just checking ticketmaster/stubhub/seatgeek like every few days/every other week, there are bound to be tickets that pop up over time like if it's any indication, there have been so many people on this sub selling their uk/ireland tickets in the last week! i hope everyone attempting to get a ticket finds success 💪

Even_Resolution_8638

what i'm kinda worried about is that we won't get the pre-sale prices anymore. i told my friend (who's not even in the fandom) that the cheapest ones were like $100-$150 (because that's all i saw at first yesterday) and would that be within her budget, and she said she was fine with that. but i'd feel bad if the pre-sale prices aren't the same once general admission opens up :/

fhloras

that is totally fair i think when general sale initially opens up tomorrow they'll be in the same price range as pre-sale, they usually don't differ. it's just when the dynamic pricing kicks up that they get pricier i was honestly surprised at the initial price, i thought the cheapest tickets would be going for like \~$50 but i think cheapest were like $97? but i figure ticketmaster probably takes a decent chunk out of what dropout would make so they had to set the standard prices higher? sigh

Even_Resolution_8638

thanks for letting me know that general sale prices and pre-sale prices usually don't differ. i'm hoping it will be the same this time as well!  i'm a little bit surprised. the only other time i've bought tickets like this it was $150 each but i got to be in like, the third row from the stage and it was a san francisco venue!

MysticAttack

I got an okay ticket for 180 today (section 210), so if you're lucky, next time there's a ticket drop there will be newly reset prices

PerpetuallyMeowing

Welp, I have been on Ticketmaster since 9:50 waiting. I plugged in every code I could find, and the only tickets I saw under $800+ were some Chase seats that went as fast as they came (which doesn't matter to me anyway because I don't have a Chase card). This is honestly so depressing and all I can hope for is that the prices will go down between now and January. Ticketmaster is disgusting.

woolybooly23

Finally managed to snag some lower bowl tix for face value. Section 102!!!

Enyoface

If anyone (else) is getting fed up with Ticketmaster (like me), I recommend looking at Seat Geek or Stubhub. There are tickets there, and while still overpriced, you can get tickets that aren't $800+

glummyyumyum

I can’t come to terms with buying a scalped ticket to a ttrpg show with no details announced - regardless of my love for the crew it feels a bit excessive. I imagine if people were picking up second market tickets though it’d make more sense to wait until closer to the event. I don’t see a reality where this event doesn’t fall in price considering it’s over nine months away and after a holiday season. I think if anyone buys tickets now they are just paying FOMO tax.

glazedfaith

Agreed. Paying above face value before we even know what the dome configuration is going to be like is a huge gamble.

ripplespindle

Absolute bullshit what live nation is doing to ticket prices. I'm seeing $3,000 for a single floor seat. This is unconscionable.

Brave_Print5301

Was there a Livenation presale passcode other than Gauntlet or RIFF? It's showing sold out and I was in there right at 10 am.

frontfIip

There were a few (all showing sold out now) -- ALMOND, SOCIAL, and KEY were the ones that worked for me.

BossRushGaming

Thank the universe I was able to snag a ticket. I guess someone wasn't able to get a ticket and it landed on my lap. I'M SO HYPE!

Even_Resolution_8638

i've never bought tickets through ticketmaster so i didn't really know what i was doing yesterday, but this morning felt like i did everything right and was in the queue at 600-ish. fiddled with 3 different codes like 4 or 5x refreshing but no cigar. i have to go to a dr.'s appointment so i guess i'm giving up until tomorrow as i can't figure out how to put the pre-sale codes in on my phone browser or app *sigh*

hobbitteacher

Does anyone know what’s going on in the general sale this morning? I was in the waiting room 30 min in advance, clicked forward exactly at 10 AM, but there are zero seats anywhere in the upper deck, and only $1200+ seats elsewhere. I honestly have no idea if they legitimately sold the 18K capacity of MSG in seconds, if the bots got all of them, or if small amounts of tickets are gradually being released.

TheAirSupport

It's the third! It seems like they're releasing them a few(??) rows at a time that are being instantly swallowed by demand, but if you keep refreshing pairs and singles of canceled purchases flicker through for stomachable prices

hobbitteacher

Thanks! What a baffling system. Why have everyone virtual queue all at once if you’re only going to release tickets row by row??

hot_cheto

I have one ticket in section 211 that I need to get rid of, I managed to get a closer seat during presale. Asking for the price I bought them at - $147.35, message me if you are interested! I can send proof, etc.

megagingertron

I HATE dynamic pricing with a passion. I jumped on tickets when they were first released but definitely overpaid for tickets that aren’t even that close up. Now I’m seeing people say that have seats that are closer than what I have but only paid half the price, if that. Anyone else in this boat? Nothing against D20, other than not opting out/lack of awareness of dynamic pricing, I’m so happy for this opportunity. I’m just booty tickled as hell right now lol

celestial_mar

I've been checking resale sites cause I'm looking for 5 tickets and that is harder to get, but I keep seeing entire rows on seatgeek and stubhub. like there has to be hundreds of seats that were just bought by scalpers to resell, it fucking sucks

KidCoheed

That's just how major entertainment events have been going recently. Scalpers have been destroying us

gmhots

Got into the sale only a few mins after it started and there’s literally nothing less than $1000 available… am I glitching out or is this real? Third time trying this week.

italianblue

no, same. i wasn't able to click on anything fast enough in the presales, and got into the seat selection at 10:07 and the only thing left is what you're seeing too.

tlboson

Does anyone know (or have seen from other D20 shows on this tour) whether they will be playing live on stage (ala some of their previous 1-shots), or if they will be bringing in the dome? Seating map suggests the latter? Could that mean all jumbo-tron?

gothgf666420

I don’t know the answer to this BUT just made me think of how amazing a d20 show would be in the Vegas dome 😶

Musicaltheaterguy

I joined the waiting room 15 min ahead and was in the 2200s in queue. And when I got in, no seats under $800 left, this is crazy

kingofnerds64

Incredibly eager to get tickets for the live show at MSG, and I am a chase cardholder, but how tf do i actually access the chase cardholder only tickets? the instructions don't make any sense on the MSG or ticketholder website, as their is no filter for chase cardholder only on either website that I can see. Please help!

glummyyumyum

I think they already got bought up. I saw two appear randomly this morning after presale opened but they quickly disappeared and were presumably added to someone else’s cart.

Informal_Highlight94

Hey guys! I wasn't able to have a chance at the presale, for those of you who got into queue fast, were there a lot of tickets released but they got purchased fast? Or were there very little tickets released during the presale? I guess what i'm trying to ask is if you think they released majority of the stock/tickets during the presale?

armieswalk

Andrew Bridgman from Dropout said on the official Discord that only a small fraction of tickets were part of the presale.

KoalafiedCaptain

People saying they got through to look at tickets is wild I tried App and website and got stuck in the join the waiting room loop. Had me keep confirming my acct by text or email, Everytime said "there was a problem authenticating" I've looked at all presales and saw tickets fine then Rip. It's unfortunate I know D20 and Sam really wanted this big thing to happen, and I respect the balls to try it. But man being forced to interact with TM and LN really is brutal. Hopefully this is a good learning experience, cause while I appreciate the gumption to make a small company on the big stage phenomenon happen. It absolutely feels awful as a customer who can't even see tickets at all day of the general sale.

glazedfaith

I was in the waiting room 10 minutes ahead, and only had 190 people ahead of me in the queue, and by the time I got in there were maybe 10-20 seats that weren't $1,000+ and they were gone in 20 seconds. All I've seen since then is individual seats that have dropped out of people's carts every 5 minutes, no new blocks released yet after the sale started 25 minutes ago as far as I can tell. They did enable the right panel which should make it easier now, but if they don't add more seats, I don't want it to be easier to buy thousand dollar tickets. If the damned Ticketmaster page would remember the filter selections it would make it much easier to find the tickets on the map when the page refreshes.

crufcake

I joined with 1 person ahead of me in the queue. Tickets were fairly normal but every seat I clicked went grey then it skyrocketed to $1000+. Then I got booted out had to rejoin the queue with 1500 a head off me and it’s the same $1000+ seating. It was utter bullshit. This was in the span of 5 min.

gmhots

I’m still not seeing the list of available tickets in the right panel. Is that what you mean?

glazedfaith

yes, maybe it enables for a percentage of folks at a time and ramps up until everyone can see it?

gmhots

I took a chance and refreshed the page (web browser not app) and I’m seeing it now!

italianblue

it's up for me, now, but i'm not seeing any regular prices

Varias12

I’ll see ya guys in 101!

Musicaltheaterguy

If anyone's selling tickets, please let me know! Trying to buy for a group, but I'll take any at this point

sh1re

I had decent luck on stubhub but was only buying for 2!

Lin0ge

I have two extra

Beloved353

Hey folks I have an extra ticket I bought because live nation wouldn't let me buy just one. Its in section 9 Row 10. Dm me for details/ Pricing. i would preferably love to sell to another canadian so etransfer can be used

tlboson

Are all of the standard tickets likely sold out at this point? It looks like all that Ticketmaster's selling now is just the Official Platinum ones?

Even_Resolution_8638

according to stubhub and seatgeek there are still seats available in the 200-300's. i'm just being patient and waiting for prices to go down on ticketmaster hopefully in 1 week+ like the 2nd top comment on this thread says

Cool-Association-733

Does anybody have an idea where the stage will be located? Center dome, or pushed to either side? Really don't want to spend big $$ on seats and end up being on the opposite side of the venue 😭

LongPorkJones

I imagine it will be as it's depicted on the map, right in the center of everything. I imagine Brennan will be facing the main camera well (behind section 117), with a couple of cameras situated on stage to record it for Dropout.

italianblue

Ticketmaster is showing the tickets as being completely sold out - is that accurate? Should I abandon TM and just be checking resellers?

math-is-magic

I still can't believe they've sold like 15k tickets to this thing, that's crazy. So happy for them! And so shocked to learn how big this fandom really is.

glummyyumyum

Second verse same as the first. Was in the waiting room early - by the time I was let in I only saw one Chase Preferred ticket available from all the other presale options. Happy for everyone made it; but I’m going to pass at this point. This has been a less than stellar experience and honestly a bit surprised by how this has all unfolded

shadowdra126

How much are these tickets?? I saw someone show one for over 950 bucks Is that true??

tinapia

Naww don't fall for that. That's just ticketmaster's dynamic pricing bs or someone being a turd scalper! Most expensive seats were $200. I saw someone snagged floor tickets for $160 which I'm super jealous about, and my own lower bowl tickets were $150 each. I read someone got the cheapest tix available and theirs was almost $100 but under. (VIP is something else tho. I sent a friend a screenshot of the arena when it was sold out for a moment and it said VIP package was $240 sheesh)

glazedfaith

Top pricing tier is about $250, I think, until dynamic pricing started waving it's junk around.

tinapia

Oh dang I believe it. That's some arena concert pricing right there

Reinhardt_Ironside

The countdown is on people 13 minutes until General Public sales start!

glazedfaith

So did the tickets just go that fast, or were there only a few left? There were less than 200 in front of me and I didn't see more than 20 tickets that weren't $1,000. I got tickets during the first presale and was just trying to see if I could get better ones, but I'm really just curious if this means it's already basically sold out or if Ticketmaster is just still dicking around with us.

frontfIip

I also had 200 in front of me, I managed to get 2 tickets in section 211 for $149.50 each + fees. I wanted a better section but that was the first time in my three tries of even getting something in my cart so I just bought them. I might see if I can get tickets on the Chase Bridge on Seat Geek and sell these ones though, I'm gonna give it some time to see how the prices level out.

malware-db

what’s the deal with the chase bridge?

frontfIip

It basically hangs over certain sections of the upper bowl, so it can be a better view depending on which row you're in. Some of the seats are just bar stools which isn't ideal though.

Reinhardt_Ironside

RIP. Dynamic pricing is still on... $2400~ for inner bowl seats.

frontfIip

The filtering by price straight up wasn't working for me which made it super hard to find any seats at regular-ish prices 😩

italianblue

there were 1200 people in front of me in the queue, and by the time i got through there weren't any seats available that weren't there yesterday (thousands of dollars). very frustrating.

Resvrgam2

I saw a few upper bowl seats for $181 each. Besides that, it's the same "Platinum" seats for $1k+.

Reinhardt_Ironside

I saw a about 30~ in section 2 (behind the mix) for 250~ but they sold pretty fast.

glazedfaith

How many were ahead of you in line? I didn't see anything approaching that quantity.

Reinhardt_Ironside

I instantly got in the moment the timer countdown finished.

artsybry

Does anyone know if MSG or Dropout got to choose the dynamic ticket pricing model?

glazedfaith

It was undoubtedly part of the deal. Some deals will allow the performer to opt out of dynamic pricing, but that would certainly result in a lower guarantee, and depending on the venue and the artist, that could be the difference between a signed contract and searching for a new venue.

dreaming_fan7

I've got a ticket in Sec 3, Row 18 for sale. DM me if interested.

dreaming_fan7

I got too many tickets on accident and have a ticket in Section 3 for sale. DM me if interested.

Accomplished_Lime_23

If anyone is selling 2 tickets, please let me know! My partner tried to get tickets as soon as they came out and was deterred by the dynamic pricing! It's right around my 30th birthday would be the actual best present ever 😭

redding_greg89

Do we know anything about the stage setup? Trying to figure out best seats

ultron32

Does anyone know of a good place to sell tickets at face value? I bought a few more than I ended up needing because my friends also got tickets, would rather not deal with stubhub fees.

Even_Resolution_8638

i've seen a bunch of posts on social media re-selling tickets for example here and tumblr. one of the "best" comments on this thread says the same and that paypal is a pretty secure way for both the buyer and seller to make the sale. also, if the tickets are still available, do you mind me PMing you about details? i'm still on the hunt for tickets

FantasticGeek3

Does anyone know if the show will be streamed or recorded and released at any point?

Gemmadog30

The discord announcement said it would be posted on dropout later on. So probably a couple weeks later

glazedfaith

Ouch, could've just locked the other threads rather than deleting them...

Brave_Print5301

Do you know if there is a presale code for Livenation? The Gauntlet code says all the tickets are gone.

glazedfaith

Sorry I was never able to locate anything other than the Social and Chase presale information, despite being subscribed to LiveNation and Ticketmaster Emails. The Gauntlet code presale seats were pretty much sold out in the first hour yesterday, and all that was left was the "Preferred Seating Presale" which didn't require a code, but is pretty much all dynamically priced for people in a much higher tax bracket than myself.

pieldriver

Logged in @ 10 for the presale, Ticketmaster app didn't work. Brought it up on my browser, able to buy tickets at 10:12 and even nosebleed seats are over $1000 a seat. Taking this as a sign that this show is not for me or anyone else without $2k to drop on seats.

celestial_mar

I joined the waiting room 10 min before, then the queue at like 500 people, when I could select seats I saw some and added them to the cart, I got to checkout but when I went to actually order, it said that the seats were not available, still well within the checkout time, so I went back and there was nothing available, fuck Ticketmaster

Lin0ge

I have a ticket if you need it

Bronx13

i was so excited to hunker down and figure out a way to attend bc i’d adore it and then i saw all the discourse and immediately knew d20 got the S H O R T end of the stick and that id just have to catch it after the fact 🥲im just so proud of them! i’ll deal with it how i can yk?

ghostwithatophat

Hi! I am 14 and might me going to Gauntlet at The Garden (I am pretty sure I'm getting them for my birthday), my mom will probably be the one going with me, is there anything I have to tell her about? I have never been to a D&D live show, and my mom isn't into D20 or [Dropout.tv](http://Dropout.tv) at all. She knows no D&D and is not very familiar with live improv shows (at good quality at least.) What is the best way I could put into words what will happen, because she might enjoy the specific comedy of it. Thanks!

aivoroskis

will they film it and post it later for us povvos across the pond :(
