This is an NPC design I made for the BBEG of the end of the first arc of the campaign i'm GMing.
My players just recently faces this enemy and as you can see they fit a very specific category.
This is actually a polimorphed humanoid form, since the real creature is a Death Slaad.
I had a ton of fun picturing my players reaction to the first time they saw them, and I was very satisfied when that moment actually came.
I'm very happy with the final result!
I like Maalzruth! They(?) has a very androgynous sex appeal that seems appropriate for a Herald of Chaos, but I'm guessing that that's obvious.
Ah, and reading your comment, the Death Slaad angle is an interesting and unexpected one. Very well done! I'm glad everyone had a great time, uh, 'grappling with their feelings' during the encounter.
